I loved this place for Sunday Brunch and now found out it’s closed. We’re really sad. It was a beautiful drive up from Ashland, eating while watching the mighty Rogue River. Please reconsider!

We were fortunate enough to have Rogue River Lodge cater our wedding this past Labor Day weekend. 2 months later and we still have guests raving about how great the event and food was! Anne took every detail into account — elegant food, attentive staff, and and ensured the event ran extremely smooth. They have vast knowledge and expertise for not only excellent cuisine, but how to run events. We were lucky to be able to work with them!

My husband and I were married at the Rogue River Lodge on August 22nd2015. From the moment we looked at the venue we knew it was the perfect place to have our dream wedding. Lee and Anne went over and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly. Our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the venue was and how much they loved the food, especially the Spinach Au Gratin! My husband and I really appreciated how much work the staff put in to making the process leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding so easy! Part of the wedding package was we got a free night in the cabin which sits on the grounds, it was so nice to just walk over to the cabin after everyone had left for the night. The next morning we were invited up to the lodge for brunch. We both agree that the brunch was excellent! We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue or just a nice dinner out!

This quaint cabin on the banks of the Rogue River was by far our accommodation highlight during a two-week Pacific NW trip — which included other excellent stays. You really have the river to yourself, as there is no adjacent structure on the north bank and nothing as far as the eye can see on the south bank. The restaurant staff and owners were friendly and accessible. Our waitress served us dinner on our private porch and the owner, Lee, came by when I had a question about an appliance. I can’t imagine a better base for day trips to Crater Lake(~ 1 hour drive) or when passing through southern Oregon on the way to California.

We love this place. They have great food, nice atmosphere, great service and a good beer selection. They have resonable prices, except when it comes to their«young at heart» menu, their answer to a kids menu, over priced and small portion. Still one of our face local places.

Everyone in my group seemed to really love their food, especially the lasagna and Alfredo. I got the $ 5 marinara over noodles… Which was a very fair portion for $ 5, I loved the price, and it was surprisingly exceptional for being such a ‘plain’ dish. As a vegan I basically could only get the fried green beans and marinara small plate… Unless i wanted a salad minus meat and cheese(but would still end up paying full price… Pass). The green beans were good! If you get the green beans — share! The portion was large for an appetizer. Outside was lovely; you can clearly see the river and rafters would float by and wave. Inside looked more like a nicer, but typical bar ambiance/look — from what I could tell when I went inside to use the restroom. They gave us biscuits and butter which we didn’t expect. We had to ask multiple times for lemon wedges, and they forgot to put 2 items on the ticket so we got part of our table late. Everyone was almost finished by the time the 2 remaining dishes arrived(although I could tell they did TRY to get it to us quickly). They should have probably given us the late plates free if you ask me.

Excellent setting on the Rogue River under shade. Good menu choices and reasonably priced. We shared a salad, fish & chips and a bread pudding with coffee. All very good. Friendly, attentive service. We’ll be back!

The service here is really good all the waiters that we’ve had were very friendly. I’ve eaten here twice already, on consecutive nights. I’ve eaten inside the dining room area upstairs which was all right, I prefer eating outside by the river which is beautiful, and lit up by lights. My kids and I enjoy the fish and chips, ordered it on both nights. I also tried the clam chowder, and the house salad with a wonderful house dressing, and also we had the chicken fried steak. I guess what we ate was pretty heavy all around, but the food tasted pretty good. We especially like the fish and chips.

Really like this place! It’s right on the rouge river and they have a beautiful patio right next to the river. It’s a short drive from Shady Cove. The food is good and they have lots of options. They have great garlic bread and yummy entrees. We had the shrimp scampi yum! The salmon paperdelle noodles also good. Portions are generous and prices are moderate. The service was decent, a bit discombobulated and a little slow, but not too bad. We are also went for the mothers day brunch buffet. Lovely spread with beautiful views of the river. The buffet was $ 26.00 a person some of of the hot food was cold, but good. We were there for the last seating. Again service was disscombulated and slow, but everyone was pleasant.

Exquisite food and amenities! With everything from burgers and pub fare to finer dining choices and settings. Rogue River Lodge is worth the drive for a great meal with an incredible view of the Rogue River. We stayed the night in Cabin 2 and had a nice fireside dinner and enjoyed breakfast in the sitting room overlooking the river. It’s not uncommon to have drift boats and rafters float by on a summer day or see wildlife on the banks of the river. We strongly suggested starting dinner with some fried green beans!

