This is quite possibly the saddest market I’ve ever been to. As soon as you walk up you will be hit with a gross smell– a mix of curry powder, tap water, cleaning products and funk. The market is disorganized, messy and dirty and in serious need of renovation. Everything about this place screams dingy, from the«Massive wine sale» sign in the front, to the smooth jazz funneled through its outdoor speakers. It’s just so sad to think that THIS is the best we can do in Old Town Torrance…

The staff here is so nice and they have a little bit of everything! We live right around the corner so this is our go to place if we need something quickly. Prices are a little higher but that’s normal and it’s worth it to us. They also have this cool little section of sodas and beers!

Come for the convenience, stay for the convenience. This place has a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Great for picking up last minute ingredients. Pretty good selection of sodas and beers.

Rice bowls! Two young entrepreneurs have begun offering home-made rice bowls(eg slow-cooked Filipino pork adobo — yum!) for very reasonable prices. The real kicker is they are trying to STAYOPENLATE — 2 am Fri/Sat. This may be a big town idea for sleepy burg like Torrance, but would love to see it take. There are 3 styles to try, and they will be changing them up. Add a $ 2.9932 oz. Arrogant Bastard from Stone, and you have a perfect solution to late-night munchies! (PS — yes, this family owned market is challenged with an old building structure, but they are the most genuine proprietors you could support, and a asset to Old Torrance. Check it out!)

This is my GOTO during my work day. Its located near my work so I frequent this place throughout the week. The family that owns it are all so friendly and I’ve watched their 2 little girls grow up over the years. They have all the basic needs like any other market should — you know, eggs, milk, bread, etc. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, snacks of every sort to get you thru the day. Drinks like you wouldn’t believe line the walls from front to back… no joke! Juices, waters, milks, sodas. you want it they got it. Another thing they have and that I am a frequent shopper of is WINE! They have some really great wine and I pick up a bottle or two at least 2−3x /month. Beers, too. Different and unique wines & beers. Check it out! You may find a treasure. I have more than a few times. They also have a hot foods & deli station. Love the pizza and the smoked chicken salad is awesome — Its a quick fix for me when I need some protein for lunch. I enjoy the small town feel and familial atmosphere — so a loyal customer I will forever be. @Luy T — Im surprised I didn’t review this place sooner: D

I’m surprised no-one has reviewed this place yet so I’m going to go ahead. First off the name is Torrance Produce Market & Deli and not Torrance Super Mkt. This place is great, they have fresh veggies, a small town feel and they also have a small deli. The only food I tried from the deli was a small tuna salad which was actually quite tasty. The reason I think this place rocks is because they sell ALFAJORES which I hadn’t had since I was 5 and my grandmother came back from a trip to Argentina. I’ll be coming back here for sure!
