I gave this course a 2 star rating mainly because of the on-course staff. The course it self was in fair to above average condition. It is a decent length from the middle tees and for the most part is a wide open track. The greens are very large making for some very challenging lag putts. Two holes where water comes into play but overall not a lot of trouble. The clubhouse staff was friendly and helpful, the starter on the other hand was an other issue he seemed to be more interested in talking to his township buddies than to do his job, when he finally did acknowledge our group he scrutinized our receipt like it was a parole agreement for Charles Manson, once he decided that we were in fact being allowed to play on his course he announced that we were early and would have to wait since we were walking and he could not let us on the course without a cart. It was 10:50 for an 11:06 tee, time carts are required before 11. I could not understand why he had to make this point since there was a group on the tee at that time and clearly we were not trying to get out early and were there the required 15 min before tee off. At around 11 we were summoned to the first tee and were there no more than 5 min before he drives up on his cart and berates us for not teeing off quicker. This guy was beyond rude and for that fact I rate this course a 2 and do not recommend playing here, I will not be back. There are cheaper and better golf options in and around the Jersey Shore where you are treated much better.
