This is now«Andy’s Café» but they’re still largely the same crepery with customizable crepes, good personal service and a slightly rebranded look/feel. No change to the review/ratings, we’ll continue to frequent it when the Nutella/banana cravings get out of hand :)

My wife and I stumbled across the World of Crepes while searching for a new local place to have dinner at on Unilocal. The restaurant is located right near tons of other local places, but it’s tucked up a side street in front of the Towson Public Library. The restaurant is in the middle of a transition to being a café rather than a crêpe shop so there are some in-progress changes in the dining area. Hopefully once everything is done this will be a great change. Anyway… this is about the food, not the future :) We ordered two savory and two dessert crepes. I had the jerk chicken crêpe and my wife had the Italian. These are not your traditional crepes, which we didn’t realize. These are crepes without the cheese and sauces. The jerk chicken was spicy, as it should be, and the crêpe was crisp and fresh. The italian was well stuffed, but the inside was a bit on the cold side. I’m not sure if that was intentional, but it was unexpected. Essentially, I think we would probably pass on the savory crepes in the future. Now, the dessert crepes… Awesome. We had the banana split and the reese’s peanut butter. Both were really good. The banana split had a whole banana wrapped in the crêpe and was served with vanilla ice cream. The resse’s crêpe was our favorite. It had loads of peanut butter and I think nutella. We’d most likely come back in for dessert in the future, but probably after dinner somewhere else. We’ll give you guys another shot after the name change and new menu hits.

The crepes here are a far cry from the authentic crepes I’ve had from the street vendors in Paris. But hey, for a Towson crêpe fix, I guess it could be worse. I think they do the sweet crepes better than the savory ones. I had a chicken parmesan crêpe with overcooked nuggets of charred chicken and sauce that tasted like it came from a metal can. The fruity dessert crêpe I had was better, but by the time I got it home, it was kinda soggy. The crepes are a bit thick, too. A couple millimeters shy of a pancake, really. But till I get back to Paris(someday), these will just have to do. UPDATE: Went here last night and I think they changed cooks or something. The crepes this time were thin as they should be(though still a bit chewy), and the fillings in my bacon and cheddar crêpe were perfectly cooked and seasoned with sour cream. For dessert, I had my own combo of nutella, marshmallow, reese’s peanut butter and caramel sauce — really delish!

This is a great little place near the mall. I have been looking for a place that does breakfast crepes for a long time and was pleased to find a create-your-own option on the menu. Prices match the quality and they just had a great groupon offer. We both got savory crepes, but I’m excited to try one of the sweet ones next time around.

The people that work here are very nice, but these are the worst crepes I’ve ever had. I didn’t think you could mess up something so simple, but these crepes were tough as shoe leather. We got four different ones, two savoury and two sweet, but they were all too chewy to eat.

I requested a crêpe with sugar and lemon. It was not on the menu but they humored me anyway. It was really good and I would recommend this place. They also have savory deep fried crepes. I am intrigued and want to try one soon.

World of Crepes just opened this past Monday right accross the street from the Towson Library, and since I work in the neighborhood I figured I’d try it out. I got a Banana and Nutella crêpe and it was awesome! The owners are super nice and have a menu that includes pretty much any kind of crêpe imaginable. If you’re looking for a great crêpe or just to try something new I’d highly suggest visiting world of crepes!
