my girlfriend and i went out of out way to relive childhood memories, but none were to be found. we specifically had nostalgia for how godfathers used to offer finely granular sausage — quite the opposite of the huge(but delicious) meat meteors you get from places like flying pie or pizza nostra. the sausage back in the day was in lots of teeny bits, evenly spread all over the pie & deliciously crunchy. well, you can never go home again. the guy on the register was very friendly and down to earth, but the xmess music was WAY too early and WAY too loud. the salad bar was meticulously maintained so as to look appealing, but the ranch tasted like water. the pizza buffet was okay, but there were many deep crust options and yet only the one thin crust. the mix n’ match soda dispenser was cool, a new experience for me. but overall, we left sad and underwhelmed. oh, and the lobby was a greasy littered mess, made all the worse by our being the only guests for most of the time we were there. too far a drive for us to even consider returning — sorry guys… two stars because at least the food wasn’t gross, but this place has none of the moxie or idiosyncrasy we remembered from back in the day. i could see maybe getting delivery from here, as it was still better than domin-hut

I’ve been going to this God father’s location since I was a kid and have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff always treats me well, and that manager, Brandon, always remembers me and talks sports with me. This review has nothing to do with the food, which excellent as always. This particular night I ordered a carryout pizza. I wanted to catch the Timbers game at home while eating some pizza. I ordered a jumbo pepperoni and eventually made my way to the restaurant up the street. I entered and noticed that it wasn’t particularly busy. I went to the counter and told the employee that I had a carryout. She went to the back and came out saying it should be about 5 minutes. I said«no problem» and took a seat. About a minute later a pizza came out and I thought it could be mine. The employee placed it down, so I kept waiting. About 15 minutes later I stood up to ask about when my order would be ready. She asked what order I was waiting for again, and then went to look at the pizzas. Sure enough, my pizza was the one that had been there for the 15MINUTES!!! The girl simply said«here you go.» I didn’t expect much, but a simple apology would’ve been nice. I expect more of this restaurant. Might be a while before I return again.

I’ve always had wonderful experiences at this Godfathers. Their delivery staff is quick and professional… a relief to a tired Mom with glue in her hair and mismatched bedroom slippers answering the door. Their pizzas are always hot, fresh and a Mardi Gras of the senses.

I don’t come to Godfather’s too often due to price and convenience to where I live, but the pizza is always good. Tonight I received some exceptional customer service I had to share. I made a mistake on our to-go order and the woman helping me when I realized it offered to remake it even though it was my mistake! I felt really bad but she was so nice about it and talked me into letting her. After having a challenging day elsewhere, her kindness was greatly appreciated and refreshing. THANKYOU!

Wound up out here waiting for business to start a little later on a Friday afternoon. I have fond memories of this pizza growing up in the midwest. Went for the buffet as I knew it would be ready immediately. The quality of this pizza was pretty spot-on for chain pizza and the customer service was incredibly friendly and super accommodating. This place is doing it right and kudos to the management.

The pizza from godfathers is pretty darn good for chain pizza. But the service here in my experience is excellent I’ve had the chance to talk with several people to complete my order and everyone of them were professional courteous even though I’m one of those customers that can be a little hard to deal with and I like things very particular. I really enjoy their crossed it’s a good combination between crispy Chewy soft and flavorful. There was enough good toppings– I guess I could’ve gone for a little more cheese. The wings are good but nothing to write home about– I’ll still get them again. Their calzones were really good too! I live kinda far from them but the manager agreed to deliver, so someone got a nice tip!

Not very good. Waste of calories. In my opinion. It tasted like cheap frozen pizza. The salad bar didn’t have much selection. Although the lettuce was fresh. The place is dirty. The service was fast

As always, delicious pizza! Ordered a small combo, cheese bread, salad bar and a mini pizza. All were great! The cheese bread was a little dry. The salad bar was full and clean. Only issues were the lobby and tables were dirty.

I have very fond memories of eating at Godfather’s Pizza as a kid. So when I found that there was one located not only within striking distance but even delivered within my area. I ordered a jump cheese pizza to be delivered. I was told it would be delivered within 20 – 25 minutes. Granted, that seemed awfully quick for pizza that’s at least one step or so above the cardboard that they typically sell at Little Caesar’s. But I trusted that the employee would know their processes better than I would. Well, after waiting for an hour I called because I had another engagement in 20 minutes. The employee asked as though my order never existed. He came back and forth on the line and asked for my address three times. After about 10 minutes he finally told me that the delivery person was on the road right then and should be there any time. He also acted as though I was making up the 20 – 25 minute figure stating that«they always tell people 45 minutes.» Either way, the delivery around well after an hour. At this point my pizza was cold and surprisingly lacking in flavor. The delivery person was friendly. I’ll admit that. But when I saw my receipt the promotional price was not reflected. So, I paid four dollars more than I should have more cold, late, tasteless pizza after being belittled and given very poor service by employees at Godfather’s. This is certainly not the kind of Godfather’s I have fond memories of. Very disappointing.

