Wine & Beverage Depot

The cashier refused to accept my government issued driver’s license under some premise that it was illegitimate. While I can appreciate the need to make certain of a customers identification and age, said cashier refused to verify the integrity of my ID and simply refused service. This is not acceptable business practice. Please provide better training for your staff so not to dismiss potential customers.
Besides that, previous times I have stopped by, the selection was good but I will not be returning.

I normally do not write reviews about a liquor store, but this place goes out of their way to help and even carries the items out to the car for you. So keep in mind, if you are buying a lot and need help, go here. You will not get that service at Costco or BJs. They have a big selection and the lay out is easy to find what your looking for.

These guys are awesome and they will try and order something if they don’t have it! The customer service is really good, and the employees are always willing to help.
Love them there. much better than the smaller liquor store in town which is much more expensive.
If you are into Craft Beer, this is the place to be! They have a huge selection.

NJ has these liquor/​beer/​wine places. Each state has their own system. This is a nice place. I find their selection good and the prices reasonable for the area. The craft beer options are sure to please everyone. Even someone who is an «expert» in craft beer (I am not).
Parking is easy.

I have been here several times and have always found a fantastic selection and helpful workers. Many people have written reviews regarding the craft beer selection and they do have a fantastic selection at great prices! I have also bought wine here and they have everything from wines like Yellowtail, to one of the biggest selections of French wines I have seen… they even had a random bottle that DH and I had on a vacation. They also have all of the basic liquors I have ever had occasion to buy, but I don’t typically purchase much hard liquor.

Excellent selection and friendly staff. I live about an hour away and stopped in on a whim when I happened to be in the area. The guy stocking the beer asked me what I needed, then found the last bottle of it, and suggested some other wonderful rare finds that I could not locate in NYC and vicinity.
I am so glad that I stopped in. Not only did I get what I was looking for but I also learned some new things about different beers and was generously given some rare finds at affordable prices. The next time I come over the GWB for anything, I will go out of my way to come here again. Kudos to this shop.

It’s all about the beer here; they have the largest selection of craft beer in the area. The staff knows everything there is to know about beer; definitely beer connoisseurs. Plus, they are always acquiring new beers from different companies (The first time I came here they were telling me they had just started carrying beer from «Reaper Ale Brewing Company»).
They also, have a large selection of wine and spirits, but because of their great reputation for craft beer, I’ve never bothered to look.
The store is always fully stocked so there no need to worry of them being out of something and the prices are always reasonable.
The only minor, minor thing I find weird is the cardboard from the packages in the refrigerators are always wet… but who cares the place is still awesome!
If you’re a beer snob, like me, you have found your final resting place.

Conveniently located near the Home Depot, so I can get my lawn-​mower parts and post lawn mowing beers at the same time. Haven’t looked into the wine selection too much, but their prices on beer seem to be the best around. And, usually some pretty cute girls at the checkout. I’m a fan.

I love this place, but I kind of wish they would close.. .we would have a lot more money in our pockets!
This place has the best craft beer selection in the area, and with better prices, and far less attitude, than Stew Leonards.
The employees are really knowledgable about the beer too. They can tell you when special batches are going to be released and will be on the shelves. If they dont have something, they will get it for you (provided you are placing a large enough order, of course).

Great selection and especially great service!

The sheer volume and variety of beverages offered here, across the worlds of beer and wine, is only surpassed by the virtual omniscience of its employees. So much so, that when my friends and I talk about beer or see an interesting new beer out at a bar or restaurant, we usually joke about whether or not the «Beer Depot Guy» has heard of it and whether or not he approved.
You know a beer store is great when its employees are turned into awed and respected characters referenced in any random conversations about beer.

Sick selection, best beer selection in North Jersey after Boonton and Jersey City. Looking carefully, I even found things that weren’t available at either of those stores, including a solid selection of a few rare Dogfish Heads and a great Bruery. Adding great prices and a good location right near Route 80, this spot is a winner.

Great selection… my hubby is always finding great seasonal brews… they also have magners hard cider for me

This place is so good that it’s bad. I mean every time I go in there I have to fight back the urge to spend $ 100 on awesome craft brews. The selection there is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It’s pricey but it’s worth it. If you don’t know much about beer, I suggest you do a little research about what you may be looking for before you go in there… that’s how overwhelming the selection is there.

Everytime I walk in to the «Beer De-​pot» I am taken aback. There’s just too much to even consider. As far as micros go (the only reason I go in) the Depot must have 20 or 30 times the selection that any normal liquor store has. Hard to not spend half a paycheck inside. Shopping around in there is almost as fun as drinking the beer. The staff is incredibly willing to help you find what you need and offer suggestions.
