Recently had a very bad experience with this shop. I had used them twice before with good results but I will never return. I had my bike towed to the shop because it would not start… battery was shot. I called them before the tow and was told that they were a little backed up. For me, that would mean at most one to two weeks at the shop. I get my free tow via AMA and called the shop. I was then told that a new battery and oil change would be a couple of weeks. Now the summer season in NJ is a couple of weeks. Told the person on the phone that they really should have been honest with me as to how long my repair would take. He offered no apology. I had to now pay to have my bike towed to another shop and my bike was done in 6 days. Not sure why Unilocal does not allow zero stars cause that is what this shop deserves.

I can only speak to the quality of the service department since I didn’t purchase my bike here, however I found myself VERY happy with my experience.
Being fairly ignorant about motorcycle maintenance and having read so many horror about people being gauged by shops, I was certainly hesitant and worried when I first brought my bike in.
However, the second I started speaking with the guys at the service desk all my worries were removed. They asked some very smart questions and fixed some wrong assumptions I had about what needed to be done (saving me money). During the service, they called and got my permission for any replacements that needed to be made so I wouldn’t be surprised by any charges.
After the servicing, I was still afraid that an intermittent problem my bike had might still pop up, so they went as far as spending another week taking it out for test rides and making sure the carb was running well. Being what I consider an annoying customer, they very pleasantly spent all that extra time making sure my bike was running well and didn’t even charge me for the second look over and testing it over the course of a week. I gave them a little tip for their work and sure enough, I get a hand-​written thank you note in return.
How many businesses do you know have ever sent you a hand-​written thank you note after a small tip? I found their prices to be similar to anywhere else, but had they been a bit cheaper I would have felt ok giving the 5^th star.
