Trexlertown Medical Center

My experience here was horrible when I was there yesterday to see Dr. Lyons. Her nurse was rude and had a snippy attitude and raised her voice with my three year old son. Instead of speaking directly to me.
The next thing that happened that while we were at checkout waiting for our paperwork my son dropped his hat. A elderly lady was coming out the door followed by a nurse pushing a man in a wheel chair. I had told my son to go pick up his hat way before the nurse had even opened the door. Which she almost hit him with and then instead of apologizing she said «I need to have better control d him especially if he’s going to be around people. He needs to learn how to behave.» Not apologizing for almost hitting him. Then when I went to address her saying I didn’t appreciate the way she had addressed my son, she rolled her eyes and went back into the door.
When I asked for both nurses named they refused to give them to me and gave me the run around. (I planned on reporting them to my insurance company).
It took over a month to even get a appointment. I would not recommend going here. This is not a child friendly place. Your doctors office is there to help you, they did not meet my expectations.

My last exam was performed by a substitute physician covering for Dr Taylor. It was so poorly done, that when Dr Taylor returned to service, they rescheduled me for free. I must say that I feel Dr Taylor’s mind seemed to be elsewhere. I wasn’t left feeling that my exam had been thorough and complete. I have a chronic condition that needs to be monitored, but she never even mentioned it. Long and short of it, I’m now looking for a new doctor. I’m a healthy guy, but if I’m going to have the exam, I might as well feel that the job has been done in a complete and thorough manner. I’ve lost confidence.

I am a huge fan of this office and Dr. Peters. The staff is friendly, I am always seen within a few minutes of my appointment and I never feel rushed when I am with the doctor.

Dr. Peters is fantastic. the only reason i gave the center a four star is because they are closed due to weather and i returned a call from one of the nurses to get the answering service who was quite rude and treated me like an idiot.

I love how small this health center is. We go to the pediatrician here and it is fantastic! There is also a branch of my Gyno and I am thinking about switching over because it seems less busy. Parking is nice, the automatic doors are only on the side entrance of the building, but you are steps away from Kohls! Doctor’s visit and shopping, yes please!

I really like Dr. Taylor at Trexlertown medical for a few reasons…
1. The facility is neat, clean and well-​kept, as is the staff.
2. They are ON TIME. I have never been left in the waiting room for a long time. Once, they doctor was running a few minutes behind because of an unexpected something or other, and the nurse actually came back and told me that she was running behind. What a concept! There are so many doctors that will just leave you sitting for who knows how long and then the doctor just walks in like nothing happened… that doesn’t occur here.
3. The staff is so friendly!
4. On site medical lab for bloodwork.
5. Great referral network for specialists.
6. Easy parking.
7. Close to where I live.
8. Scheduling flexibility.
I have been really pleased with Trexlertown Medical, being new in town I am very fortunate to have gotten so lucky on my first attempt at finding a doctor.
