Let me preface this by saying that I come from a family of doctors and I know when a doctor is using his/​her ego to justify making patients wait an excessive amount of time to either incur as much money as possible (with too little time between patients) or that they are simply on their own schedule and late to start the day. I just had the front office refund my co-​pay because my toddler and I (and many other disgruntled patients including a newborn!) were forced to wait over an hour in the lobby for this dermatology appointment. We were not even sent back into the room yet! People were leaving two hours after their appointment times. This is beyond rude and unacceptable. I had to make my spouse leave work to pickup our other son from preschool because I was still committed to getting in since I wasted time simply getting to the appointment and waiting for so long. We never even made it in. We had to leave. Was I supposed to risk my spouse getting fired for missing a meeting? Ridiculous! RUN from this doctor. He has no clue or interest in pediatrics. If he cared about children, he would not make them lose their minds waiting forever to see him. It is common sense and common courtesy to consider appointment scheduling and your own ego when it comes to treating children. I have never waited this long even at walk-​in hours at our pediatrician’s office. Beyond annoyed. Waste of a day.
