Don’t care for the woman’s attitude, therefore it ruins my food experience. LA. Is full of good pupusas without having to put up with her attitude.

This place has a vegan pupusa on the menu! I think they change up the veggies that fill up the stuffed maize tortilla because one time it had carrots, potato, onions, and beans. Another time it had zucchini, corn, peas, and rice. The serving is a moderate size and it comes with a pickled slaw and salsa. Pretty good for $ 4. It seems that they don’t have these pre-made because the two times I’ve ordered the vegan pupusa, they informed me that it would take about 7 minutes to make. Perhaps they don’t have too many vegan customers. But I’m pretty set on getting one each time I visit the Torrance Farmer’s Market.

I’ve been coming to Delmy’s for a few years now. I discovered them at Torrance Farmers Market. They’ve come a long way since their tattered menu sign and their prices have gone up too! The lady(I’m assuming is Delmy herself) I remember being irritated and unpleasant to deal with all the time and sometimes argumentative with the customers. But, the last few times I’ve gone, she’s lightened up substantially… They were $ 1.50 each about 3 – 4 years ago and now they are double the price and they seem smaller… I always order the pork and cheese, they are crispy and ooey-gooey and really have lots of filling. They are always served with a side of pickled cabbage, salsa and their homemade sour cream, and occasionally she will give you a slice of avocado. They also have several latin style fruit juices and flavored lemonades which are tasty and refreshing! I am giving them 4 stars because they are deeeelishhh… plus people need to make a buck in this economy, can you blame ‘em?
