I can’t see what people are complaining about! My family has been going to Kat’s Patch since 2008 and we love it! Everything we have tried is wonderful and well priced. Get the hamburger«all the way» with chili and cole slaw or try their breakfast burritos. My personal favorite is their BBQ pork. In my opinion, it is the best BBQ pork I have ever had, and I eat a lot of BBQ pork. I will order a pound of BBQ pork and get a couple pints of chili and slaw for take out. The ice cream and shakes are legit also. On special occasions, we stop by and treat the kids to a shake or ice cream. On a side note, it’s not your romantic sit down restaurant. The food is great, the prices are cheap, and the people are friendly.

I would not recommend this place. First off the owner is a but hole calls himself a Christian but I found out he I far from that. Most of the food from here is frozen the eggs are liquid or powder not fresh. He used to burn wood in the grill outside to make people think he cooked his own ribs and BBQ. He has run off a lot of good help from there. I would recommend Randy’s just down the road they cooked all there food fresh.

Would recommend giving this place a try, even if it’s out of the way. We get the pork by the pound for carryout and it is outstanding. It’s also under priced which makes it taste even better! Thanks for sharing your BBQ passion, we’re new customers for life!

We go there every Friday for the awesome car show. Last week there were about 70 beautiful hot rods and muscle cars there. The burgers are good but the ice cream is the main reason to go. Everyone’s friendly and the prices are more than fair ! See you there ! Lister Motorsports

Good basic food and a great banana split Occassional I go here for lunch and it’s very good. Normally I’ll order a burger or a foot long lunch special at the counter and it’s ready in just a couple of minutes to go or to dine in. In addition, I’ll occassionly get a banana split to take back to my shipping mgr as a token of thanks for all of her hard work. Great place to go. It’s a neighborhood type of place and everyone is part of the neighborhood.

The food is good. But, it needs a little TLC. The walls need painting and the floors needs a good scrubbing.

Out in the sticks(well, if you live in the Charlotte area), and directly across from the fairgrounds, you’ll find Kat’s Patch. I must confess that I have no idea what that means. It really sounds like something that is not a restaurant — maybe a secondhand store or a craft place or whatnot. Whatever the case, it’s the local dive, and on the night we were there, they also had a sort of cruise-in outside in the parking lot. It might be that this made them busier, but let’s face it — I hadn’t been there before, and I don’t know if I’ll be there again, so I really don’t know. The booths were full, and the parking lots was as well. The food was decent, and prices weren’t bad either — but it’s definitely not worth a trip all that way just to grab a burger. Lots of desserts, too.

Mom says the Kat’s Patch is the best. She doesn’t see very well, but she knows a yummy burger when she eats it. She wanted Saturday supper from the Kat’s Patch.

Just okay. I got the hamburger steak plate which is honestly just a lazy way of them giving you a patty and buns and letting you make the sandwich yourself. They do give you A1 Steak Sauce packets which is great on the burger and the fries. Otherwise I thought the flavor was pretty bland and boring. They have a ton of options for cold drinks, slushies, ice cream, etc. Other side items included hush puppies, tater tots, onion rings and curly fries. Everything is pretty standard Southern greasy foods. The folks working and dining there are all the Southern, small town type. Overall it’s just a decent place.

We stopped here after looking for a local place on Unilocal. We’re glad we did. I had a very good(and large) hamburger, fries and Cheerwine($ 4.99). Among the other things ordered were a chicken sandwich, homemade potato chips, funny looking(cylinder-shaped) hush puppies and a strawberry milkshake. The chips were fabulous(they went from potatoes to chips in a minute or two), the hush puppies were crisp on the outside and moist in the middle and they used real strawberries in the shake. The Patch is one of those places you might drive right by. It’s in an old shopping center — and sports a huge ugly orange roof. But, don’t let that deter you — the prices were very reasonable & food was better then the average fast food joint. We would go back. Dave
