There’s a reason this place is #1 out of 250 places on TripAdvisor [for Toms River].
It’s Excellent. Will definitely try again. I still prefer my personal favorite: Giardinello Ristorante In Toms River.

Great food! Servers are excellent. BYOB! Cannot believe it took us so long to find. My husband is having a holiday party here. They were very accommodating — called us back immediately. We are in Jackson but always stop for dinner after Island Beach fishing. Guess we’ll be stopping here from now on! Thanks Unilocal

Found this based in the Unilocal reviews. Glad I looked. My wife and I enjoy BYOB and Italian, and this was a gem. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and our meals were excellent. We will be back.

Our waitress Sam was a sweetheart. She was always attentive and nice. Pork Chop with sweet and hot peppers was delicious and I got a special shrimp and scallops over lobster tortellini covered in vodka sauce was good too. BYOB can’t wait to go back and try something else. Delicious!!!

Ate there for the first time this week on a recommendation from a local. Great atmosphere friendly staff and good food. I would highly recommend for anyone.

We had a party of 8 for a Friday night so I called and made a reservation. When we arrived there was only 1 couple there. We wondered why it was so empty. We ordered the long hots & calamari, both yummy. I had the soft shell crabs, very tasty. Several of our group order veal pamagiana. The sauce was just ok, didn’t taste like it was cooked very long. Service was very good.

I absolutely love going to Tardi’s. The food is always above and beyond amazing! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I love the fact that they have specials but it makes it hard to choose what I want to eat. If you are looking for a small family local byob you found it. Definitely make a reservation on the weekend tho because it’s quite busy.

We’ve been to Tardi’s twice now, and both times were a hit. I wish I took more photos, but honestly the food is too good to wait.
They start you off with complimentary homemade bruschetta and Italian bread hot from the oven.
It’s a comfortable Rustic style Italian ambiance. Tablecloths and linen napkins. Very professional waitstaff. Friendly and not at all stuffy. You can easily go in jeans or khakis.
Def have the Clams Oreganata. They’re incredible.
The Pork Chop with Vinegar Peppers and Potato’s is perfect.
Steak Pizziaolo is huge and amazing.
They had Broccoli Rabe and Sausage ravioli that is one of the best things I’ve eaten.
Excellent Escarole and Beans.
And it’s BYOB, which I love.
Definitely a great spot. Make sure you make a reservation on weekends. Will def be a local here from now on :)

This place is wonderful. The staff is incredibly friendly and very good at their jobs. The food is ridiculously delicious. If you like spicy, please get the Italian long hot peppers. They are delicious. This restaurant needs to make a dinner dish with these peppers. Also the escarole and beans is so incredibly delicious. Get a full loaf of bread to dip, you’ll need it. Bring your own wine or alcohol, and I promise you will have an absolute wonderful time.

Service was great. The place itself was small and cozy… Very well decorated! It’s a nice restaurant… Great if you wanna impress a date. The food tasted extremely healthy! Like good Italian food for old people! Everything was well presented and tasted HEALTHY. To me… That means it lacked salt and other seasonings! To me it lacked more taste.

Not the Tardi’s I remember!

We visited Tardi’s for the first time last night. Our meals, Veal Sorrentino and Sole Francaise were excellent. The fried calamari appetizer was done to perfection. Portions are generous but not ridiculous to the point of being wasteful. Some restaurants serve oversized portions and think that they can overcharge for what leaves in a doggie bag, only to be forgotten on the floor of a car for several days. Tardi’s prices are reasonable and, as a BYOB, it was a most economical experience. The staff was efficient and «family friendly». Service was excellent! Even though it was a snowy evening the dining room was filled to capacity with most tables occupied by four to six patrons. Apparently, no cancellations by a very loyal following. A sure sign that the establishment must be doing something right.
All things considered, our meal and service was a five star experience in a four star dining room. Unfortunately, the room is small to the point of being crowded with 12 – 14 tables; a capacity of a maximum of perhaps sixty guests. Eavesdropping on adjacent conversations, if not unwelcome, can, at times, be entertaining. The secret to Tardi’s success may be their size. Serving less than 100 meals on a Saturday night enables the chef and management to achieve a higher level of quality and excellence not always possible in a more ambitious establishment. Tardi’s succeeds in every respect. We will return frequently.

This place surprised me! Every restaurant or food establishment thats been in this spot was always gone within the year, so when these guys lasted past that, today I decided we should try it. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is nice (altho its VERY small inside, cant imagine if the dining room was full!) The food is AMAZING, its fresh, flavorful. I will definitely be venturing back, and its a bonus thats its right next to my house!

Mom suggested the place, usually a bad sign, but was very good. Had stuffed portobello mushroom for app & tortellini w/​scallops & lobster, sauce was good, not heavy. Its BYOB so thats always a plus. I think everyone enjoyed their food. Its a small place, so maybe U will wait.

Great location everyone raves about Tardis

We recently visited this restaurant twice and we can’t believe that such a great restaurant has come to Toms River!
It is a very small storefront in the Foodtown shopping center on Fisher Blvd.
They have a great menu with everyone’s favorites and nightly specials.
We went for the early bird dinners and the portions and food are phenomenal!
The early bird dinners are priced at only $ 13.00! The service couldn’t be more warm and friendly!
This is definitely our new regular spot!
