1st Thursday Adventure Run Torrance

What the what!?! How much fun can you have at one event?!? Friends and family bonding, exercise & beer! Will be there next time too!

Was super pumped about this event since I had invited my friends to come along (the previous one — first one for me — was at Costa Mesa). Got to the store early and the day happen to coincide with the summer close out sale, so SCORE! with tons of summer running gears and goodies. Got extra tickets for the sale items I got (so DOUBLE SCORE!!) Went to change on my orange adventure run tech shirt and waited for my friends to show up. Wow! Near the time the race was going to start the registration line was OUT THE DOOR long! Meet up with my friends and we had a blast of time running and having fun while collecting the tickets (tons of wrong directions while trying to figure out which stores we were going :)). At the end of the race, they provided root beer flow for the kids and people who doesn’t drink (YUMMMY with ice cream!!) Hurried up trying to tape the raffle ticket stubs to the tap while we chat and sit down at the curb, waiting for the raffle to start. During the raffles, there were couple of time Brant (the event lead) had started mayhem at the front by asking for volunteers while giving items away. Super FUNNY! I won a pair of compression socks (totally cool since that was the first time I tried it during the race and I wanted try it out in real time). Later spend time with my friend by going to nearby restaurant to veggied out. Had a totally blasted time. Thanks for coordinating this event! :)

This was our first Adventure Run and we had a ball collecting the tickets and going to the different vendors. My daughter won an Gift card and I won a free week of boxing. I can’t wait until May 7^th so we can do it again. The staff are supper friendly, I hate we missed the after party it was just a little late for us to attend. You rock
