Great place to eat. Friendly staff. Food is reasonably priced. Chicken tacos are packed with chicken.

The service at this place is fast. I ordered my quarter chicken meal and they had it out to me in less than two minutes. I got the breast and wing quarter. Usually, I am wary of breast meat at pollo places, because they can verge on the dry side… but the breast meat was delicious, moist and melt in your mouth tender. I can see why this place got 4.5 stars… I give it a 5.

3.5-star. I wanted to try Pollo Amigo for a while, and I finally got to try it today for dinner. Well, I had the ½ chicken with yucca and salad for takeout. Pollo Amigo is only like a 10 min drive from my house, but when I was coming home, the chicken smelled so good that it was almost a torture. The chicken had a good taste, and it was tender, but I don’t think it was the best chicken I’ve ever had. The yucca was okay but bland. Overall, for 9.50, I can’t complain for the portion, but as far as taste goes, it was average. Next time, I got to try their Jason Burrito since everyone is raving about it.

Was actually pretty disappointed. It’s decent but it’s not better than a couple other places in the area. Doesn’t fine with a drink and prices are higher than the other places too. Portions are small and pathetic and service is awkward especially since they know very little English. Not a fan of their food or prices for what you get.

Very tasty Peruvian food in an unlikely spot. They also offer Mexican style options but make no mistake the pollo saltado is amazing. Friendly, family owned business that offers catering, carry out or dine in. Note, if you’re craving ceviche they’ve got uou, but call an hr in advance to get it fresh!!!

This is the best resturaunt in Towson, hands down. The food is reasonably priced and really good(like everyone else, I recommend the Pollo Saltado, and their yucca is perfectly cooked) and everyone there is friendly, I’ve never had an unpleasant experience.

Wonderful, inexpensive food, served with an Andes-high dose of friendliness. Great chicken and the best fried plantain around.

This place is like a family restaurant. The place is small with only 3 tables. However, staff there is friendly and treats you like family. The food comes out fast and it’s cheap good food. They have a parking lot so that’s always a plus!

I was shocked to find a peruvian place in the middle of Towson. This is probably the only Peruvian restaurant in the area, they also have a large selection of mexican dishes. My girlfriend and I ordered the Chicken saltado and roast chicken with plaintains and beans. The roast chicken is flavored to perfection, the seasoning on the chicken is on point. The plantains were soft and sweet on the inside with a caramelized crunch on the outside. The beans were creamy and salty goodness over rice. The chicken saltado is sauteed chicken breast with peppers, onions and french fries over rice. Carbs over carbs, mmmm. There is plenty of seating and the pricing is just right. The restaurant isn’t fancy or some place to take a first date but it does a very authentic feel and they have TVs playing soccer all day.

Pollo Amigo is pretty much the only Peruvian worth getting in the Towson area. The chicken is crisp and juicy. The plantains are always the right blend of crispy and soft and the rice and beans are pork free and delicious. Everything is freshly prepared and perfect. The store as pretty decent seating. Every time I come there is usually several other customers but it’s not overcrowded like some Peruvian chicken restaurants. The authentic décor and South American soccer gives very authentic touches to this tucked away gem. Foodies in the know drop by regularly.

Can I just say thank you for blessing us with your delicious chicken? Don’t let the outside appearance fool you guys; this place is fantastic. Make sure to ask for extra sauce on the side for the chicken platter, the flavors work so well together. You’re never going to want to buy a grocery store rotisserie chicken ever again. I promise.

This place was pretty solid, but not a must-have. I came here on a Sunday for lunch, and had to order the chicken. The chicken was good, but lukewarm. I think they have them pre-cut and just sitting. The chicken came with two sides of your choice, and the beans and fries I ordered was nothing out of the ordinary. I also tried the carnitas tacos, and liked them a bit more. Overall a solid meal, but probably won’t be craving this any time soon.

I was pleasantly surprised by Pollo Amigo! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, with only 4 – 5 tables(most folks order to go) and on the end of a very tiny shopping center. We would have most likely passed by with not a second glance if it hadn’t been for Unilocal’s glowing reviews. I ordered the lomo saltado. I have been on the hunt for a good saltado ever since I had Mario’s in SoCal. Let’s just say the hunt hasn’t been too successful so I wasn’t very optimistic about Pollo Amigo’s saltado, but I was willing to give it a shot. Fast forward 10 minutes later when a huge plate was placed before me. The steak was cooked perfectly. It’s sautéed in olive oil so you get tender, glistening pieces. It’s paired with onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and fresh herbs, and served with a generous, generous side of rice and beans. I have to say, so far this has been the best saltado I’ve had in the DC/Baltimore area. My companions also enjoyed their orders of the Jason burrito and half an order of chicken. Seems that Pollo Amigo does both Mexican and Peruvian justice. They also don’t skimp on quantity or quality. Everything was well-executed, not too expensive, and quantity-wise very filling. If you’re in Towson and in need for some grub, stop by Pollo Amigo!

This place is so fantastic! Three of us shared a whole rotisserie chicken which came with two sides, and we bought two additional sides on top of that and the portion size was perfect! The chicken is so flavorful and you can tell it is slow roasted and made with love. The beans and rice were delicious and perfectly seasoned, the salad with dressing was delicious, and the French fries were crispy perfection. The customer service was phenomenal, too! Great place with great people and outstanding prices!!!

The food was good at pollo amigo. I ordered the salmon, chicken quesadilla, chicken tacos, and a side order of plantains to go. I ordered the salmon for myself and I was satisfied. The salmon dish came with an 8 oz fillet topped with fresh pico de gallo salsa. A side of white rice topped with black beans and a side salad. The entire entrée was so good to me and tasted fresh. I would recommend it and also get it again. My boyfriend had the quesadilla and tacos. I tried both and I wouldn’t recommend these dishes as much as the salmon. Both dishes were still good but the tacos were falling a part(probably due to the fact that the tacos weren’t eaten at the restaurant) and the quesadillas were pretty standard. The plantains were also great. Not greasy and very delicious.

I’ve been here twice and had different experiences with each. Both times, I ate in, and got a plate and silverware to go with my quarter chicken of dark meat and a soda. The sides are good — I’ve had yucca, plantains, and rice and beans. The chicken the first time was moist and succulent, but the second time it was a little dried out. In the second instance, the place was less busy, and I think they were working through product they had already prepared. So I’d say if you come, you want to do so when it’s really popping inside, and if you don’t see a line then maybe reevaluate.

I have been here twice, and both times I got the Pollo Saltado… it is THAT good. I am a sucker for rice and beans and even more of a sucker for french fries. This dish is chicken, peppers, onions, tomatoes AND french fries all sautéed together with rice and beans on the side. It is so simple and very good to satisfy the peruvian chicken craving. The fries are so random but it is what I love about it. The plantains I wasn’t a huge fan of, I am used to them when they have a glaze of some sort on them, these are just plain roasted. You get a TON with a side order, but unfortunately I just didn’t like them. First time I ordered to go, second time I ate there. They don’t have many tables, all miss matched and even some random tables outside in random places where they could fit. It is definitely a dive and quite cluttered, but the food is good and the people that work there really care about the customer.

I loved Mexican food. I ordered the ceviche and Inca cola. It’s nice. First time to taste it but it’s spicy for me so I needed to drink a lot.
