Been coming to Trinity Center now for the past 7 years. wanted to try something different for dinner. Prime rib on the menu caught my eye. Comes with the soup & salad bar. Wow! This was a very generous portion of perfect meat. All the entrees ordered at my table looked and tasted fantastic. Desserts were top notch. and what a selection! Hostess, waitress and maybe she was the owner were very friendly and nice. It was my birthday and i wore my tiara. would have given 5 stars if at least 1 person acknowledged it. Happy Birthday to me. Will be back to try the prime rib ribs next summer!

We vacation at the resort every year and love this little bar/grille. The ambience can’t be beat, food is really good, although we mainly spend our time on the patio enjoying drinks. Probably the most relaxing establishment you will find.

I had the prime rib at the restaurant last evening, and it was very tasty. The cooked zuchinni and baked potato were also good. Skip the wine by the glass. The teriyaki chicken sandwich was unmemorable. Fruit pie was delicious. The service was very good. eat outside on the patio and enjoy the river view.

My family and I have been repeat customers of the Bears Breath Bar and Grill for the past 20 years. We have never stayed at the resort surrounding the restaurant and yet we always find our way out there every Thursday night while camping. Considering Thursday night is a pretty busy night for them, we always enjoy sitting on the patio and it is well worth the wait due to their no reservation policy. I have to say the ring game is quite entertaining during your wait. Their burger is the best west of the Mississippi and their wings are the perfect balance between taste and spice. On the other end if the scale their prime rib and sea food are also excellent. One must leave room for their famous blackberry pie and make sure to order it upon arrival because they run out.

My Fiancé is a Chef in NYC and he agrees, this place is the best! He is from Weaverville and when we travel to see his family, we always come for dinner. The kitchen staff is really awesome. Front of the house is really home-y feeling and welcoming. Juanita is the best bartender around ;) Jeanne makes THEBEST home-style ribs(which we both got), and makes her BBQ sauce in house! SOYUMMY! The salad bar is a nice plus and the soup is delicious. Chris had the homemade blackberry pie which was to die for, while I had the cheesecake. It came with a perfect layer of caramel on top. So good. The setting couldn’t get any better. Try to sit outside if you can! The patio is set up really cute, hanging out over some blackberry bushes, right next to running water. It makes for a really relaxing dinner.

Fabulous views! Great service! Our family have been coming to the resort for many years. We love the atmosphere that has been created with the fantastic patio over the water. Sitting outside enjoying a meal — what could be better?! We shared a meal of Salmon and Steak. I must say it was delicious! The dessert was heavenly and sinful! We will definitely return to the restaurant again and again — «for the rest of your life»

If I could give this place zero stars I would. When you pull into Trinity Alps Resort, the grounds are beautiful, giving you anticipation of yummy food that must be at the restaurant. Well driving in is about where the pleasantness ended. It was a Saturday night and the Bears Breath opens at 5:30 pm. We arrived at 5:55 pm. When we got to the doorway there was another couple in front of us.(Note: couple, two people). It took the hostess about 6 minutes to seat them. NOJOKE. This should have been our first clue… She walks this couple out to the patio(I’m assuming since there was NOONE seated inside). It takes her about 4 minutes, meanwhile the bartender who is standing at the bar 5 feet away from us can’t be bothered to acknowledge us. He is slumped over in the corner looking like he has the most miserable job in the world and definitely doesn’t want to be there. He should learn to upsell and maybe his shift would go by faster, because if we were asked we most likely would have ordered drinks. The hostess finally returns to the podium and walks up and starts sorting some papers,(mind you we are standing right in front of her and the sign that says please wait to be seated). It takes her about 45 seconds to acknowledge us and all she says is hello. We say hello and there is that awkward pause. She finally asks, «are you here for dinner?». Well I’m sorry I didn’t realize that there were other options while standing in an entrance in front of a hostess stand and a sign that reads PLEASEWAITTOBESEATED. So we say yes, she offers us indoor seating or out on the patio, we say patio. We are seated and she then tells us she only has one menu and she will have to go look for another one… Picture this a patio that has a single isle of tables on it, probably at most 8 – 10 tables with guests sitting at them then an indoor area that has about 15 – 20 empty tables, yet she doesn’t have two menus to give us. Again this should have been about our third or fourth clue. She brings back our second menu and proceeds to go over the specials for the night. I’m over the hostess and we agree the specials sound good so we hang in there. We are told before she walks away that Gertrude will be our server and can she asked what she could get us to drink so we order drinks. soooo tick tock… ticK TOCK… TICKFRICKINTOCK… 15 minutes later we still haven’t gotten our drinks that we ordered with the hostess who sat us and we still have not seen Gertrude… there are about 4 servers walking around 2 male and 2 female so we have a 50⁄50 guess on who our server is based on name. Anyway 20 minutes in Gertrude walks by(no doesn’t stop) again, walks by and says she will be right with us. I then watch her go inside and start putting glasses on a serving tray. We give her 5 more minutes and she doesn’t come back. So at this point we have decided if the service is this bad than the food can’t possibly be good. We get up to leave, as we are walking out I hear Gertrude say I’m sorry folks and then proceed to tell someone else that we waited too long and we are leaving. As we walk out the door to our parking spot, some women walks out the door after us looks at us get in the car and walks back in. Not sure if she was a manager or what but all I can say is I would NEVER recommend, patronize or even nod as I drive by this place. It doesn’t deserve one dime of my money and will never get it. So I can’t tell you if the food is any good but I sure as heck can tell you that the service there sucks and you are better off patronizing another local restaurant that would probably rather have your business anyway.
