Returned and had the great service and food that we had always come to expect from cunninghams.

Went for breakfast this morning. Coffee was of excellent quality and the location and service was excellent. The breakfast burrito was good, wish they would have lightly browned the tortilla but, aside from that solid flavor and amount of food. The BLT was delicious though the bacon could use a little more flavor.

This place gets four and a half stars. I dock them half a star for the espresso drinks. Quality and consistency varies with the barista which only makes for suspense. On the whole, the food is supremely good. I think I had a bad experience on my first two visits(a molasses cookie and their breakfast burrito), but follow-ups have obliterated first impressions. Theirs is probably one of the best mac n’cheeses(made with gruyère), their powerhouse fiendishly good, soups always excellent, lamb chili a revelation and the best croissant I think I’ve ever had. Better than Bouchon, maybe, which is blasphemy. Don’t get the grilled tuna wrap though. Someone thought marrying kimchee with guac was a good idea. It’s not. I ate it, but I shudder at the memory. Someone brilliant came up with the idea of a lavender latte. This concoction is better than the Starfleet Captain(sorry, Johhny’s). The first time, I had it, I lost track of myself, the universe, as nothing but what was in my mug consumed me. The next time I ordered it, it was achingly sweet and the syrup overwhelmed the subtle lavender. So, barista training could use improvement, but service is always solid. Sometimes, first-rate. I love coming here. Though slightly pricey, value is five stars when the food is so good. And they seem to have the nicest, most lovely person managing the register whenever I go.

I read a few negative reviews and I am not sure what the issue with this place could possibly be. The food was great and so was the service.

Perfect place to grab a(refillable) mug of coffee and work. They brew Ceremony Coffee out of Annapolis, which is some of the best coffee I’ve ever had – certainly blows any chain’s coffee out of the water. The staff is super friendly and the food is great as well. Try their bread on a sandwich and then take a loaf home to have with dinner… You won’t be disappointed!

Came here for breakfast last Saturday, and everything was so delicious. I got the cinnamon toast latte and the sausage breakfast sandwich. The latte was amazing and the breakfast sandwich was too. The breakfast sandwich comes on a cheddar biscuit that takes it to a whole new level.

Overall pretty fast service. I liked the breakfast burrito, but my boyfriend didn’t. My boyfriend thought there wasn’t enough meat, as he lived in Albuquerque for many years cited this as his reason for not liking it. Potatoes had good flavor. Like the guacamole. 27.50 for two burritos and two drinks. A little overpriced.

Went in for a coffee and some small items for breakfast, came out ordering a full on breakfast sandwich. Regardless, it was pretty tasty. While in most places, the meat is the centerpiece, at least for the sausage/egg/cheese on cheddar biscuit, the bread was the star. Not only did it make the sandwich good, it was filling and tasty. The other elements, the egg/sausage were just ok. For a café/bakery, I’ll admit, the atmosphere was nice. It was semi-busy, seating was plentiful, and as an added bonus, there’s free parking across the street(up to an hour!). I can imagine if it was busier though, that seating would be an issue. There’s only a limited number of actual table seats, and the other seating is bar style around the walls. All in all, good place. I’ll be coming back to try some of their lunch items(ie. salads, sandwiches).

Cunningham’s Café is probably one of the only non-major chain coffee shop/cafes in Towson and it is definitely making sure the locals get the full experience. The whole atmosphere is a little rustic, a little, chic, a whole lot of flavor and style. It’s a great place to get work done and also doubles as a quiet place to meet and catchup with friends and colleagues. The staff is always very polite and kind even when it’s closing. I’ve only ever felt welcomed at Cunningham’s. You can tell that good service is a priority. I love coffee and I love tea, and Cunningham’s fully delivers on all counts. The classic drinks, like lattes and tea are all top notch, but where they really shine are the artisan drinks. I’m pretty sure I was addicted to London Fog Lattes for about three months last year. Their Cinnamon Toast Latte and seasonal drinks are all an experience that would probably have you neglecting your Starbucks gold card for some time. The food is also delicious. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I’ve eaten at Cunningham’s and I eat a lot. From soup to salad to breakfast Cunningham’s is satisfying and delicious. There is always something for every mood. As to parking, Cunningham’s has a dedicated parking lot across the street from the café. During peak hours parking can get tough but there is a lot of free parking at the mall about a block away.

I created my own salad with chicken spinach cucumbers cheese and carrots… it was sooooo good. Call ahead as it takes a while to order fresh, but it is sooo worth it!

Coffee= bomb. Curry carrot soup= bomb. I had to ask for the recipe it was so good. Go early, as it is a quaint, fantastic experience to be in here with no one else. Love love love this place.

