Food is decent. Don’t order online they will definitely steal your credit card. Happened twice to me and once to my friend before we realized what was happening. Luckily my bank caught it and removed all charges. The employees don’t care either.

Decent food, a little too salty. The fried rice is underwhelming. Get the white rice. My card was hacked 2x after using the online site to order, when I brought it to the managers attention, she didn’t seem to take it very seriously. Only pay cash here.

Great quality food and quick delivery. The menu is a combination of both Chinese and Japanese dishes. There are a number of dishes on the menu that are familiar but executed differently than your typical Chinese take out. I look forward to trying more from Tang!

My husband and I tried this place out for the first time last night, and we thought it was ok. The prices are really high compared to the usual place we go too. Generals Tso’s chicken with a small side of white rice was 12.55. The food was really good, but most of what was on my plate was broccoli and a fake flower for decoration. The service was quick, but because the portions are small and overpriced we will stick with our usual Chinese spot on fisher blvd.

So, we had a menu from tang, and decided to order. i ordered online, and first, several of the sushi items did not have the same item number as on the paper menu. it took a while to navigate it but i placed the order to be delivered asap. 50 minutes later we called and were told«i’m not sure it’s ready». another 20 minutes and he came, and we discovered that somehow the system deleted two of our entrees, and did not give me the 10% off. we called and received a so what attitude. the flavor of the food not worth the aggravation

The food is absolutely excellent. However, delivery tends to be awful. I would’ve given them five stars based on their quality of food, but to have the delivery man ask me why I wasn’t giving him a tip, when I clearly was when I asked for the amount of change I wanted back, is just rude. Not to mention that I had to meet the delivery guy in the middle of the street bc he couldn’t find my place is exceptionally unprofessional. I’m pretty sure I will no longer be ordering delivery from there again. Even still, take out and dine in are still options that I will consider.

My wife and were pleasantly surprised when we notice they Sashimi on their menu. We order the Sashimi lunch and the sashimi was very fresh. We also went on New Years eve and even though we didn’t have a reservation we were promptly seated and had a very enjoyable meal of Kung Pao chicken and Hunan pork. Service even on such a busy night was prompt and friendly.

First and foremost I’m not a Sushi eater but really enjoyed the avocado and cucumber roll for about $ 4.95 not a bad deal. Then had the shrimp Yaki Udon also very tasty and loaded with shrimp for about $ 14.00. If you are a fan of sushi give it try. I will eat there again. I don’t know the going rate for sushi these days but felt the Japanese and Chinese dishes were a bit pricey. I got the take out staff was friendly and food was ready when I got there. All in all a good experience.

Too pricey for a small amount of food that was given. Chicken wings were super small wings, not full size, the mooshuu pancakes are supposed to be homemade dough instead it was store bought tortillas Cream cheese wontons barely had any fillings in it but the general shrimp was good, chicken & broccoli average and fried rice good as well. Delivery was fast. I don’t think I’ll be trying this place again. 8.95 for 5 pieces of small shrimp yea no thanks.

Very fresh Chinese food. Delivery is quick. The only thing is for the 2nd time I ordered a 2 liter of diet pepsi and they bring me diet coke. Called after I placed the online order and they said they had it. If you don’t have it let me know. A little perturbed but overall good place for Chinese.

This is a nice find and local Toms River secret for sushi. Good prices. Friendly staff. Fresh, tasty food. They will even do sushi rolls in soy wrappers! Just ask. We have been going here for years and never had a bad experience.

We have been going to Tang for a while now and the past few times we have gone there or got take out it’s been awful! Tonight was the worst by far. The service was terrible and it wasn’t even crowded. My sister ordered chicken lo main and it literally smelled like an ashtray! My husband thought she was just being picky and dismissed it, then as he began to eat he said it smelled like someone was smoking in the restaurant. Then he thought there is no way it’s her food and sure enough after he took a bit he said it tasted like someone ashed in the food. We will not be returning to Tang Dynasty. The food is not as good as it used to be, the service is awful and they never charge me correctly on the bill lately. The waiter sneezed on my husbands head and then picked his nose on the way to the kitchen tonight!

