Zanders Spirits Etc

I love Zander’s. I will make a special stop at Zander’s after going to the grocery store to get a fancy soda for the kids and drinks for us. They have a great selection and knowledgable staff. Tina is awesome. She listens to your preferences. Nate knows a ton about breweries and distilleries. Overall great place.

Tina and her staff are awesome. The selection of beers is amazing. The spirits and wines are just as extensive. I’ve also found beers that are selling for less than prices you pay at the breweries that make it! Extra nice to not get gouged in a small town!

What an amazing new store in Truckee. Customer service is great and they have an amazing selection which can’t be found anywhere else in Truckee. They are always giving us new suggestions on products we have never tried. Great alternative to avoiding the large super markets.

Went here looking for some local brews and wines to take back to friends and family. The sales clerk was very knowledgable and helped me pick out beers and wine for my family. Definitely recommend over a generic corner liquor store.

The best craft beer selection in North Lake! Even though I moved from Truckee to Carnelian Bay recently, I still make special trips up to Zanders. The owners are super friendly and I always find some new, exciting brew that I’ve never heard of. Their prices are a little higher than you’ll find at Safeway/​Savemart but I’m happy to pay a little more to not wait in line and find something totally different. Love the mystery 6 packs too! I’ve never bought anything but beer here but they also have an impressive selection of wine, liquor, snacks, cheeses, etc. Please support these guys and keep this awesome shop up and running!

We typically go to Safeway but we’re wanting more variety to choose from so we drove a little further down the road and found this place. Tons of stuff from candy to beer, accessories and wines. It was like a mini BevMo in Truckee :) super friendly people and we will definitely be back.

Stopped by this new shop in Truckee today. Really impressed. The husband bought some ciders. I will be back for hard to find drink ingredients.

Zander ’ s has even more to offer than I expected. They have an awesome wine and craft beer selection. The prices seem pretty good for Truckee. I cannot wait to go in and try out the «buy a beer for a friend» program! Definitely check this place out!

I am 22 years old and from Oregon. I have a valid and acceptable Drivers License and ID card that has been accepted at numerous different California businesses. I went to this place because I would rather support small local business while on my vacation (I do not have the ability to frequent this establishment nor to return anytime soon) before Safeway, but the clerk who I met at the check-​out counter told me that he did was not familiar with how to check an Oregon ID. Because of this, he did not sell to me. He did not say anything to me about the condition of my ID card, which has never been refused at any other business or for any other identity-​checking purpose. This was a saddening experience for me as I was on vacation and had found a very excellent stout here that I wished to enjoy in the comfort of my Grandfather’s cabin. I couldn’t find this particular stout anywhere else in the area, so props to them for that kind of selection. However, Tahoe/​Truckee is basically the adventure Capitol of California and receives loads of out-​of-​state visitors like me. I would have hoped that a place in a tourist town would have accepted my support. I understand the need to be careful, but I also value the ability of a identity-​checking establishment in a tourist town to have employees that expect customers from out-​of-​state.

Really excited to have such a nice liquor store in Truckee finally! Great selection and prices aren’t more than anywhere else. Nice to be able to swing in and grab what you want with out having to do the grocery store thing. Very well stocked and a great atmosphere as well!
