Very nice movie theater. It may be small but it is very nice. Tickets are very very cheap only $ 6 for one adult ticket! It’s double that when I go to AMC Theaters. Theaters are big seats are not recliners but still nice. Picture was a little blurry but other than that very nice.

Not really any good movies ever playing. I’ve had this gift card for a while now. And I’m just waiting for a good movie to come so I can take my son who is 4 for the first time to the movie theatre. I’m sure Star Wars was great, but he isn’t interested in that.

No heat in some screening rooms. We froze last night and management a bit defiant that they have to show the movie by corporate policy. Watched movie with gloves on. Today a employee stated that we could have gotten refund if we were so «uncomfortable» never offered that last night. WILLNOTGOAGAIN.

Very poorly staffed. Waiting in line for 20 minutes to but a ticket in Torrington is ridiculous. Time to put two people in the ticket booth Saturday nights. Five stalls in the women’s bathroom and only two of them had toilet paper — at 6:30 Saturday night, the beginning of the evening. Definitely needs new management.

Clueless, tiny, outdated. Go elsewhere for fathom events movies.

For conventional movies, it’s really nothing special. The semi-deserted location is a bit depressing, as is the cinderblock architecture. Staffers are reasonably friendly. However, a couple new offerings indicate that someone is thinking outside the box: Starting in January, all tickets on Tuesdays are $ 5. I’m sure there are exclusions, but this is a nice deal. Also, they are showing hi-def productions from the Bolshoi and London Ballet on four dates in January and one in March. Tickets are $ 15($ 12 for ballet students). A really innovative idea for those who can’t make it to New York – or Moscow. Flyers in the lobby also suggest that they’ll be showing plays from the UK’s National Theatre, but I can’t find info about that on the Cinerom website. Great idea if so. Stay tuned.

I have to upgrade my review. Cinerom has recently undergone renovation. They’re now completely digital, and have 3D movies. The tickets for 3D are a bit steep, but compared to Plainville, which is the other alternative for 3D, they’re cheaper. The snacks are reasonably overpriced… aka expensive but not as insane as chain theatres. They do accept cards at concession(finally, I hate cash, I prefer to use my debit card) which is an improvement, but you’re still better off going to CVS, KMart or Price Rite to smuggle in snacks. The selection is still sometimes limited though… if only they would have added a few more screens with the renovations. PS: Tuesday is 5day where regular 2D movies are $ 5 as long as they aren’t in like their first week of release, and 3D is $ 7.50(same deal)

Your only option for the silver screen in Torrington! It’s alright. A little dirty, some obnoxious loitering on weekend movie nights, but all in all, they keep up with new releases and have a relatively-palatable machine grease they call popcorn butter. Sneak in your own snacks + drinks and you’re guaranteed an evening of motion picture convenience you’ll feel good about recreating again when another flick catches your fancy down the line. Occasionally, you’ll have to drive to Waterbury to expand your selection or catch première showings. You’ll also have to go elsewhere for the frills of 3D or IMAX, but you knew that already.
