Leon’s Tree Service

Leon came on Friday and gave me an estimate ($ 1300 for 8 – 9 mequites seriously overgrown and with lots of mistletoe). They came back Monday morning and started my job. Everything was nicely trimmed, raked up, and cleaned up. They trimmed a round a bird’s nest so as not to disturb it. They even threw in pruning some branches from another tree without charging me extra. They cut up the large mesquite branches (which I use for firewood) and stacked them neatly by my woodpile. All in all, I was very satisfied and would recommend them.

I called Leon, he picked up the phone (which was a great start). He was with a customer when I called, but he told me he’d call me right back when he was done (and he did). We scheduled time for him to come out to give me a quote. He was here on time, very professional and personable. He gave me a quote, we scheduled a time to do the job. He and his crew showed up and did an excellent job. I had 5 big mesquite trees that needed trimming badly. Leon has a good eye for his line of work and the trees look great for a decent price. He did not butcher them as others have in the past. When they were done, they cleaned up the mess and left the yard in spotless condition. I also asked him about Unilocal… and he said what’s that. ha-​ha. So, if you are reading this review, please know these reviews are legitimate for Leon’s tree service. Would absolutely refer Leon to any looking for a Tree Trimming or Tree Removal services. They are wonderful to work with.

I called Leon based on another referral source. He was out to my house that day to look at and bid the job. Leon removed seven oleander trunks from my yard, some of which were huge.
Leon and his team of one worker came out and finished the job in about 90 minutes. They cleaned up well and the yard area looks great.
I appreciated Leon’s timelines and focus on removing the trunks. I would call him again for future work.

I believe he was also the only company I called that actually answered the call himself, and didnt have a front office person. The other companies took hours to get back to me, and for this job, I was wanting to schedule quickly and get the trimming done before it got any later in the season. Based of this and his great reviews on Angie’s List, I hired Leon’s Tree Service.
Leon and his crew of 3 arrived at 7:00am on the dot, per our arrangement. We looked at the trees together and he explained his suggestions, and he went from there. The crew worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up as they went, making sure to blow all the leaves and debris out of the rock in my yard. I had just had the landscapers clean up the yard earlier in the week after months of neglect, so this was important to me!
At the end of each initial trimming, Leon checked with me to see if I liked how it looked and if I wanted any more done. I made my requests, and he let me know what would be most beneficial for the tree, and for aesthetics. He explained how to water the trees post trimming, so they would regenerate quickly. While he was at my house, I got ready for work and even walked my dog, and the crew just worked away.
In the end, he offered my 10% off without me even asking (I was planning to use the 5% of Angie’s List coupon) — I was very grateful and impressed. I will definitely hire Leon’s again, and would recommend others to do the same!
