I’ve been here many times, but I’ve stopped now. The last time I went, I got some soup, and found a HAIR in it. We sat near the kitchen, and I could see inside. Many of the employees were on their phones, not working. The hair in the soup is disgusting, but if it wasn’t for that, it’s a less than average restaurant. Definitely would not recommend.

Summary: We came at 2:30 and i was expecting bad left over food. To my surprise, there were still fresh hot food coming from the kitchen when they close lunch buffet at 3:30pm. Kudos for that. Buffet for 7.99 during weekdays. Kids were like several dollars. The food were good and lots of option. Sushi rolls — I would skip that Orange Chicken = Very good. Similar to Panda Express Sweet donuts = good Wings = tasty H&S soup = solid Rice, fish, Noodles, vegetables, pizza, Teriyaki chicken etc Good selection for lunch. Hey 7.99. It is a steal. Kids Friendly = Yes. Nice BIG place.

The foods pretty good, not a lot to choose from though. Service was exceptional. Also the place was really clean, no real complaints here.

All in all the food was ok… nothing to complain about as far as the taste goes… but the selection was very small… nothing to make me really wanna go back… if I am in a pinch and am near this place I might go back… but there are a lot better Asian buffets around

Ok they walked in the setting was nice for me where sat down for drinks we told the waiter what we wanted and they came back with completely wrong sodas to fix it and she came back with 2 more drinks that were definitely right but there was an ice IceCube that had a piece of food frozen inside of it. That was disgusting I don’t think I’m going to go back

I wasn’t that impressed I came about 8:15 and the sushi was pretty dry and no more being made. I prefer the China Olive on Irvington

For a buffet it beats the hell out of Hometown. I didn’t get sick. Some dishes seem strange, I’ve never had Chinese noodles made out spaghetti. That least there is enough variety that one can find your favorites. Good desserts. Good service. Would repeat.

As others have said, this is the best Chinese buffet in Tucson. Tucson really isn’t known for Chinese food like a city like San Francisco is, so I’ll cut this place some slack. Being that Chinese is my wife’s favorite food, we stop by here often. The food is pretty good and none of the things I’ve tried are old. My favorite thing to eat here is the orange chicken and the won ton soup. The servers are always quick to clean up plates and getting refills, which I like. If you’re looking for the best Chinese buffet in Tucson, this is it.

First of all, any place that puts up a sign that says«Break plate $ 3, Break bowl $ 2» will never get my business again. I don’t expect high class at a buffet, but that’s just tacky. Most of the food was terrible too. The sushi was ok, but the rest was flavorless and not fresh.

In town for business and in my travels I have found some of the greatest buffets. thus places left a lot to be desired. The seating booth looked dirty the first one they gave me had a broken bench seat. The food was tasteless. I like to try a little bit of everything. I love looking for the flavor and this not a good experience to do so here. The staff was not visible. There was a waitress standing near the food area and she looked at everyone getting food. I guess she was the food guard. I will not be returning.

Of all the Chinese buffets, I think this one is the best. Now, that doesn’t mean the«best one ever», but instead the best of what is available in Tucson. The food is decent for the most part. Yes, the décor leaves a little to be desired but who cares. I feel if you’re at a buffet, you’ve kind of given up on a high class dining experience, am I right? Either way, I’ve been here with a large group and just my family, too. They have two buffet tables with the hot and fried dishes(orange chicken, fried rice, broccoli beef, egg rolls, etc), one buffet table is for salad and cold foods, another is for desserts and one for sushi. I have never tried the sushi but everything else is okay. The service is usually good and some servers are better than others but I’m never without a full glass of water. I would recommend it for a casual dining experience. Plus I like the music they play.

Meh. The hostess was a little on the gruff side, the server was next to nonexistent, only showing up to clear the plates away once and deliver the check(20 minutes after we’d finished eating, and just been sitting there passing time watching t.v.), and the place looked wrecked, with food all over the carpet in every dining area that I saw. Then there’s the food. Double meh. The sushi was actually pretty good(keep in mind that I only ate the rolls which didn’t have raw fish in them), and I enjoyed the chicken skewers(i.e. rat on a stick) and mushrooms, but the rest of the items I sampled were unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before… And not in a positive way. The beef and broccoli was relatively flavorless, the ribs had very little actual meat and a rather sickening BBQ sauce on them, the cheesy crab bake was just… weird, and the pork tasted like fish and fell apart in layers after I took a bite. Again, weird. So, would I come back? Nope. I don’t think I could justify paying $ 10.49(+ drink + tax + tip) for a meal like this ever again.

I was surprised by how clean this place was. The food was typical for a buffet. It was good as far as buffet food goes. My 4 yo daughter loves China buffets and this one is the best by far in Tucson.

