Before I became Dr. Yoon’s patient, I used to change primary care doctors quite a bit. Sometimes it was due to logistics, either the doctor moved his/​her practice to a different city, or I did. But sometimes, it was because the doctor fell short of the one quality I require from my caretakers (besides being competent) — that is communication. She listens to my concerns, and instead of a flat yes or no answer, she will explain why — and that is something I appreciate a lot. Needless to say, when Dr. Yoon changed the location of her practice to a new city, instead of finding a new primary care physician, I followed her to her new practice location.

Dr Yoon cannot be relied upon. Although as a primary dr she is somewhat average, she has a tendency to neglect or disregard her patients. When bringing up health concerns she dismisses their severity and I need to seek a second opinion from a doctor that will take me seriously and diagnose. She is also never timely with giving referrals or reading out test results. Her office however is the absolute worst. The staff are incompetent, inefficient and unresponsive. No matter how many times I call they don’t seem to attend to my simple needs for making appointments, getting referrals or mailing test results out. I actually have to call several times to remind them before they even acknowledge they should mail the results to me. I thought it was common sense and standard practice! Their level of service is absolutely terrible and I don’t feel like they care about their patients at all.

Never on schedule

It must be a hit of miss with this lady, I was not happy. I had my first apt with her as a new patient to an HMO plan. My apt was at 4:15 and I didnt see her till 5:20 maybe, I spent more time with her nurse than with her and she was a sweet girl. When I did see the doctor she rushed through my pap and was very cold. She said I’d have to make another appt to complete the rest of my physical and come back 2−3wks really? ! I dont have more money to throw away because she was running late! She than wanted to rush out when I had to ask her if my iud was still in place that seemed to annoy her because she apparently didnt check for it when she was doing my pap so to make it worse she had to check again !!! And as u may already guess it was not pleasant to do it again!!! I was so upset especially when her response was yes its there. No lady I asked if it was coming out not if it was still there, I told u it was there!!! By then she said I will just have to see an OB because she had nooo clue ! And had apparently not read my chart ! Ridiculous I will never go back to her!

I don’t think my husband and I ask for much when it comes to doctors. We just want someone who knows what they’re doing and listens to us. Is that too much to ask for? Apparently it is because we have dealt with so many rude doctors who blatantly cut us off and don’t listen to us. Long story short, we went to see Dr. Yoon for the first time last week and she literally spent thirty minutes listening to us and examining my husband. I think we have found our new primary care physician. :)

Dr Aeree Yoon is the BEST doctor my family has ever met!
She is very caring, knowledgeable, and extremely detailed with the patients’ progress and history (these are qualities you would definitely want in your physician but are surprisingly not very common, at least in the South Bay). I highly recommend Dr Yoon! Her staff is also always so cheerful and polite.
Parking is free and spacious.
