Fabrics That Go

Don’t come here for the customer service, come here for the incredible selection of fabrics. You won’t see some of these fabrics anywhere else. When I want something fun and unusual, this is the place to go. The owners are quirky, sometimes friendly, often bizarre. Don’t ask a lot of them, you are lucky if they cut your fabric for you. It’s always an adventure!

The people that work here are super helpful. We are in the process of getting 20+ chairs re-​done for our business and they have been wonderful to work for. We have already picked up some of the chairs and they look better than when we dropped them off. Check this place out!

If you are in the market for any fabric, and I mean any, this is the place to go. From cotton to window covering, to upholstery, they have it all. The staff is amazing. The selection here is rather daunting and they will help you through the maze to find just the right item. I went in looking for a few yards for the door/​window and left with far more. I worked on the phone with a relative in Seattle who is always on the look out for fabulous finds and sent pictures back and forth. It was hard to narrow it down to a reasonable amount of selections. I’ll be back on my next trip to Tucson as will my family members from Seattle. Thanks to my sister in law for telling me about this wonderful store. Plenty of parking, huge selection, great staff, plan on spending a lot of time in here!

This place is amazing! They have the largest selection I have ever seen in a retail environment. It rivals some of the wholesale fabric places my mom used to take me to in San Francisco, for her work as an interior designer. The staff here are also amazing– super friendly and helpful. I could’ve spent all day in there!

Must go kind of place if you are reupholstering. Tons of choices and way less expensive than the shops that have books of choices!
Family owned for more years than anyone can recall

Extremely helpful and proactive staff with a huge selection. Knowledgeable and ready to help with projects like «I need to cover a big wall…» Definitely a family business. Patriarch is going on 90 and is hard at work. They gave us a fantastic deal on a large amount of cloth.

Fabrics that Go is a great local fabric and upholstery store. The staff is friendly, and are happy to help or let you walk around and explore on your own. The upholstery fabric selection is the biggest I have seen in Tucson and varies from solid fabrics in various price points, to your typical gaudy Southwest prints, to classier more modern prints. They also appear to have books of fabrics you can order if you don’t find what you’re looking for. The rolls of fabric are not always priced, but the owner can just look at the fabric and tell you how much it is. The fabric is pretty well organized by type and color, but be prepared to dig through if you’re really set on one color or type. I have not used their upholstery services, but I did get a quote on reupholstering some chairs and ottomans, and their prices were in the same ballpark as other local upholstery shops. I will definitely make this my first stop in the future when I’m looking for upholstery fabrics – and I’m so happy to be able to support a local business.

The fabric selection is amazing and the staff very helpful. However, I must lower my rating from 4 stars because it has taken them four months to reupholster a chair I brought in. There has been a lack of follow up, which is disappointing. I have had to do the calling to check and see what the deal is. Sigh.
My chair arrived on April 1^st! I have upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 because the owners have been able to satisfy me. I would go back to them, it’s important for a business to correct a mistake if it happens and makes the customer happy. :)

this is a great fabrics store… soooo much to choose from especially in the upholstery/​decorating fabrics.
i went in on vacation when i was visiting my family and found the best kitschy cowgirl fabric i have ever seen! it is definitely a go to place for beautiful fabrics but it is also nice to know that the southwestern fabrics they have also have some humor!
the family who runs it has been there since i was a kid so it is a great Tucson business! The special offer i was able to use made the price even better! although not all the staff was aware of it they honored it as a true/​honest business should!
I will definitely be back as soon as I am back in town!

This place has a huge selection of fabrics. The people who worked there were very helpful in finding what I needed, and the prices were reasonable. They bargained the price down so I could make cheap, customized projects for my home.

A must visit for anyone who is doing a decorating project or just likes fabric. Tons of fabric from very high end upholstry to funky fake fur from the 70’s. Good prices and sometimes they’ll bargain. A true one of kind treasure.