Pretty much your standard Chinese buffet plus sushi. *shrugs* The sushi isn’t anything to write home about but it was still filling. I highly recommend coming here if you have a big group but not wanting to spend a lot of money. Everyone in our group was able to choose a dish that they liked instead of having to settle. Service was spotty. We kept having to track our waiter down for refills Overall, it was an OK experience.

As a general rule I don’t do buffet restaurants for the simple reason I feel like a pig at the troff. The being said I am happy to say Grand Buffet is quite good the kitchen employees were very quick I never saw an empty container and surprisingly nearly all the food was fairly tasty. The waitress was excellent never allowing my glass to run low nor our table to fill with plates. The only thing that was really lacking in my opinion was atmosphere. Part of the dining experience is the setting I love culture but it was very plain. The booths make me feel like an animal in a pin also. Still all things considered a good place to eat.

One of the best Chinese buffets in Tucson. Everything was clean. The sushi was just ok, of course i never have high expectations in sushi at buffets. You wont be disappointed eating here compared to other places in this city

My tip was yuck that’s because as we were sitting there eating our dinner there was a young man who works for the restaurant sitting at the table right behind us wrapping silverware and he took time out to scroll through his cell phone with one hand while he use the other hand to generously pick his nose and when he was all done picking and flicking he wiped his hands on his clothes and finished wrapping the silver. As for the food, it wasn’t that good. Even though the place had just opened at 11 am when we went in the food looked like it had been there a while. If you want fresh Asian food go to the Lotus Garden on Speedway.

I am not a huge fan of these types of buffets, simply because I’ve had such poor luck in Tucson. I am from southern California where you can find some amazing Asian-style buffets. Here? Not so much. But of all the locations I have tried in Tucson, I must say that despite its limitations Grand Buffet is the best. I have been three times. For the most part, the place is tidy and is rarely too, too busy. Sure, the furniture is somewhat worn in places, but the staff tend to keep the buffet line and the sushi bar tidy. That’s huge right there. How many times have you been to a buffet and found slop on the tables, on the floors, on the walls, on the ceiling! So kudos there. One little annoyance: The servers take your drink orders before you are able to even sit down. This is one of my own pet peeves. It’s always awkward standing in the middle of the floor right in front of your table as all parties are calling out their drink orders. On to the food selections. Prices as of Oct. 2012 are: Monday through Saturday for the lunch buffet(11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) $ 7.25 for adults and about $ 3.60 for kids(defined as those between the ages of 3 and 10). There is a brunch buffet that is slightly more expensive that runs 3:30 to 4 p.m. No kidding. That’s what it says on the menu. The dinner buffet, from 4 to 9 p.m., will run just under $ 10 for adults and nearly $ 5 for kids. And, apparently, they offer an all day dinner buffet on Sundays and holidays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant also offers a carry out buffet based on the pound. If you are a serious carnivore, this is the place for you! It’s beef, fish and pork for days! Unfortunately, the restaurant does not seem to rotate its selections at all, or at least that is what I’ve observed on the few trips I have made. It’s always the generic staples: beef and broccoli, pork ribs, egg drop soup, fried wontons, chicken wings, french fries, pizza, pepper steak beef and salmon in what appears to be some sort of butter sauce. Bummer. I’m always going for the vegetables. I love their stir fry bean sprouts. The dish is actually quite nice and light. But aside from picking the broccoli out of the beef and broccoli, that’s about it for decent vegetable dishes, though you can order vegetarian options from the menu. The sushi is just OK. The fish always seems pretty fresh, but they love to offer rolls that have been deep fried with tons of cream cheese. I know some folks love that stuff — so this is the place for you — but I’m not down for it. I usually go with the nigiri and, if you can get it right as the sushi chef is making it, it’s not bad for a buffet. As for the menu, it’s quite extensive, and most dishes will run you between $ 6.50 and $ 10. Among them: moo shu, fried rice, low mein, chop suey, egg foo young, chicken in hot garlic sauce, kung pao chicken, double fried pork, beef with scallops, shrimp with lobster sauce and almond chicken are among them. The more expensive house specials include the combination pan-fried noodles, orange chicken(which I found not to be very orange flavored at all), sesame chicken, black bean mussels, orange beef and an assortment of shrimp, beef, chicken, roast pork and vegetables in a house special sauce. Interesting.

Your typical Chinese Buffet but a bit better. Restaurant itself is very clean and food is good. I found the beef in the beef broccoli a bit fatty, but the orange chicken was very good. Crab puffs were good & I recommend the chicken wings. Sushi is slightly better than OK and dessert is typical of a Chinese Buffet. Service is what you would expect, not outstanding but very efficient & attentive. And at $ 9.99, this place is a great value. I would definitely recommend.
