Went on Sunday afternoon– they said that there would be a 10 minute wait and we were next to be seated– even though half the restaurant had open tables. They could have been under staffed, although with half of the staff standing around its hard to think that they are. 20 minutes pass 2 parties walk in and ask how long the wait is, and get seated immediately… Strange. Still they could have had called ahead– so benefit of doubt. We are finally seated after around 25 minutes and 3 parties of ranging from 4 people to 5 people… There were 2 of us. Another 10 minutes pass before someone comes over to ask for drinks. Another 10 minutes before we get the muffins(that were cold and dry), still no water/coffee at this point. Finally 20 minutes in with coffee we order.(they had no dairy alternatives btw– i was told«no we dont have that healthy milk here»). So 25 minutes waiting to be seated, 20 to take the order, and then add on another 30 to even get our food. The food was mediocre at best. I order oatmeal and a fruit bowl, the oatmeal was plain– but I expected that. When the fruit bowl came out, I literally laughed out loud $ 3 for about 10 quarter sized pieces of cantaloupe and honeydew. Seriously? The only time someone came over to ask how we were doing was when they came to pick up the check.

I didn’t want to write this review since my name is on the account, but I had to say something. The food here is pretty good, especially the«bread» basket they give you. It’s not bread, it’s warm muffins, scones, etc, SO delicious. And the food on the menu are very yummy as well. The reason I give them 3 stars is because there’s this one waiter, that’s been there forever, a middle-aged, balding man, who is an absolute PERVERT. You heard me right. Every time I go, he makes it out of his way to touch me. Like half hug around my waist, or a full hug. Um, HELLO?! I’m NOT your friend, I don’t come here often, DON’T TOUCHME! You disgusting pig! I thought it was just me, but I have other friends who said he either touches them too, or asked them out on a date. I refuse to eat there anymore. I even dread it when I take my kids to the Chinese school next door, because if he sees me, he’ll come hug me again. One time I had no choice because I had to kill 45 minutes with my daughter while my sons were doing a make-up class at the Chinese school. Sure enough, he tried to come close to me for a hug. I just kept backing away until he got the picture. Foul, filthy, pig. Don’t touch me. My kids love it there, but I will never eat there again until that disgusting jerk is no longer working there.

We come here for brunch often. They serve the best scones and my daughter absolutely loves their blueberry muffins. We ordered a few minis for her to have as a snack for the week. The portions are big. I can’t finish ½ of their sandwiches. The staff has been attentive and friendly when we come in. They have the best Mac and cheese in town. My daughters favorite for sure. The only complaint I have is the torta Cubana I had was super salty. I ended up eating the scones to fill up lol. Also their cappuccinos and lattes are not sweetened.

Highly recommended Very good pastas, salads, sandwiches, soups, etc. for decades. Oh, and it is a bakery. Returned recently and tried the one of the new dishes, Martini pasta with lemon cream sauce. Very tasty and surprisingly light for a cream sauce. Served with a small basket of their bread and garlic dipping sauce. The only down side was getting the check to pay. This has become a common problem across the industry: once you receive the meal and all is well the wait staff tends to forget you.

Service was awesome! But found out that when they took my credit card to pay my bill. mistos café over charged me for an extra 25.00 for no reason ! I called the mistos café and they deny the charge. As I have proof on my bank statement. So thankfully my back will deal with it. And my bank credited me back. So check your charges when paying with a credit card. And or debit card. Just saying…

If you’re looking for a nice, quiescent spot for a date place, this is the restaurant to be. It’s tucked away in a very quiet plaza. One might think that the zombie apocalypse happened in the plaza since everything feels so quiet and abandoned. In any case, the food here is American traditional and unfortunately they don’t serve breakfast all day. Their Greek pizza is pretty darn delicious and the Cuban sandwich is a burger rather than a sandwich. Despite being the only customers there on a Saturday afternoon, the service was quite austere; the two people that served us didn’t smile at all.

Oh so good place for Breakfast/Brunch. I started with a Guava Mimosas, and lets just say there was like 1% guava in my flute. My friend and I both ordered the crabcakes benedict… oh so good. Definitely a must try. As well as the goat cheese rounds. An A plus plus for sure. They even give awesome little baked goods to snack on.

Came by to just grab crème brûlée(because it’s so hard to come by good crème brûlée in the south bay. Asked to be seated and told them that we were only going to grab dessert. The server’s friendly grin turned into a deafening grimace. When we told him that we just wanted to share 1 crème brûlée, he said okay and turned around shaking his head as he walked back to the kitchen. The crème brûlée was okay but would not come back due to rude service.

