Larry’s Buffet

We were just in there, it’s my third time eating here. The food is delicious & plenty to choose from. Everyone in there is awesome & feels just like family.

I heard about Larry’s online and thought it would be a good place to try on a little weekend road trip. I left Chattanooga on a motorcycle ride at about 9, and pulled into Larry’s right when they opened at noon. Staff was great, paid my $ 14 and change for my meal, and then helped myself.
Wow.
You just can’t find this quality of southern cooking in a buffet style anywhere else. I tried everything I wanted, and… and. it was just so good. I haven’t stopped thinking about it and it was 48 hours ago. I didn’t eat anything else for 24 hours, I stuffed myself so much.
Favorites were the well stocked and fresh salad bar, all the chicken, mac n cheese, fried okra, fried boneless pork chops, the peach cobbler, rice pudding, greens, and the biscuits.
I gotta get back there as soon as I can.

Best buffet ever!!! I read the reviews and didn’t believe that any buffet could be as good as the reviews that was posted. Boy was I wrong. This place was even better than the reviews!

This is a buffet and I’m not a huge fan of buffets but I had heard great things so I had to try it out. Only opened Thursday through Sunday lunch and dinner, menu changes everyday with several usual dishes. Salad bar was all fresh for starters and a good selection. All the vegetables that I tried were good, I believe the fried okra was fresh and from scratch. Fried green tomatoes were some of the best. All meats I tried were good with exceptional catfish. I was a little disappointed with the hush puppies, not at all sweet like I like. They have rolls, cornbread & biscuits which I didn’t try all. Several desserts (tried most) and the ice cream taste like homemade.
Service was great and friendly… owner was very accommodating!
Definitely worth a trip here and if you are traveling through a must!

I really debated with myself whether to give 4 or 5 stars, but decided «it’s a buffet, if you don’t like one thing, go get something else» and therefore, 5 stars.
First, the price. $ 12 flat for lunch and a drink, tax included is a pretty good deal for good food, and they have good food.
I liked most everything they had, and they had enough for me to easily go back for a second plate of different selections to try.

Let’s face it… If you live in or near the Trenton, GA area, you’re options for dining out are very limited at best. If you’re looking for a place to see friendly faces and bulk up on starchy food then you have found your spot! Most everything is breaded and deep fried, nothing wrong with that, just needs some flavor to it for me. I enjoy eating smaller amounts of good tasting food over large amounts of eh… just ok tasting food. They do have a good variety. They have the staples of southern food. Taters, beans, veggies & of course the fried stuff are all well covered. Unfortunately, I can’t think of a favorite anything, and felt as though I sort of cheated myself for paying too much for only 1 trip to the buffet. The place is very clean so that has to count for something.

If you like the home made /​old country foods, this is the place. The foods are fresh and tasty. Inside the restaurant are super clean a+.

Probably the best buffet we’ve ever eaten! Everything was fresh and homemade. Ribs were delicious and boiled shrimp. My son said their mac-​n-​cheese was the best he has ever had! They’ve been in business since 1979! If in Trenton or visiting Cloudland Canyon don’t miss this gem.

This restaurant is one of the best country food buffet’s we’ve ever had and we’re from the south. Fried Green Tomatoes and Macaroni and Cheese were on the top of my list. Best Meatloaf, Fried Chicken, fresh veges and Homemade Dessert. We can’t move we’re so full.
Wonderful !! Don’t miss it if your in the Trenton neighborhood.

Didn’t realize it was a buffet from Unilocal reviews, but is was really good. Good variety, along with very good veggies. Deserts were great too!

Great comfort food. Real homemade fried okra is to die for. This is an all you can eat buffet and you will not leave hungry. Lots of meats and fresh veggies. Fresh baked bread is awesome.

Great food, variety, fresh and flavorful. We were so hungry after hiking all day. With two kids and four adults we were seated right away and oddly you pay before you are seated. There were only four other parties on a Sunday afternoon. It was clean and comfortable as well as reasonably priced. I would recommend going with an appetite. I enjoyed the mashed sweet potato, carrots, baked ham, pulled pork and peach cobbler.

Nice staff, great food! Everything here is home made! Good thing we are not considering local customers in our rating though… Rude snooty arrogant people. only people who were friendly were out of town travelers like us.
