Great atmosphere, delicious coffee & goodies . Quite, good for reading a book & unwinding . A little pricey

After riding by this place on my work to work for the last few years I stopped in and glad I did. The ice coffee is fantastic and I am loving that the two jumbo cubes are made of coffee. I don’t know how much the coffee is because I bought ice coffee, an eggplant & mozzarella pannini and two small sweets and the cost was $ 18+. The pannini is two large pieces so I think it was worth it. Shop is cute and has a variety of food for a coffee house.

Hate to knock a mom-and-pop shop but… This place is having an identity crisis! Between the jewelry, Gumballs, hot dogs and various assortment of pre-packaged goods I can’t tell if I’m at a hair salon, coffee shop or dollar store. Which could maybe work if it was one of those cute intriguing eclectic places with really amazing… Something… but sadly that is not the case at this overpriced flea market bazaar. It’s really unfortunate because the area could really use a quaint stylish coffee shop. Like the ones they have in Brooklyn? The area is screaming for a place like Joe’s, bluebottle, or the like. Sadly this is not be the place…

I’ve been on the hunt for a great local coffee shop. I came across Café 72 after some googling. I ordered a 16 oz café breve which is generally what I like to order to gauge the quality of a coffee place. I asked how many shots of espresso it included and the barista told me one. That’s not all that unusual but I prefer and a bit more coffee. I asked for a second shot and she told me that would be extra. Of course it is, that’s not an issue. When she finished the drink she rang it up and it was almost $ 9. Keeping in mind a café breve is only 3.75 on the price list. I thought it must be a mistake. It wasn’t. She said she had to charge me for an espresso as if I had ordered it separately. That’s just not how it works — not anywhere. I rarely do this, but something inside of me couldn’t pay $ 9 for two shots of espresso and some half and half. I told her I wasn’t paying she said ok so I left. Starbucks is literally a block away. 4 shots of espresso in a tall brevé: $ 6. It might not be as good, but I’ll never know.

The BEST iced coffee. This place has coffee ice cubes also, so your coffee doesn’t get watered down. I also love the atmosphere — it is cozy and inviting and the staff are always so friendly! The only thing — I wish the prices were displayed better, but overall one of my favorite spots!

Charming, not too crowded, great coffee and food, relaxing jazz in the background, free WIFI. In the cozy-coffeeshop desert that is Westchester this is a gem. Some of the staff is very nice, others are kind of standoffish. But overall, a real find.

This place is amazing … great décor, vibe, food and coffee all at reasonable prices. Just go and hang out and play on your computer or read the paper. Excellent way to support small, local business.
