The husband and I just moved around the corner in Pepperell and came here twice in the week following the move. It was nice that the portions were sizeable for the price and that the drinks were tasty and strong. On one evening, there was live music and I almost reconsidered(restaurant music isn’t USUALLY my thing) but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the music was!

Really a shame this is one of so few sit-down restaurants in the area. I found it to be totally lacking. We went for lunch, so I would probably give it another shot for dinner and see if it miraculously improves. First impression: Outdated décor including lots of dusty, fake plants, sheets of white paper(actual paper, like you write on) covering the tables, bit of an off-putting odor(nothing major, but it gets your imagination going, and not to good places), tight seating even in a booth Waitstaff: Good; friendly and attentive. No complaints here. Food: They brought bread out while we waited, which was nice — wouldn’t expect that for lunchtime. The bread was actually very good — hot, fresh and flavorful. We ordered a meatloaf sandwich which came with their«signature» mix of sweet and regular fries, and also a pulled pork sandwich with the same. Sweet potato fries were great! I would order those if I end up at Bailey’s again. Regular fries were average. The bun for the pulled pork sandwich tasted slightly stale and also just generally extremely low quality — like a bakery bun you’d buy at your least favorite grocery store. The pulled pork itself was pretty good, albeit a bit dry. The flavor was there. We kept talking about how awesome the sandwich would have been if they’d put the pulled pork on the same bread they brought out before the meal. Too bad they didn’t. Meatloaf sandwich was pitiful. Paid roughly the same for it as we paid for the pulled pork, and got probably a quarter of the amount of meat. It was two, EXTREMELY thin slices of meatloaf(I’m talking maybe a quarter inch? half inch at best?) and probably two slices of white, american cheese, all slightly warmed on white toasted bread. Now, this was confusing — meatloaf normally comes in thick slices, like 2 inches or more, so it was a bit of a letdown. I hoped it would taste so awesome that I wouldn’t care. Nope. It sucked. It was lukewarm, lacking in flavor, and poor quality beef. It tasted like a lukewarm version of those salisbury steaks you get in $ 2 frozen dinners. What a shame. Final verdict: We moved to this area so we’ll probably be back to Bailey’s solely out of desperation. There just aren’t enough restaurants close by. But, it’s not because we want to go back. Have a hunch that’s how they get away with the quality. People are going to go regardless. C’mon, Bailey’s — step it up. The bones are there. You can do it.

I went to Baileys for the first time about a week ago. We just moved her and clearly this is really the only place to go. We were seated quickly but upon arriving at our table our waiter would not even look at us. I am guessing us being a lesbian couple had something to do with it they must not see many here in town. The waiter had no personality and the food well it was just okay. We did not have time to enjoy because we were rushed through.

The bartender didn’t say she’d get me a new burger. She said she’d get me bacon, i said no because I was almost done… She said she’d get me new fries but i was done my burger. The gal was young and cute

We live in the middle of nowhere. Bailey’s all you have to do is not suck and it’s a slam dunk for Townsend. Tonight my son and I sat for 10 minutes outside at a table where it’s «first come first served» and 3 waitstaff came and went repeatedly and nobody ever acknowledged we were sitting there and would like service. Decided to leave instead of deal with that. Try just a LITTLEBIT! EDIT: We did, in fact, check in with the hostess, who guided us to sit outside and someone would be with us. This was also likely our 4th or 5th time here. My experience has been consistently poor. I’ll go farther over to Shirley to The Bull Run instead.

Eh, good place to hang considering we live out in the country. Good service and food. What if expect from a place like Bailey’s. Service is good and atmosphere is good. One of the best places to hang in Townsend. It get 4 for doing what it does and where it’s at!

After years of mediocre dining experiences, I am finally giving up on this place. During my latest experience, my table was ignored for over 25 minutes. I just wanted a drink! After saying something twice, we ended up walking out.

first experience & very happy. the outer décor is welcoming & barn-like. The bar area was crowded which was immediately a good sign. Since the bar was full, we sat at a booth in the dining room. Our waitress, Amanda was very nice & knowledgable. The bread and oil that they give complimentary was warm, soft & tasty. The drinks were nothing to write home about… my mojito was terrible but the waitress gladly traded it for a different drink. For entrees, we tried the prime rib and the seafood arogosta. Both were worth the semi-high prices. The sauce served on the seafood arogosta was amazing; creamy with a hint of spices and tomatoes. The dessert tray was VERY tempting, but the large servings filled us up too much. We will definitely be back to try more off this extensive menu.

Food is mixed, some good, some not so good and some really not good. Place is loud and not great for dinner for two. Drinks are OK, no big specials. Bailey burger is good, large and fries are tasty. Haven’t had a good steak or seafood yet.

This place is barely mediocre. I suppose if you’ve got no where else to go and I mean, Townsend? Talk about the boonies. The outside deck was ok until the unmuffled Harleys would drive by so you couldn’t even talk. Service was OK but food was so bland. I got the Ahi tacos and the only thing that had a hint of flavor was the Sirachi they decorated the plate with. Pineapple salsa? flavorless. There was some sort of aioli but ‘spicy’? Nope. All served in some ‘cold, soft, out of the 50-pack bag taco shells. The bread seemed OK but was in fact, tasteless too. Probably a frozen par-cooked food-service loaf which was over baked as the hard crust went on for about ¼″ and the oil dip was flavorless olive oil blend(at least marginally better than that(Not Your Average) Joe’s safflower oil dip that they went to 2 years ago in lieu of EVOO to save a few pennies). This was our 3rd time and it’s always been marginal. I suppose if you keep it simple it’s OK. Could be much better and 2 stars is giving them the benefit of doubt.