Just tried Godfather’s Pizza, and it was so good that I’ve ordered it twice in one week. The delivery guy even drew me a sweet unicorn on the box when I asked. All around great food and great service.

So I stopped in here on a Saturday night to grab a pizza. My girlfriend is not a fan of Godfathers, despite having worked at the Safeway right near here once upon a time ago, but I have had Godfather’s a few times in the past and I always enjoyed it. So, with this location so currently convenient, I thought I’d give it a whirl. Well, as it happened on this night, a local little league team was having a pizza banquet there. However, the location(despite being in sort of a «food row» strip mall) was actually quite spacious. They had one whole side of the restaurant reserved for the kids and their families, but a second section, complete with booths and tables, was fully available. Not knowing the difference of styles, I sort of stabbed at the dark with the menu. There was a list of «specials» on the board, bundle deal type things, but I hate making the counter person wait on me, so I just started throwing out a pizza order. When I got to the fact that I wanted a beer, though, she had to go get someone else, as this young lady didn’t have her liquor server license yet. I can’t blame her, nor the restaurant, for that though; in fact, I applaud that they are complying with OLCC requirements. Anyways, when the new guy came out, I had to order all over again. However, at this point I had some time to do some reading, and saw that the«bundle special» on the board of a small with up to four toppings(or a specialty) plus one side for $ 12.99 would probably be cheaper than what I ordered… which was essentially the same thing, just not bundled. So I do kind of fault the first girl for not bringing up that fact when I ordered in the first place. I can pretty much write that off to her probably being pretty new, though. Anyways, the beer was cold and served immediately. Not much to say about Coors Light. I ordered garlic cheese bread as a side. This came out as what appeared to be freshly, thin-sliced french bread, with a heavy dose of garlic and butter, with a smattering of mozzarella cheese. I would have preferred more cheese but it was tasty enough. The pizza came out, hot and delivered to the table. The young man apologized to me, saying they were out of the small size pizzas, so they upgraded me to a medium with no extra charge. Score! A bonus to customer service, too, though I don’t know what else they could have conceivably done… maybe told me I needed to pay the price difference or get a refund for a smaller pizza. I dunno. The pizza was hot, the sauce was good, and there was plenty of cheese. I like their original style crust, which is buttery and has a good balance of chew-to-crunch ratio. All in all, it was a pretty enjoyable experience. The beer was a bit pricy in the pitcher, though, but not really out of line of any other restaurant of this type. I’d go back.

I give three stars cuz the cashier was friendly. But I’d give it 2 ** otherwise. Place was clean… but the Gluten Free pizza was«EH… Not the greatest» you definitely don’t get the taste of the regular godfather pizzas… I think the $ 1 tostino pizzas in the frozen food section have more flavor. :( I was sooo cravin what I used to remember in my glutenous days! Sadly that was just a dream now long forgotten. BUT if you don’t mind it’s stiff, thin, and flavorless… and I got the combo too, they do make the pizzas pre-made in a gluten free facility in Omaha, Nebraska. They come individually wrapped and frozen so all they do is take it outta the package, bake and cut with gluten free knife thingy and label it with a neon green«DONOTCROSSCONTAMINATE!» sticker. And it only comes in Small size… which is plenty since my hunger level dropped with my happiness level. :( *Sigh*…on with the search for yummy gluten free«convenient» food.

Things You Learn to Suck Up in Your Relationship, Problems and Solutions, Part 964: Problem: Football is the persistent in-law that comes to stay at your house for half the year, not counting all the pre-season calls and announcements the in-law makes. Solution: Girl gets her writing time and a solid follow-up to any argument already headed south — «And how often does the NFL Sunday Ticket affect our weekend plans?!?» Problem: He likes Godfather’s Pizza. As in, pouts and moans when you try just about any other pizza place because it’s just not the same. You don’t understand the affinity. Pizza is pizza is pizza. Given the choice, you’d take ramen and BLT’s. Solution: The occasional pilgrimage to Troutdale, where you pass the same mental institution on the main highway where he delivered pizzas years before you met. A gawk at the subdivisions, where he once lived and helped decrease the property values. And the final destination, an otherwise unremarkable strip mall that houses the Taco Pizza, the Humble Pie, and a portly man dressed up like a mobster mugging for shots set out at each table. Really, you can’t detect a different between this location and the one in Clackamas. But the pizza crust strikes the right kind of balance between crunchy and chewy, and the Taco Pizza surprises you with how light it feels in your belly. You both won this round, even if you had to make the trip out to Troutdale to find out.
