Great food and reasonable. The service always very attentive. Dined recently on a Sat. eve. on the patio. What a treat. Besides my favorite Meatball Ricotta our party of 5 was treated to some great saxophone jazz music. All in all consistently one of the best dining experiences in Tucson

Really great! Everyone loved their meal! Really good size portions too, we left full. I had the Eggplant Parmesan… it was DELICIOUS(and a great size portion too). The rest of our family had Meatball Ricotta, Penne and Sausage, Fettuccini Alfredo, and soup/salad, and they equally agreed that it was really good.

Delicious food. Huge servings. Reasonable prices. Long wine list. We were the only ones sitting outside and I think we got forgotten sometime but overall the service was good.

We had a delicious anniversary dinner with 2 entrees(eggplant parm and chicken cannelloni) a salad and 3 glasses of wine plus tip for under $ 50. And no problems at all with service… There were at least four different wait staff attending to us during our meal. My cannelloni was tremendous. A flavorful(bay leaf, sage) bechamel with spinach, carrots, onions and a very generous serving throughout of chicken breast stuffed two cannelloni and was baked to perfection. Just this side of «too rich». Like an discerning adult’s version of chicken pot pie, although I might not admit that publically. Total comfort taste and completely satisfying. I will order this without hesitation the next time we visit. Hubby loved his eggplant parm but was too engaged to do much more than groan with happiness. He liked his house Chianti; I liked my Chard. There were a number of folks including large parties dining around us and more coming in as we left. All with happy smiles.

Guiseppe’s is a consistently good restaurant. We come here for lunch every few weeks. The salad is always fresh, with tender greens and perfectly dressed. The chicken parmesan sandwich has two cutlets, pounded thin, breaded and fried. There is a generous amount of sauce and cheese. It is served with the top of the loaf, but I’m not sure about trying to pick it up, so I just eat it open-face. They include a steak knife on the plate, so I’m guessing I’m not the only knife-and-fork guy out there. The sandwiches include salad or parmesan potato chips. I always spring for both. Those potatoes are delicious. My wife ordered the eggplant parmesan and said it was some of the best she could remember eating. The eggplant was firm, yet tender and no bitterness at all. Like the chicken parmesan, it was nicely breaded and fried and served with their delicious sauce and cheese. I’ve always found the service to be excellent. The wait staff are very professional and efficient. BTW, if you don’t like Frank Sinatra, be warned that it’s the only thing that they play on the music system. Fortunately for me, I like Frank. Not sure I could work there though, since even a lunch visit has Love and Marriage stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

We made reservations for Fri but the person on the phone wrote it down for Saturday. We found this out when we arrived. The hostess said no worries I can make everything happen, I asked«the birthday sheet of Tiramsu too?» She said I think we are out. Ugh they where. This is where I wonder how they will make this happen, since I brought my foodie compadre and his wife for his birthday and it being their first time there. Well from the hostess to the waiter Eddie and the owner they pulled it off. Serving of course their delicious large portion dishes, excellent wine(Ladera Cab) and for the birthday dessert the owner gave our table one of each of the desserts on the menu at no charge. Needless to say the owner and staff made it happen and of course earned our loyalty and gained my compadre and wife as new customers. Great job Guiseppes!

great portions and great price. Has a party of 11 people and they accommodated perfectly with a somewhat long wait but no shortage of bread!

The food is delicious and the ambiance is amazing. We ate outside when there was a nice cool(not cold) breeze. The service was great! Very friendly and curteous.(Did I spell that right)… Anyways, it’s a great place to eat it. A must try if you’re living in Tucson and want some good food with a good view! Oh, and the prices aren’t bad either. My wife had the meatballs w/pasta and i ordered the chicken fettuccine.. . Both delicious. Next time I’m getting the seafood pasta!!!

Giuseppe’s is hidden in the plaza that Putney’s lives in — I had no idea that it existed until we planned a surprise birthday dinner for a friend there. Service was SLOW but accommodating — I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt here and say service is timed more to the European style of dining rather than the«wham bam thank you ma’am» style that America is used to. Drinks took an exceptionally long time to come out, which may not have been the server’s fault but the bar’s, but certainly if that is the case the server can relay the message to the table that the drinks are being prepared, rather than us just thinking that they’ve forgotten about them altogether. The food that came out looked like old school Italian fare — lots of cheese, sauces, and pasta. I(and curse my allergy testing) am currently following a no gluten diet to see if that will help some health stuff, ordered the Giuseppe salad and added a portion of grilled salmon to it. The salad was dressed lightly, had fresh ingredients, and I enjoyed the mixture of flavors. The salmon was seasoned well but overcooked. Altogether my salad came to $ 14.50 which I think is reasonable for the amount of salmon they put on the salad. Everyone around me at the table seemed to enjoy their dishes, from fettucine alfredo to lamb osso bucco. The one complaint I heard was that a side of meatballs actually had bigger chunks of diced onion that were not properly cooked down(and this person HATES onion so it was REALLY apparent to them). Ambiance — we sat out on the patio — I totally recommend having your party sit out there if the weather is great. It’s pretty, you can people watch, and you can hear each other talk. This isn’t a place I would go out of my way to go back to on my own, as I think the Italian food I make(and salads) at home are far superior, however if someone else suggests meeting here I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back.

