Excellent burritos and quesedillas. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

Nice guys, but the food is only passable. Ordered the chicken breakfast burrito-it was way overstuffed, but the meat was dry and really had no flavor. We also ordered a breakfast burrito with the Carnitas roasted pork. Kinda pricey with resort prices(Yeah, I know-big surprise, NOT) It’s the only game in town for an early savory breakfast in the Northstar Village as Starbucks only serves pastries and breads with their coffees in the AM.

Wow. I can’t believe this place is only rated 3 stars. They have the best breakfast tacos west of Texas. And their banana leaf pork dishes are outstanding. And their habanero sauce is some of the spiciest salsa I’ve ever had at any restaurant anywhere. Which I was shocked to be eating at Northstar.(If you get the habanero sauce, order it on the side. It will light you up.) The bacon in their breakfast tacos and the their tortillas are very high quality. The breakfast tacos come in orders of 2, and it’s about 2 for $ 6.50, and two people can share and be filled up. I’m 6’2 and 200 pounds. The tacos are big. I’m hesitant to rate it 5 stars because I eat breakfast there about 15 times per year and I don’t like lines, but I don’t know what the hell people are thinking giving this place 2 or 3 stars unless they hate flavor in their food.

Expensive, bland, slow, and generally an all around disappointment. Additionally, the beer/cocktails are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper at the Northstar bars instead of this place. PS. I also knew a guy who knew a guy(it’s a reliable source I swear!) who said they let their ingredients stay out way longer than the expiration deadlines. Gross!

I only come here for bkfst. My recommendation: breakfast burrito, with Chorizo meat and ask them to sneak some blue cheese on that stuff!!!

Great choice for something quick to fill your stomach before hitting the slopes. This place serves various Hawaiian fusion items, hence the name«Big Wave». From burritos, burgers, salads, breakfast items, to quick picks like individual sized packages of cereal and oatmeal or cereal bars. All items are decently priced under $ 10. — Breakfast Ham croissant sandwich: sliced ham, melted cheese, and eggs all on top of a grilled croissant. Warm, filling, and it hit the spot before my long day ahead on the runs. Other popular items that looked really good were the taco salad and burritos(They looked huge and filling). There are many bottled drinks to choose from(milk, juices, soda, teas, and even Arnold Palmer in a golf ball topped bottle(iced tea mixed with lemonade)…even the cashier didn’t know what it was when we requested for it). Order, go through the assembly line, and find a place outside to sit to enjoy your meal.

No its not a great place, but after a night of whiskey and beer, the greasy sausage breakfast burrito was a life saver. Settled down my stomach so I could shred the mountain. They also take the Vertical Plus auto charge so I don’t have to carry cash everywhere.

$ 10 can get you breakfast, lunch or dinner? I was sold! Until I walked in. Yes, you can get things for under $ 10. But it probably won’t fill you up. After a long day at the slopes, we were definitely starving and need something to eat before the drive. I ended up with the junior nachos and an apple cider. That apple cider was a lifesaver. Saved me from being frozen over while waiting for the shuttle. And for $ 2, it was the best thing on the menu!

A good place to grab a quick bite for a little extra energy before hitting the slopes. They have a pretty good variety on there menu and even served us out of the breakfeast menu around 12PM. It does get a little busy around the lunch rush hour so try to plan around those times to come here. I had the breakfeast sandwich which comes with a sausage pattie, eggs, and cheese wrapped in a toasted croissant. It was just enough to hit the spot to keep me going but I wasn’t too full from it. However, it was a little pricy for such a small sandwich, setting me back $ 6. But that’s what you’ll expect eating at the resort.

Mediocre food damned by slow service. Go if you must… Located a stone’s throw from Northstar’s gondola, this an easy place to grab lunch or dinner if you happen to be at the resort. Wraps are a necessary option for the Village, and convenience is Big Wave’s greatest strength. (I will probably hit this place once this ski season and will update this review if things get better.)

I went here for the first time and I was thinking it was something like Chipotle. Chipotle is better. I had a pineapple daiquiri and a junior chimi chimi, it was ok. It was a tie me over until dinner. Not impressed but the price and location is good. If I go back I wouldn’t be surprised it we went back, but I would try something else.

I am going to dual task and review Big Wave Burrito and Lindsay Lohan at the same time * Looked okay at first, but sort of sloppy up close * Filled with lots of Junk * Overpriced, but not as bad as anything else around * Perfectly edible, at least when you are really hungry * Probably not capable of driving you home after a day on the slopes

So the food at northstar is overall pretty expensive especially since you just want to get grub without feeling totally ripped off and wasting 2 hours to get food, find a seat, eat and go. This is a pretty good alternative. The burritos can easily be split amongst two ppl, comes with chips and salsa. You can order from one of their burritos, or build your own. They also have build your own taco bowls, and a couple of salads. They also have breakfast food too. I went at 2pm so there was no line and plenty of seating. But their dining area could potentially fit like 20 – 30 people so I guess that would def pose a rush hour problem. But since its at the bottom in the village, most of the people that eat here aren’t lift ticket holders, mostly parents waiting for families and such, so its pretty chill. They have the phattie size and junior size for the burritos, I forgot to say junior so they defaulted to the more expensive and the larger phattie size. Sigh… I wish they asked which size I wanted. It’s so simple. I didn’t want to force myself to finish all of it, but I ate most of it, and that made me feel like a phattie. My burrito came out to almost $ 10. Pretty much like a more expensive chipotle-like burrito joint and you got the idea. They also have this Aztec spicy hot chocolate, def something interesting to try out.

Feeling in the mood for a burrito, we stopped in there. There menu is fairly confusing. The staff did not seem to know how to make the burritos. They had trouble with the ingredients for each burrito and they had NO clue on how to wrap a burrito. The burrito literally fell apart as I soon as I opened it. Tried the Chimi Chimi and the Buddha Burritos. The Chimi Chimi flavor was nothing special. The Buddha had a mix of things and flavors that did not go. In my opinion, they have no idea how to make a burrito — both flavor and structurally.

Sometimes you gotta get out of the door faster than you can deal with in order to catch snow storms. When you’re hungry in the morning that means you can either skip breakfast, eat an energy bar(which you’re going to be doing all day anyways), or hit up the local joint on the hill. Most places at resorts are expensive and underwhelming but BWB is actually not bad quality or price wise. Breakfast burrito of chorizo, potatoes, scrambled eggs, salsa and cheddar cheese is pretty hard to screw up and for $ 6 it’s practically reasonable. It’s also a decent stop for something quick to eat at the end of the day. An extra half star for the«Get your phatties» sticker at the register. Not quite sure what that entails but amusing nonetheless. 3.5 stars