Went for another visit, this time for lunch with m’lady. We just beat the lunch crowd, and by the time we left the place was filling up. Overall things were better than my solo visit for breakfast, but it was still just a so-so dining experience. Between the two of use we ordered the tomato bisque, the hot Italian sandwich, cucumber salad, and the mac and cheese. I enjoyed the sammich overall, though I thought it could really benefit from some onions and hot peppers. The pepperoncini vinaigrette just didn’t provide sufficient kick for my palate. Its meats were quite good, but the ciabatta — strangely enough — was prettily heavily charred on one end. I also quite dug the mac and cheese, which was more white and parmesan-dominant than most m&c you find out and about. My gal didn’t appreciate it so much, so I had most while she chowed down on the majority of the cucumber salad. I found that to be kind of odd tasting… sesame oil maybe? I had one taste of the bisque and thought it tasted like pizza or pasta sauce, and my partner characterized it as reminiscent of «good pizza sauce.» Service was fine, and the food came out promptly.

I want to like this place. The café, like the restaurant is really well designed and inviting. We stopped in for brunch in hopes of something slightly different than regular breakfast fare. There is a selection of pastries and other lunch items. At 1030 am they had sold out of the frittata. wtf. Anyways, I went with the chicken salad sandwich and my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Neither come with sides, but the bread was fantastic. I found the chicken salad bland and not enough filling bundled with an off color tomato. the pulled pork was good, nice flavor with just enough slaw. The coffee was watered down. I’m pretty sure my Nespresso makes better coffee. Anyways, I’m unlikely to return. It’s too bad because they have such potential.

Love this place. Salads are great, BLT to die for, and tuna melt is yummy. Food is always fresh and healthy. Worth every penny. Should mention that the service is prompt and friendly.

I heart this place, and am so happy to have just moved closer :) I can’t speak for the upstairs restaurant, but we love this café. The cold brew coffee is divine; I believe they use Ceremony roasters in MD. I love their desserts… I just had the gingerbread muffin yesterday-stellar! I also love their pesto chicken sandwich and their salads. I feel like their chicken breast is so juicy and perfect. It is soft and o so delicious. I haven’t had anything here that I haven’t loved. It can be a little pricey for lunch [my hubs and I spent $ 30 yesterday, but we also got coffees and a muffin for dessert], but you get what you pay for: high-quality, fresh, local ingredients.

Three visits, three espressos; the good, the bad and the indifferent. They obtain their beans from Ceremony Coffee Roasters(great Baltimore location!) which I enjoy. The problems is that the employees, while friendly, do not exhibit significant barista training and therefore the final product is wildly inconsistent. A double espresso for $ 2.00 it’s a good price but never knowing how it’s going to taste constitutes a problem. There are few things more frustrating or unpleasant than over-extracted espresso in a coffeeshop; bitter, hollow and ashy… yuck. With that said, I do enjoy Cunninghams Café. The staff are polite, the place is clean, the décor is rustic and outdoorsy with a skosh of industrial charm. It’s great to sit down(indoors or outside), enjoy a beverage or nibble, and if you’re feeling bold, complete the Times crossword with a pen.

Pros: –comfy outdoor patio –cool décor –serves a mean nutella latte –wifi and peaceful work atmosphere Cons: –staff didn’t seem to knowledgable on the pastries when I asked for suggestions As someone who purposefully looks for coffee shops that can serve up a good latte and provide a peaceful atmosphere to work and people watch at, this place fulfills my requirements. Pretty solid 4 stars.

I have only been to Cunningham’s once, but it was for a special occasion. They really did an awesome job all around so it justified a five star rating! THEGOOD… –service was great –food tasted fresh and was super good –alcoholic cocktails were good –very clean –minimal noise level –easy valet parking THEBAD… –was sat near a door that had a reasonable amount of foot traffic Overall the first impression is a big one and Cunningham’s delivered. Would love to try again on just a typical day!

Cunningham’s is a very cute bakery and café. Small, but charming, it makes you feel like you want to hang out and stay awhile. Bread products are all baked in-house. On our visit we had a butterscotch scone, a toasted English muffin, a couple of macaroons and an Arnold Palmer(half iced tea, half lemonade). Both the bakery items were good. Based on this, the cute environment, and some other delicious sounding items on the menu I’ll come back again — even though everything else was less than I’d hoped. Misses: Macaroons — based on the texture, they seemed not as fresh as I’d hoped. I love that they make their own jam — but it was a huge disappointment, with a gummy texture that I couldn’t wait to get out of my mouth. Smuckers would have been ok. Worse yet was the watered down Arnold Palmer — it tasted like neither lemonade or iced tea, Again, enough positives that we’ll come back and focus on the bakery items that seem to be their strong point.
