~Sports Card Collector Scorned~ Dave and Adams was a favorite of mine for the past 2 years for all my collection needs. I’ve been a collector of sports cards for many years. Never would I expect a established business like Dave and Adams to treat it’s customers as poorly as I’ve been treated. I was a huge fan until they sent me damaged cards from a $ 70.00 case break I bought into. Called customer service and spoke with Kelly. She quickly put it off on Topps, as she called it. «A manufacturing issue.» Clearly the damage was done when 4 cards were loaded in a plastic sleeve together. I sent pictures that clearly showed this. My opinion is that this entire situation has been handled poorly. Her manager, Brian hasn’t returned the phone call he promised to make until I called twice. He did finally return my call two days after he said he would and he too put it off on Topps. Said he, «stands behind Dave & Adams.», I was also told that the owners don’t take questions or concerns from customers… They might change the way they feel about that policy when i contact topps and every newspaper in a 100 mile radius. Save your money folks, that’s all these people want from you.

I’ve never been in this store till recently. They have a bunch of cool things. I now have some cool Sabres swag! There wasn’t much customer service but when I cashed out the staff was friendly. I will come back in the future for sure!

From my single visit, this store is an excellent source of Buffalo area sports merchandise(including autographed items), sports cards and Magic cards. They had signs up advertising the next autograph session with a Sabres player. Unlike their Williamsville store, they don’t have any board games or collectible toys; the focus is firmly on sports.

David Duchovny and Adam Sandler, who are about as funny as each other(I’m not sure which one of them to apologize to for that remark), opened this store together. It sells overpriced sports cards, basically. I never understood sports cards, but then again I did once collect soccer stickers from Panini… occasionally I still do but don’t tell anyone. The difference is that those were freaking cheap, though. Cheap as f***. Whereas baseball cards and such, just get… well. Not cheap. However the employees here were super friendly when I was here buying Xmas presents for big sports collectors, and not everything was heinously priced, and I really appreciate that they are a niche store, family owned, and going up against the big boys in style. And so for that reason I’ll give them a very generous 4 star rating.

This is the absolute best place my dad would take my occasionally growing up. Sports cards delight! Having been back a few times recently, D&A definitely has converted about half of their showroom to bills/sabres jerseys but also have other NFL/MLB/NHL stars as well. However they still have their core selections of some of the top hobby cards and unopened boxes. D&A also has a separate sports card online business that is the #3 distributor of sports cards in the US only behind Target and Walmart! So you’ll always likely to find a collection of greatly reduced years prior box sets and packs. They also have reduced prices to «members» that only requires you to fill out a form with your name, number and email address, score! One of the most impressive things I’ve discovered about D&A is the constant line-up of autograph sessions at their 4 area stores of current and past NFL/NHL stars! These signings cost money(what doesn’t these days) but gives you a great chance to get things signed. For a unique gift for the rabid sports fans, go to any Dave and Adams and you’ll find everything sports, especially Buffalo!
