Hidden gem in South Toledo. driving by you don’t see how big it is but their are some great trails and scenes here. I often enter through the bike trail so that is a nice loop for dog walking, biking or with kids. the trails are my favorite with views of swan creek and the natural side of Toledo. lots of deer and birds with beautiful overlooks. Only con I would say is that I compare it to Wildwood which is much bigger and we have sand hornets on this side of town during July through August and I hate them.

Nice run with the boyfriend — clean and well maintained! Saw two fawns with their mother who pretty much ignored us when we ran by. There were also a lot of picnic benches and a playground.

Always a good time for Fun in the Sun here at the Metroparks. Not too far away from where I live, we come here to walk and run as well as bird watch some of the time. We ended up walking for 40 minutes or so, it was a busy day, there were people everywhere kids running about, people exercising and training. But be warned, at night the mosquitoes want to be your best friend if you are not careful. Happy tree hugging!

I have gone to park pretty often over the years. It is only about four miles from my apartment, and it has nice trails for walking or jogging. Now they have a separate biking trail. There is a herd of deer that you see in two or threes(and sometimes, if you’re lucky, a dozen in winter). The trails go up, and down, but there is also access over part of the trails for the handicapped.