THis place has great good. I had the chicken cordon bleu special and it was delicious. I was expecting butternut squash but ended up with Brussel sprouts. Thankfully try remedied that situation is some fresh steamed broccoli. This is my first time at this place because we are from out of town. The atmosphere was casual yet nice. Our server was very nice. Good food I would eat here again.

It’s fine. Reminds me of a 99. Not much in the area aside from pizza shops, so it can get busy. Unless you get a burger, you might find it a little pricey for what it is. The sweet potato fires are good. They have gluten free alternatives, so that’s a plus.

Went last night wish I didn’t waste my money. Had a salad to start, received a wilted bagged lettuce salad– two bites couldn’t take it. Gross. Then I got my Scallops. They were obviously frozen and microwaved– just sitting in water. tasteless. Tried dessert, the brownie sundae. No brownie and old ice cream. wow, how does this place stay in business? To bad because this area is in dire need of a good restaurant.

Yah, gave it another try tonight, why you ask? Because its right around The corner and convenient. Never again. This place is horrible. Sat at the bar, ordered the«famous lemon basil martini, asked to sub lemoncelo for the lemonade. First, not full for a small martini glass-($ 10.50!) warm, and mostly lemonade! Unfriendly waitress asked if all right;-(, ordered a side of Lemoncelo and a side of ice, brought me basically a tablespoon of both and I was charged $ 5.00! Ordered nachos and a beef quesadilla, COLD, ordered extra guac, never got it, but was charged $ 2.00! Husband wanted me to say something, but I was just mad. I had a niece work there for years, and would love to see Baileys do good, but they really have to improve customer service and food

This place could be such a slam-dunk, in the middle of nowhere with no competition to speak of. However, it’s mediocre. Nice staff, friendly, relatively fast service. Overall, the food was bland or overly salted. Warm bread, but obviously frozen and of the packaged variety. Soup seemed to be canned or pre-packaged, SO salty. The menu seems to be more or less pre-packaged, frozed food from say, Sysco(restaurant suppliers) and not too imaginative and def not fresh. They’d do well to cut down on the size of their menu and focus on quality and freshness. I added a star for service, but the food was disappointing.

The waitress SUCKED. No joke, it cost this place a 5 star rating. I just couldn’t believe how bad this waitress was. She was like Ryan Lochte with his clothes on serving food. Complete ditz. Here is some classic excerpts from last night’s dining experience: «Can I get you something, orrrrrrrrrrrr???» «Did you guys like still want the bread with the nachos, orrrrrrrrrrrrr???» «You want another drink, orrrrrrrr???» «You guys good, orrrrrrrrr???» and my personal favorite. This quote takes place 20 minutes after one of my friends placed her order with the waitress. «so wait. DId you say you wanted that chicken grilled orrrrr… crispy… orrrrrrrrrrrr???» What an airhead. And not attractive in my opinion. i think the owners and managers now have a narrowed down list of who this mystery waitress is. But the food, atmosphere, and prices makes up for it all. I personally don’t think they should be shoveling in a live band in there doing a shitty cover of «Summer Breeze», but that’s my two cents. The nachos were awesome(edible bowls!), the bread and oil was scrumptious, and my reuben was insanely good. But I would come back, because I do love the food here and hope that I had one bad waitress experience… if this place wasn’t at the end of the Earth in Townsend!

Friend’s of ours kept telling us to go because«their drinks and apps are awesome»… our friends are liars. Dirty, rotten liars. Went around 8 on a rainy Saturday last week. To get to the front door, you basically have to walk ½ around the building from the parking lot. For some reason unbeknownst to me, there was a giant SUV parked ONTHEPATIO blocking the entrance to the place, so I had to squeeze between it and the giants windows where everyone dining can see you looking like an idiot. The giant blockade also made it so your only path to the door brings you right through a Lake Erie sized puddle. I’m sure the people watching us got a good laugh when my jeans got soaked to the ankle. You’re welcome. Here’s our experience in a nutshell: There was only one bartender on… FOR A SATURDAYNIGHT. He was an idiot, a dick and ignored us in favor of his buddy whom he served 5 margaritas in an hour. NOT responsible bartending. I had to ask for my glass of wine 3 times. It still took him 30 minutes to bring it. The lobster roll came with no mayo… um, what? The Haddock Shrimp Pesto? Described as their«Baked Haddock topped with shrimp and a pesto cream sauce? There were no crumbs on the haddock(as described in their baked haddock entrée) and it was swimming(get it, swimming) in what was just milky pesto water. Yuck. Oh… there was a GIANT bone in my fish that sliced open the roof of my mouth. All in all, if I ever want to be ignored all night, served bad food and go home with my mouth bleeding again, I’ll have my ex bring me on a date to McDonalds and then go to a fight club meeting. I will not, however, go back to Bailey’s.

Got the veggie burger. It had good flavor and seemed like it was made on site but it was a bit mushy with a lot of sweet and regular potato in it I think, the signature fries were awesome though. I ordered the bruschetta as an app sans cheese unfortunately this resulted in them filling it up with onions instead which was not good. The effort was there I guess. My friend loved his meal however and the portion for him was huge and he couldn’t come close to finishing it but didn’t want to stop. So half and half for my group. I might try it again with my fiancé but I prob wouldn’t otherwise.