RUDERUDERUDE, the first time I called the lady hung up on me because she couldn’t figure out the address and the second time I placed my order and didn’t meet the min. Delivery amount so instead of asking if there was anything else I needed the guy just says ok bye… Excuse me but apparently this place doesn’t care about a sale and has horrible customer service!

Tang is our go to delivery Chinese/Japanese restaurant. Quality always good, delivery on time, website ordering available and everything is tasty. So just to be sure, we have also eaten there and the in restaurant experience is excellent as well. Just easier for us to order out. The Mrs. and I have tried almost everything on the menu and I must say I do not think you will be disappointed with anything you order.

There’s two types of 5-star Chinese restaurants. There’s the type that’s on a gourmand, high-end level, the sort of place that usually is found in hot spots in NYC with chefs that appear on the Food Network. This isn’t that place. This is the sort of local, neighborhood place where everything is fresh and not over-salted(my wife commented that the wonton soup was the best she had in a long time, and I agreed), the service is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. We just had Chinese-American cuisine– me, mongolian beef, her, chicken with cashew nuts. It was perfect for a wet Saturday night. They even brought us a lovely bit of cut-up fruit for dessert. We will definitely be back. I might even come back and try the sushi. This is a great local business.

This is truly the BEST chinese in Toms River. Top quality. Generous portions. They offer brown rice. Very clean environment. Tasty won ton soup in a REAL broth not the overly salty broth as in other chinese restaurants, Won tons are nice and light as opposed to the thick chewy tasteless ones ususally found. Even the tea is wonderful. This place is top notch and we’ll be going here agaiin and again.

Stopped back into Tang Dynasty last night, and I wasn’t as enamored as on my first visit. I used the on-line ordering system, and it worked like a charm; the food was ready at exactly the specified time. I ate what were still the four best pieces of Shrimp Toast I have ever had, despite the fact that they were shipped on a bed of shredded cabbage, and that the hypotenuse of each triangle smelled and tasted like that, which was a little off-putting. They were clearly made fresh on demand, not the least overcooked, tender and delicately flavored. I also ordered a Spring Roll, which tasted like something frozen, à la some kind of La Choy eggroll from my childhood, except with fresher tasting shrimp. That translates to mushy cabbage and a strong celery flavor, for the uninitiated. Ick. Lastly, I had the Pork Chow Fun. The ho fun were so overcooked that they had essentially become a paste, and what of them that were still recognizable as noodles had been been broken into pieces. The vegetables and the char siu were excellent, but those noodles were inedible. I had to suppress a gag after the first bite, and a second bite I spit out. Texturally, extremely unappealing. The dogs loved it though, particularly the quantity they received, but they don’t have what you would call discerning palates. Sorry dogs, we won’t be doing that again. I did learn that they serve fresh fried wide crunchy noodles, which I consider a mark of quality in a typical Chinese restaurant(meaning one without gourmet aspirations). Despite the fact that I was almost completely underwhelmed by the meal, I’m not going to rule it out yet.

Finding a suburban Chinese-American restaurant that stands apart is pretty difficult, with one on every block, but I think I’ve found one. First off, Tang stands apart because it also happens to serve some of the best sushi and Japanese fare in the area, and that’s huge points for me. Second, ordering online(and getting 10% off in the process) is very convenient, and delivery has always been very fast for me. Third, how’s the food? Well, after about a year, it’s been pretty good — it’s not gourmet, but that’s rare. It’s better than many let’s just say. Eating there is also a treat — it’s a full fledged restaurant with a sushi bar. When I want Chinese + Sushi delivered, this is the place! Tang helps to make Stella Towne Plaza one of the true culinary highlights of Toms River with many various ethnic restaurants represented in one plaza, and most are simply tremendous! Give them a shot and see for yourself.
