Lion’s Choice

Okay, I think that from the Arby’s all over Des Moines it has me searching for an authentic roast beef place. This was the mecca after traveling 3 hours into our business trip to Dyersburg, TN. Well, I was amazed by the St. Louis Italian Beef Sandwich. Get the spicier version to make it worthwhile. I loved the little bits of carrots, celery, and hot peppers:) Replace the french fries with a side salad and it makes it feel like a real meal… So great, I came back the 2^nd time I passed through but this time for pleasure to visit St. Louis.

This is a Lion’s Choice sharing the building with a Conoco convenience store. Honestly, we’re not sure who bears the most blame, but since I can’t find the Conoco listing here on Unilocal,this will have to do.
We passed through Troy this weekend and stopped for a restroom break and a bite. To our horror, the bathrooms were atrocious, men’s more than women’s. I did think the ladies’ room was rough around the edges, not sparkling clean, dirty-​ish floor, and out of paper towels, but it was usable. My husband took one step into the men’s room and bolted. He said it was the worst toilet he had seen since traveling through Alabama years ago and having to deal with an overflowing toilet (with 1 & 2 on the floor). The floor was filthy and the entire room stunk to high heaven and beyond. He felt contaminated.
Needless to say, we did not buy anything at Lion’s Choice since their employees use the same restroom, although the restaurant itself looked clean enough.
