The #2 has mayo on it. The menu makes no mention of it. I cannot stomach the stuff. It’s pretty greasy and the meat was tough. Also the veggies weren’t sliced as expected, it was more like mushy purée. The whole dinner went into the trash because of the mayo issue. The sandwich was pretty large, though, so it’s not like they skimp on the portions.

There are times in life, those moments when you take a bite of something and think to yourself, «f*ck me, why does this taste so good?»…shortly followed by «restaurants can suck it… food trucks are it…» Gigi’s is one of those trucks that makes you not only forget, but fully reject the idea of brick and mortar restaurants. Why take the time to sit down, deal with wait staff, and pay inflated prices only to be disappointed by what you eat? I’ve eaten Gigi’s twice, first was the Chimichurri fries, then the Churrasco sandwich, and Chimi Rice Bowl. Let me preface my follow statement by proclaiming that if I could, and there is really no reason I couldn’t, I would eat Chimichurri every day of my life. It nourishes me, as only olive oil, parsley, and spices can… Gigi’s doesn’t pull punches in both flavor, concept, and portion. It rewards you every time you order, and its vibrant mix of fresh aggressive flavors makes me, as an emotional eater, moan in delight. I’m serious, I moan… a lot…

Cubano! Yummy grilled bread stuffed with shredded roasted pork, ham, cheese, pickles, lotsa mustard and some kind of delicious sauce. Comes with fries. Perfect meal to eat in the grass after riding a few miles in Cyclovia.

Tried this truck out when it came to my place of business! I ordered the Carne Asada Fries, and they were quite good! I would have preferred fresh cut fries, but even though frozen the fries were hot and crispy and in abundance! The meat was flavorful and plentiful although a bit fatty! All in all a very good experience! The green sauce which is a very unique chimichurri was outstanding! I would eat here again without question!

I never know what to get at Food Truck Roundups, but something about the Gigi’s truck caught my eye(perhaps the bright green? Visual menu board??) and I just had to try it! I decided on the Steak and Shrimp Burrito. It was later in the event and they had run out of shrimp, so they kindly charged a little less. The steak was tender and juicy. The burrito was a tasty treat and incredibly filling! I was able to save half for the next day! An awesome burrito is a meal in and of itself, but Gigi’s includes the most amazing fries with their food! The fries are thick and the perfect balance between crispy and soft! I loved every bite of this meal and cannot wait for them to return to Sahuarita!

I might give this 3.5 if that were an option. Tried it at the Marana Cotton Festival, and they only had 4 food options, so we split the asada fries. There wasn’t much green sauce and it looked watered down compared to the photos I’d seen previously on Unilocal(the color was different — more translucent green, not the light creamy green in the photos here). There also weren’t many tomatoes or really much of any of the toppings beside the carne asada. The meat was a decent portion, but no more than I’d expect for $ 10. Fries could have been more crispy. The flavor of the meat was decent but it was chewy.

As a college student, I have always found myself hesitant to pay $ 10 for a meal from Gigi’s. The food looked delicious but my wallet wouldn’t agree. Today, as I was left with time to waste at Pima Community College West, I finally gave in. I walked right up and immediately was given quick, attentive service. I ordered the carne fries and five minutes later they were already done. She even offered a soda(it comes with the meal!) now the amazing part is the fries themselves. They are thick, with a generous portion of carne asada and chimichurri and this amazing green sauce drizzled over them. Fantastic, and worth every penny. I would gladly hand over $ 10 again :)

Ordered from the truck today. The finely diced carne asada was very chewy but the other ingredients seemed fresh and spices/flavors were good.

I was able to try this food truck because of a roundup my company held. Out of all the trucks there, this place stood out. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted because everything looked great, but I stuck with the Mango Chicken Chipotle Salad. The chicken had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The mango chipotle sauce was also delicious and a little spicy which I enjoyed. This mixed with the salad and the rice was bomb diggity. This place was pretty cheap too compared to what you get with other food trucks. $ 8 for chicken, rice, and salad(plus 2 slices of a cutie orange). They don’t skimp out! I can’t wait to try the other options on their menu!

The Carne asada fries are amazing. I didn’t eat it with the chimichurri sauce but the fries were pretty crispy but after a little bit, they do get a little soggy. My friend had the chicken chipotle fries and she said they were amazing.

Just caught the tail end of the Corona de Tucson food truck roundup tonight and so glad I did! I’ve been here pre-yelping and now get to give this place its dues. Absolutely fab! Great Puruvian fusion. Great small menu with something for everyone to try from amped up French fries to my favorite the el Cubano. Prices range on average from $ 4 – 11, but the portions are worth every bite! I paid $ 8 for my sandwich and it was worth much more. The pork was tender and grilled perfectly. Nice staff always at the food truck round ups. A must try. Faves: el Cubano

I used to go here for lunch sometimes because the food trucks are better options than the cafeteria food at work. However, I truly believe that their food is better than a lot of restaurant’s. I have tried their lamb dish with rice and beans and their chicken rice bowl. The lamb was perfectly cooked and juicy and the rice was covered in the sauce the lamb was cooked in. The chicken rice bowl was very balanced with meat and veggies and was very flavorful. Highly recommend.

One of the best food trucks I’ve had!!! You get a good amount of food and it is soooooo good! I’ve gotten the chipotle chicken bowl and the steak burrito and I can’t decide which was better, both were amazing! I even saved half the chicken bowl and ate it the next day, and it still tasted good. No complaints here.

I absolutely love this food truck. The chimichurri bowl is excellent for $ 7.00. Finely diced steak on top of rice, lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes and chimichurri sauce … It’s excellent. I seek this food truck out almost everytime I’m at a roundup
