There was such a bad smell by the cooking area that I had to move. Staff sitting around with place filthy. No one cares here. Service was horrible. Felt like I was a burden. I will never come to this location again. Waitress was in a bad mood serving me. I will go to the Avondale location in the future.

Normally this Waffle House is on point with the orders, but I guess this one particular night the night shift were not in a good mood considering when I place my order ahead of time over the phone and they received my number. the black lady with an Afro ponytail and the black ball head cook did not have certain items available such as syrup, pecan waffle and the cook burnt the waffle and the lady kept expecting a tip with an attitude !!

An average Waffle House with surprisingly good service. Have eaten here a few times and have never had a problem. Some of the hotels in the area have sketchy clientele so you will occasionally get to see some of the local color crossing the highway in front of the restaurant looking for«dates». Coffee, tea or me?

I had 2 eggs and a double order of hash browns(smothered, covered and chunked) and a waffle. It was greasy as hell and tasted just like greasy ass diner food that was prepared by some dude that hated my guts. Then my friends dared me to drink 5 coffee creamers… what a terrible idea. I puked in the parking lot. I need better friends. –M

Ok, i also posted a review on Google, and actually i have been meaning to do this for a while especially after what i went through. First off, i want to be amply clear that i have nothing to do with waffle house, i am not an ex employee who is trying to get back at the company or anything like that. That out of the way, this is what happened to the best of my memory. I had been a long-time waffle house customer. Used to eat the same thing, scrambled eggs & cheese, raisin toast & coffee, at another location across town. But i moved to tucker, so i went to this waffle house one time, and everything looked fine. The restaurant was busy, the food was normal waffle house. I came back another time, restaurant was completely empty, and as soon as i open the door, and am about to sit, i notice a German cockroach on the backrest. I am not a roach-phobe but i don’t like roaches in restaurants. I don’t think I’m asking for much here. There was a cook who was cleaning the grill. I step up to the counter and say, excuse me but there is a cockroach on the backrest of my seat. He turns around with an expression of damm he knows! so, i walk a little and peek over the counter to the floor, and notice is is crawling with German roaches. he asks me what i want, and i said, i’ll be right back, and took off! No way in hell i would go to this waffle house, and you’d have to pay me to eat at waffle house again.

I was told that I had to go here for a breakfast at this Southern institution. Four of us came in for breakfast and sat at one of the tiny booths. The overall interior wasn’t terribly big. There were all kinds of signs on the wall related to Waffle House menu items. The odd thing about sitting at this booth was that there was a thin wall that separated the customer from the server, who stood behind it, sort of like at a counter-top diner, sans the counter. The breakfast menu was extensive, with all sorts of goodies that you could add to your potatoes, etc. The waffle with pecans was good. Overall, you cannot go wrong if you are looking for an inexpensive breakfast. Though one word of caution, don’t look at the floor on the staff side of the counter, it isn’t a pretty sight.