Had a 50th anniversary here for my parents on the outdoor patio area along the river. What a beautiful location with exceptional service. The food was excellent and the event planning top notch. We were so happy that we are now going to have our own wedding here next year!!! Cant think of a better venue for an event such as this

We had the pleasure of staying in the cabin on the river and enjoying two delicious dinners at Rogue River Lodge. Every aspect of our experience was extraordinary! The cabin was clean, charming and comfortable. The food and hospitality was unmatched. Lee and Anne were friendly and accommodating hosts. Try the Lodge Lemonade and the bread pudding for real treats. We will absolutely be back!

Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambiance: 3 for inside; 4 for outside We arrived somewhat late and our server, Jessica was rather overwhelmed with three table wanting to pay and then us. Once the excitement died down, we found her to be extremely friendly and helpful.

We just celebrated my parents 50th Anniversary at the Lodge last night. We made a reservation and the tables were ready for 14 of us. The service was excellent and the owner who I arranged to have a cake delivered was so nice and really made the whole event special. The food was excellent and we all ordered a wide variety of dishes from shrimp linguine, steak and French dips. We had six children with us and they were entertained by the Rogue River and it’s rafters, plus the pool table inside. The staff did an awesome job with the surprise cake we presented to my parents and help serving and wrapping it up! A great experience and I would recommend for a party our size or just a nice dinner for two.

I have had two recent opportunities to eat the Rogue River Lodge recently and have enjoyed it tremendously. I had the Mediterranean Chicken this last visit and would recommend it highly. Everyones meal in our party received high praise. The seating at the rivers edge is amazing. What a great spot. We are already planning our next visit with friends, following an afternoon of wine tasting at the local vineyards.

The owner, Lee, knows how to treat a guest. He takes hospitality to a level that few in the industry understand. Everyone was wonderful and the food was scrumptious! I highly recommend the restaurant for dinner or the wonderful cabin for a quiet get away. Rogue River Lodge is a diamond hidden in Shady Cove. We will be back!

My husband and I just got back from our anniversary weekend at The Rogue River Lodge. What a special place! We stayed in their quaint cabin over looking the river. Very Romantic. They have a beautiful property with a outdoor restaurant that is also on the river. We also enjoyed the main property with fine dinning upstairs and casual dinning downstairs. The food, staff and ambiance made for a very unique experience. Can’t wait to go back! Heather and Doug Armstrong

Man this is so close to a two star review, you DON’T EVENKNOW! The saving grace was that we were refunded for our 50% of problem dishes, so it makes me want to give it a second chance. First off, please note that there’s an upstairs and a downstairs dining experience. We didn’t realize this and ended up upstairs when we probably would’ve been happier downstairs.(Not a Downtown Abbey review). Upstairs is fancy smansch but just not good enough to be worth the dough. The lamb was tough, and my girlfriend got a gluten free version of the lobster ravioli(which admittedly is a low percentage choice). We both got cups of soup, the broc-cheddar was better than the clam chowder. The dinner rolls were the BEST thing about this place, and they did rock. They also brought out a complementary app, which was a tasty bruschetta. Ann our server was super nice, and again she came through where it matter most by offering us the refund base upon our experience.

This place is a real gem. My bf found it and suggested we try it for brunch, so we took my father when he was visiting. This place has an indoor dining room, an outdoor deck, and then another patio directly on the Rogue River. I’m talking 10 feet from the banks. We had a stunning table right next to the river. You could not ask for a better spot. If try this place, ask for a table on the river and you will not be disappointed. The waitresses were all very friendly. I felt badly for them as they had a long walk from the main restaurant building to the patio by the river, but they were cheerful the whole time. The wait wasn’t bad though because my kids were playing on the river banks and we were taking beautiful pictures the whole time since we were surrounded by such exquisite nature. The kitchen was slow; it took a long time for the food to arrive, but when it did, it was piping hot and outstanding. We had Eggs Benedict and bacon. The dishes came with potatoes. At first, it looked like small portions, but at the end, we all agreed they serve the perfect portion size– not too much to make you feel overstuffed, not too small to leave you hungry. Prices are not bad at all– for 5 people eating brunch, I paid $ 72. I expected to pay a lot more and was pleasantly surprised. Besides the kitchen being slow, the only other quibble is that the OJ is not fresh-squeezed. Tasted kind of rancid. Other than that, this place is AWESOME and i cannot wait to return.
