My husband has a major sweet tooth that sometimes only blizzard can satiate. I’m quite the opposite. I love crunchy and salty snacks. But once I a while a mini blizzard hits the spot. I an e no idea how anyone can order anything bigger than the small– it’s enormous! I go for classic flavors like Oreo and sometimes I’ll add in Heath bar for some extra crunch. DQ is obviously your run of the mill ice cream, but the employees Are always friendly and all smiles. I diggers skipping the drive Thru and walking in instead– it’s always a cluster in that parking lot.

Ice cream that’s worth the price of admission! The soft serve is so smooth and creamy. Unlike any other. A hidden gem is the article rush«float»! It’s not on the menu but truly should be. It’s such a great combination!

What’s not to love about DQ cool & refreshing perfect in the summer or winter, love that they experiment with new blizzard flavors, although a good old fashion dilly bar suits me just fine. If you’re not a dairy person there’s still treats for all to enjoy; fresh fruit smoothies, arctic frozen drinks & also yummy orange Julius drinks! Head to your nearest DQ for a wonderful treat

About the only chain restaurant on 4th, yet there are zero complaints about that! Cheap and good ice cream combos to cool off in this miserable heat we refer to as home. The store is clean, very small! No seating inside but that’s kinda normal for DQ. There are a couple tables with shade outside. The staff is friendly enough for high school kids. And they must have a strict no cell phone rule for staff… I didn’t see anyone on their phone which was amazing given the age range if employees!

This downtown DQ location is very small, but it serves all the ice cream treats we know and love. I came in during their Free Cone promotion and it was a hot Tucson day. Free Chocolate or Vanilla cone — who could say«no» to that? There was a 75 cent upcharge for dipped flavors, so I chose a free vanilla cone. Fast service and yummy ice cream — what more can be said?

I like my sundae, even on a Monday. Okay, in all seriousness the chocolate dipped cone(small) is the lowest calorie item on the menu, but it is soo good. Way convenient on 4th ave, especially when it gets too hot walking in this concrete jungle.

It’s Dank Ice cream… What else do you have to know? Blizzards are always awesome, and the cones really hit the spot on a really hot day in Tucson. The staff are high school girls, so I’m not sure how everyone else’s service is but me being a young college lad, I always get excellent service from their staff. I’ve never been when it’s busy, so I imagine mistakes happen when it gets to that point. And not that it’s DQ’s fault, but not the greatest crowd of people like to populate their tables outside, so it’s probably best to take your ice cream to go.

I’m glad we still have a dairy queen downtown especially with the yuppie wave going on. It keeps it feeling like a small town to me. Its dairy queen so i have no illusions what they are about. I enjoy a simple ice cream and hanging on 4th ave. the employees are always very nice.

I had a caramel cheesequake blizzard and it was really good! This Dairy Queen is really small and cute and it’s also on 4th street! It’s the coolest place in downtown Tucson! The staff who served me ice cream was really nice!

My DH loves him some DQ, I think it is ok. I much prefer the slightly creamier and much sweet McDonalds variety. But, why do I come here? For the dilly bars of course. Tis location is always busy when open. Getting in and out of here is a terrible pain because all of the folk walking or driving down 4th Ave, especially in the evenings. The orange creamsicles are awesome, there is nothing like the dreamy orange and cream flavor from DQ.

I sadly love Dairy Queen. I try to make my visits very infrequent, but really I do love a nice Mini sized Blizzard(because then at least you aren’t ingesting 1000 calories). This Dairy Queen is super small, but it’s close to me. The drive through can be a total mess when they’re busy. The worst part is there doesn’t seem to be a way to fix the problem, they are simply on a tiny lot at a relativley busy intersection. They do a great job on their Blizzard cakes. We had them make one for my husband’s graduation party a few years ago and then recently my friend got one for her birthday party there. Both delicous. But here is the mystery of this Dairy Queen to me. How do they manage to only hire young girls? It’s a little strange.

I wish I hated ice cream… but I don’t and when I do not want to spend $ 3/scoop at HUB, I come here for a $.89 kid’s cone. It is the perfect treat when I am stressed or just feel like something sweet. My other favorite, Peanut Buster Parfait, is one of the best damn things on this planet. But, at close to $ 5, I settle for the cone most of the time. Of all of the Tucson locations, this one is my favorite. Mostly because the girls here are just so friendly and nice.

I walk in, and as I am I see the lady at the drive through flash three fingers as she pumps them back and forth. You know, as «I told you three times?» I laughed and placed my order with the chic inside, and I also asked, jokingly, if I needed to tell her three times as well. Little did I know I was going to be the next victim! I ask for two chocolate shakes with oreo cookies, and then basically say that I want a blizzard but just not AS thick. So what I get brought to me was two totally liquefied milk shakes that amounted to chocolate milk, and one regular blizzard. Only asking for two, I just said to myself, «whatever» and paid for them. I get out to my car and realize that she forgot to put oreo cookies in one of them. I have no idea how she got three out of this, and one without oreo cookies, but anyhow… She gave me no top for the regular blizzard which then leaked all over and I had to put a shirt around it to soak it up. All in all, like the prior poster wrote, they are completely incompetent. I don’t care how much I like the blizzard, I won’t be going back. How freaking hard is it to comprehend an order?

I like the dairy queen! cute high school girls working the counter. The drive through is a a little small when the rush comes but if it is long just park and head in. they do excellent floats(they have a lime float that is so good on a hot day) i dont know how it got messed up but this is not a $$$$ place one $(under ten) maybe $$ if you are going all out.

This dairy queen hires horrible incompetent teenagers that are rude and feel that they are entitled to a job even without any customer service skills. I will never return here the food was half ass done and they don: t know how to smile and greet people in a friendly way. I’m tired of poor customer service.

I love you, DQ. I don’t care that your cone dip is made of edible wax, your peanut butter is so oily that it is pumpable, or even that your frozen yogurt tastes like ass. Who goes to Dairy Queen for frozen yogurt, anyway? You are a part of my childhood, like those Frances the Badger books by Lillian Hoban, or the old –school Chuck E. Cheese on 22nd, where everyone smoked and nobody worried about their kids getting kidnapped. Minus one star for having to dodge cars in your poorly-placed drive thru. Otherwise, I hope you stay at 4th&6th until long after I am dead.

This Dairy Queen, at the heart of 4th Avenue, does a booming business. The high school girls that work here spend the bulk of their shift working non-stop serving families, kids, drunks, «hippies», etc. The service I’ve gotten has always been friendly, fast, and helpful(I love that they’ll fix up a special recipe for you without even batting an eyelash). This place makes me little-kid-happy. Not only do I love the chocolaty goodness, but the happiness is infectious and makes this humble little shack feel like a thriving focal point of activity in the evening
