This place was awesome! I had such a horrible experience at the babies r us in Columbia that I was skeptical to try the Towson store. What a difference! Their store manager, Tim, was incredibly helpful. I don’t know how j would have gotten through creating a registry without them.

This review is based on customer experience from one associate only. The store itself did not carry most of what I was looking to buy on my friend’s registry. The guest services gal Zoe looked up items for me which I wished to purchase and informed me that they were not available at the store and not even sold by Babies R Us any longer. And that was that. There were two able bodied associates lingering around the exit, perhaps they could’ve offered to assist me in the aisles which actually did offer the products on the registry? Instead I squinted and stared at the tiny ridiculous UPC symbols and was delighted when the item was the same as that on the registry. So often the one I had hoped to buy was missing from the shelves or had an entirely different UPC scan number altogether. I finally loaded up on products and gifts and was helped by Sheri. She greeted and assisted me and even gave me .07 of her own money so that I could have a dollar back. You don’t see that kind of customer service any more these days people. I also was able to get a discount with a rewards number which was awesome. Because of her wonderful demeanor and willingness to make my shopping experience a positive one, I will return to this location. To be honest I don’t really care for the BRU brand but since so many of my friends have been registrants there, I don’t have much choice. I am glad I was able to turn an initially frustrating experience into a pleasant one, thanks to Sheri. Store manager if you’re reading this, please give Sheri the proper recognition she deserves or more! In this corporate rat race world it’s so nice to see genuine, caring associates who go above and beyond for the customers simply because they want to, not because it’s forced or necessary.

I don’t know what people are expecting when they come in here — it’s a store to buy baby necessities, nothing more and nothing less. As a first-time expecting mother, though, it was VERY helpful to know what I needed(or so they say) for my as-yet-not-born daughter; I felt like Valentine Michael Smith from«Stranger in a Strange Land» wandering the aisles of burp cloths, rubber nipples and stroller sets. I did see some really coolish gear that I’d SPOIL my daughter with, if I had the cash. A bouncer that works with an iPhone and has sounds, of all things. Sure didn’t have THAT when I was a kid! The prices here, however, aren’t that stellar. Even items on sale are cheaper if I order them through Amazon — so, while it’s a good place to do research if you need to, I wouldn’t recommend purchasing here too much. This store is connected to a ToysRUs, though, and I’ll need that as a parent later on, so that’s convenient. The cashier was really sweet and helped me sign up for a rewards card after congratulating me all over the place. :) Not bad. It is what it is.

Pretty huge store. Just went in to pick up a birthday gift for my niece. The store was really clean and organized. I did pick up an additional item before I left the store. I would return to this store again.

Went to register for my baby shower and had a wonderful experience, the associate was pleasant. I was offered complimentary water, and a bag full of goodies! Coupons, creams, supplements, diapers, wipes, and so much more(all samples but nice none the less) Registering was super easy, just scan and go. There was so much to choose from! I ended with 9 pages front and back… And mothers that have their children with them while shopping there is a «mommy room» with a couches, changing tables, and pillows! Its such a nice place to change your child or breastfeed your baby! I almost look forward to coming back after I have my baby. Especially because the store has a little bit of everything, from food to furniture. Beware of the screaming/crying babies and children…

Really a horrible chain. We were sort of forced to go there because we’d received gift cards to them, but otherwise would never have shopped here. They are terribly overpriced. Simple staples here cost more than they do at a neighborhood drug store, and 40% or so more than, say Amazon. Why would anyone go to a big box store to pay convenience store prices? Their web site verges on fraudulent, promising free shopping, and then at the last minute saying we have to join some sort of paid service to get it. Again, I would have simply walked away. Finally, and unforgivably, they more-or-less simply stole money from us. We purchased products in-store using those gift cards, and then when returned them were told that we could only get credit for 80% of the purchase price. They simply took 20% of the money we spent as a return fee! I can’t imagine any store with policies like that in this day and age. In short, this is a company whose business strategy seems to be ripping off customers who are trapped because they received gift cards. If you’re expecting a baby, don’t register here. And please, please, please, DONOT give people Baby’s R Us gift cards as baby presents. Both you and the person you’re giving the gift to will simply be taken advantage of.

This babies r us sucks… For the most part. Though its easy to do exchanges here, that’s the only positive I’ve found to this store. Their bathroom is always disgusting, there are never enough employees around to help and when they ARE around, watch out… They might be on break and be completely unwilling to help you with even the simplest of questions. I understand everyone needs breaks during the day, but really? I will try my hardest NOT to come back to this store. Boo babies r us! Boo!

Staple place to go for basic kid needs. Bubbles! A must! I actually was a bit disappointed with the price of the boppy covers here. $ 25? Really though? And then the 20% discount card they send in the mail can only be used on bigger baby items, like cribs. I came on Memorial Day weekend so I was expecting better sales. It was liked they hiked up the price and then put it on sale back to regular prices. You can’t fool this Momma!

Service is hit or miss. For the toy section, they have the only really great board game selection that I’ve found anywhere — better than Target and Walmart combined.

The staff at this store was extremely helpful and patient with new parents trying to figure out how infant car seats attach to their bases and car seats. There were three changing tables in the ladies room, and there was a mother’s room that I guess was for nursing moms, but I am not sure.