Yum Yum Yummy! Came here last Saturday for my Pre-Birthday Brunch with my cousin and friend. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and it was tasty. I also enjoyed the guava mimosa with the fresh baked petit goods that were on the table. Everyone else enjoyed their food too. The service was good and the waiters were friendly and didn’t rush u to hurry. Good place to have brunch and catch up with good friends.

This place is more customer specific in terms of food. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and was surprised when it came out. It’s not the typical soup you think of… It came with all the ingredients in the side and was oily. It was certainly not good to me but other people in my party enjoyed it. I returned mine and got pot stickers instead. The pot stickers were good but nothing special. The service was great. The server was extremely accommodating even when I sent my food back. He just kept apologizing that I didn’t enjoy the first dish. It wasn’t his fault but I certainly did appreciated the effort.

Meh. It’s alright And I’ve definitely had better tasting Eggs Benedict. Not surprised because Southbay has MANY mediocre, unremarkably tasting restaurants that TRY so hard to be legit. Just go have brunch in Hollywood or Manhattan.

My favorite restaurant now. My boyfriend had the Greek pasta, I had the martini pasta(I think it was called) they were both so good! We also had tomato basil soup, key lime pie, and a chocolate fudge dessert. Everything here was the best tasting food ever, we will definitely be back soon! :)

Was hoping to come for breakfast but found out they only serve their breakfast on weekends. Had their famous fusili. BF had the chicken martini pasta. Both pastas were okay but nothing exceptional. Wish the fusili had a stronger tomato taste and more salt. Chicken martini was interesting because it had a strong lemon taste in the sauce, but olives were overkill with the acidity. Ambience is cute though. We sat outside on the patio where a nice breeze ran through. Staff were friendly and service was quick. I think I would come back to try their breakfast.

Nice place came here for Father’s Day brunch and I had their special filet mignon eggs benedict while it was tasty I had one egg over cooked and the other under cooked. Maybe this day was bad to judge them because of how busy it was but that shouldn’t matter. Perhaps worth another try for a better experience.

Weird. Just weird. Menu offerings all over the place. Just went with it with an open mind. Pros: kids meal pizzas OK. The ice water had ice in it and was cold. :/ Cons: 1. Both pasta dishes tasted blah. Chicken on top of one pasta tasted strange. Hint of strange«cleaning agent» taste. 2. Service was slow and inattentive — my water stood unfilled for over twenty minutes on two occasions. Friday night prime dinner time. Only three-four tables in entire restaurant. Felt like we were bothering our server. Was odd. 3. Kids meals come with a cookie. We were offered the check without dessert menu and no cookies for the bambinos. Had to ask for the cookies. After cleaning our table off, we watched him grab the cookies with bare hands after not washing them. Threw the cookies away. Kids were upset but pink berry saved the night. 4. My crab sandwich was below average. Crab was mixed with sort of flavoring and fillers that masked the taste of the crab. Lettuce on the sandwich was hot. Would not recommend to anyone. Normally we would have brought these things up but the night just kept getting stranger and stranger and our waiter grew less and less interested in our table. There are WAY too many options in the South Bay. Perhaps we had an off night, but we will never be back. It was our first time and will be our last time.

My family and I went here yesterday for Easter dinner. We’ve been here before. It’s a quaint little spot off the beat and path that you don’t necessarily know it’s there. It sneaks up on you and totally word of mouth type of establishment. They make excellent food, great portions, fresh and versatile menu and a nice Tuscan style décor. The waitstaff is nice, professional and prompt. Their bread has an interesting pesto olive oil marmalade style dressing. I had the wild caught seabass with a wine glaze sauce with spinach and mashed potatoes. It was fresh and delicious! My family had the clams and mussels and a tomato bisque soup that was an endless vat! Then we had the flourless chocolate cake which was flavorful and delicious with a raspberry ganache sauce. We will definitely be back! Everything there is ideal. My only humble suggestion would be to have more visibility within their signage and advertising. Unless you know its there you don’t know it’s there so that’s a drawback. Otherwise I have no complaints. They also have nice outdoor seating as well.

Both times we’ve been here for breakfast its been a pleasant experience. Fresh scones and bread is delightful and the mimosas are great! I get a simple veggie omelet and my man gets the country breakfast. I know, not that adventurous but they are delicious. Staff is fast and attentive.

I’ve been coming here for close to 20 years. In the early days, the service was very personable and professional and the food was above average to good. In the last 5 years, I only come sporadically, thinking that in the time between they would improve. But that’s never the case. The service is far below what it used to be. While the bus and runner staff is very friendly and attentive, on recent visits the waiter that I’ve had has been inattentive and downright rude. As for the food, it is bland and mediocre at best. For the amount they charge($ 70 for 2 sandwiches and a salad, no alcohol, including tip – yes I tip even for bad service), I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect better. I don’t know if it’s complacency or lack of nearby competition, but the downhill trend continues.