Alright I love this place and I am an absolute insufferable snob when it comes to Italian food. Anyone can phone it in when it comes to Italian food: pasta, sauce, cheese. Not this place. There are little details(see the photos; they’re representative) indicating the care with which this food is made. Honestly, I’d expect it to cost a lot more than it does. Even the bread is outstanding. Definitely try their antipasto plate as an appetizer(share it!). Their stuffed mushrooms will make you smile, too. We usually order both. What’s great about these guys is there’s way more to the food than just pasta — be it bracciole, osso bucco, or what have you. Definitely try something you might not have had before. I’ve eaten here multiple times and I can’t even bring myself to eat at any other Italian places, just because I leave here so satisfied every time I go. If the weather is permitting, sit outside near the back for a great view of the Catalinas. On the weekend, you’ll need reservations(though you can usually snarf an outside table if you don’t). This place always seems to be packed with happy campers every time I go. Just love these folks to pieces. This is *real food.* And Giuseppe’s: I had your special with the ribs and risotto. The risotto was ridiculous. It can pardon original sin and restore us to our place in Eden before the fall. You need to seriously put risotto on your menu permanently.

Our food was excellent. We started with the antipasto plate and was surprised with how much food was on it. Both the entrées we ordered were delicious with large portions. Our server wasn’t very attentive but the food made up for it and was reasonably priced.

Another awesome experience! Amazing food and great service. Even got a chance to meet the owner, in the back cooking with everyone else!!! That’s a real business man!!! BTW, I’m not Jason… But he must be a cool dude!

This is a great place if you’re looking for some solid Italian food. It came highly recommended by someone I work with and it totally lived to the expectations. We decided to sit outside as there was a spectacular lightning show going over the Catalinas. The buttery garlic bread they bring out is fresh and hot. Our server brought us a small side of their house vinaigrette salad dressing to dip it in. It was so good. The oil they have at the table to complement the bread is pretty light and the balsamic vinegar is just fine — nothing too special going on there. We ordered their grilled pork and the meatball ricotta. The grilled pork was really good. The pork was nicely cooked and went great with the grilled spinach that came along with it. The spinach was actually really good. It was topped with mozzarella cheese — a bit too much cheese for my taste — and came with a bit of linguine and some red sauce that I could not get enough of. The linguine was cooked just right and that red sauce still taunts my taste buds for more. The meatball ricotta was a whole lot of a dish. Really, there was a whole lot of food that came with this plate that my friend didn’t even finish it. The meatballs were so nice and they did not skimp on the amount they give. The sauce was delicious, farfalle pasta great, and the cheese was a lot. I think we left about a pound of cheese on the plate because there was so much of it. Lovely dish though, you wouldn’t be disappointed if you got it. Because both dishes were so filling, we weren’t able to get their Dolce de Patricia. We had seen it come out a few times while eating, and this thing looked divine. Next time I visit, it’s on my need to have list. Side note. They have this beautiful landscape painting right inside their entrance. I asked the manager about it as he came by our table, and mentioned that they get their art from the Jane Hamilton Fine Art Gallery just a couple miles down the road. Every so often, they come and replace the painting with another one.

if you skip this restaurant, you’ll be skipping one of the best meals in the area. I return whenever i’m in town for business, approx once/quarter and it continues to not disappoint.

Guiseppe’s is first-rate Italian food. I don’t get out for Italian very often, but this place does it right. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner and both are fantastic. If the weather is cooperating(i.e. it’s not summer!), sitting outside offers great views of the Catalinas if you can manage to get a table on the west side of the patio. In a city where it seems tough(at least to me) to find great Italian food, this one is at the top for me.

So went back for our second time and rounded up the kids this trip. Went in for some appetizers and drinks for all of us and was very good. I must say for the great service and good home cooked food you get great portions for little money. Top in my book for good Italian food — I don’t give too many 5 stars.

Guiseppe’s has great Italian food! After reading reviews, my friend and I ate at the restaurant for the first time. We were seated promptly and were given bread as an appetizer while waiting for the food. The waitress was especially helpful with the menu, explaining her recommendations. My friend got the sausage penne and I got the pesto chicken salad with double greens, no pasta. Both were very good — I absolutely loved the salad, which came with chicken, greens, tomatoes, red bell peppers, and the perfect pesto sauce. The wait for the food wasn’t long, possibly because it was during lunch hour. The atmosphere: the restaurant features both inside and outside sitting areas. The outside sitting area is under a cover, which keeps the area cool. However, we decided to eat inside because of my terrible pollen allergies, but I was not disappointed — the inside seating area was decorated neatly with several paintings. Guiseppe’s is a great place to go with both friends and family. I will go back again, probably with family members.

Our family loves Guiseppe’s! The food is delicious, they keep our drinks filled, and the soft buttery herb bread just keeps coming. Have tried several things here, Veal Parmesan, Chicken Parmesan, Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich(which wasn’t in the lunch menu but they were awesome enough to make me one anyway), Fettuccine Alfredo, Meatballs Ricotta, and many others… There has never been anything we weren’t very happy with, leaving VERY satisfied. It’s a great local place with really good traditional Italian foods. We try to get in at least once a month. Glad to have them here so close to home. Delicious!

Although it was a beautiful night, I came hungry and excited. Apparently the waiter came to us 50 min later after we ordered and said he made a mistake. Cudos to the fact that he came to let us know. However, he didn’t even offer anything, not even more bread. My mistake for skipping lunch and having my hopes up. I probably won’t come back. No food is that good to wait an hour. And I just wanted to let you know. I wasn’t here an hour. I was here longer Because we already had our drinks. I usually like to give good reviews and just decide to come back to ones I am disappointed in but I had to say this was only handled subpar. Food is ok. Not 55 min good though. I probably won’t come back.
