I ate here with my girlfriend and her parents(Vietnamese), visiting from Little Saigon near Los Angeles. She comes her once in awhile. We usually get the beef ph and the spring rolls. The peanut sauce with the rolls was a little spicy and good. For phở I like dac biet(special). The best thing to do is to cook the beansprouts and basil in the freshly hot soup. We use the sauce to dip the meat in but don’t add it to the soup.

As good as any phở I have had… A pleasant surprise, the food was so good I was able to overlook the overbearing and slightly rude server/owner I had no choice other than to give it the rating I did, !!!(In her defense her English was limited)

The phở is great. For take out it comes deconstructed, as it should be. You will not be disappointed. This us a hidden gem that I hope stays around for a very long time.

Very tasty food. The service is… maybe«intense» is the right word? Intense, but very charming. My friends and I are very fond of the place.

Me and the family dropped by because we wanted some phở. I’m a big phở eater and know when I get some good phở. This was not the place. The bowl was too small. No large size. Plus, my daughter found a lady bug in her phở!!! Bad. You only find bugs in your veg if you go cheap and grow your own veg. I’ve done it myself. Will not be going here again.

One of the very few restaurant’s which turned out to be a total let down. Unilocal reviews didn’t turn out the way I was expecting The place is in a sketchy house in a shady neighborhood… Total bummer to start off… The owner had no emotions what so ever when we entered, did not even welcome or greet us… As if we were doing them a big favor. That was followed by not providing any help on what kind of entrees would she recommend… All dishes looked a bit overpriced. Later on she didn’t even come back once, to check upon us and ask about the food. During check out we had issues getting our receipts, had to physically go to the register and help her out. Although the food wasn’t bad… one of the worst customer service experiences

I really like Phở Viet Nam. Something about a big steaming bowl of rich broth, with all the yummy Thai Basil steeped in, is very comforting and delicious. This is a no frills experience. Just reliable, really good Vietnamese food available in Toledo Ohio. Spring rolls are good! Try the stir fried noodles too. I have a hard time choosing the Phở I like best, the beef, or veggie. I gave 4 stars, because the food is solid. Please keep in mind, this is a no frills establishment. Actually something a bit comforting to me, just being so very low key. I hate to use such a «Mom» statement, but, Try it, you may like it!

It was pretty hard to find any Vietnamese Restaurants in Toledo in general. This place hit to spot for me. Surprising the food was pretty decent(didn’t expect anything good outside of Cali).

People concerned about a regular neighborhood in Toledo should stay in the suburbs because Chain Restaurants were made for them. Owner is cool, but strict and she is always right. I love the noddles with fried tofu veggies, cut up fried spring rolls and sweet sour sauce. Phở brisket super good. My favorite coffee drink in town. Totally legit . Coming from someone who would never eat at fast food, Applebees Olive Garden etc.

This is authentic Phở run by only two or three real Vietnamese people. People from these countries are thrifty thus this place sits in a poor neighborhood. The atmosphere makes you want to turn around and run away, it’s like something out of a cheap production movie. I give them five stars because they do not put on a show to get your money, no fake smiles, no super quick service times. Simple plain authentic Phở and it’s as simple as that. Sit where she asks you to sit or she will move you. Order by number off the menu not the name and by all means tip her correctly! They were quite busy the day we were there and it is only her waiting on tables be patient. She is actually quite pleasant as I struck up a conversation with her about how she had the hottest jalapeño peppers I ever had. The Phở hands down was good! Prices, you will pay good money for this drab atmosphere but you will get authentic Phở. If it is winter outside, you will want to wear your coat inside there and keep it on while you eat, it was cold. The soup will warm you up for sure! These are very simple people living life simply, like it or don’t go is the motto. I’ll go back!

* Unilocal — how is this still 4 stars when there are so many 1 star reviews on the page that I count?* THISISMY2NDONESTARREVIEW. DEFINITELYNOT4-STARS! I am not sure how this place was rated on Unilocal… EPICFAIL. If your looking for this place, it is in a not-so good part of town and in an almost decrepit looking house. Definitely wasn’t sure if my car would be broken while I was in there eating. I had their phở and viet egg rolls — both — fail. The broth was not as tasteful and very oily in comparison to the other phở places that I have been to. The egg rolls were very plain. When I went up to pay, definitely smelled cigarette smoke in the kitchen… My recommendation: do not come here for Phở!

This was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever endured. Phở Viet Nam is classic hole-in-the-wall setup, with shabby tables and chairs coupled with an old television set blasting the evening news, making for an utterly depressing atmosphere. Many such places boast amazing food that makes up for a lack of décor, but sadly, this was not the case here. When we arrived, we were neither greeted nor seated, and stood at the counter, grabbing our own menus until a woman finally arrived to curtly point at a table where she permitted us to sit. Her demeanor was so rude and off-putting, it felt as if my very existence as a customer was some great hindrance to her. I placed my order for one of the spicy soups on the menu, and asked to substituted the pork for vegetables. She insisted that removing the meat would cost extra, so instead, I opted for a standard bowl of beef phở and a boba drink. I thanked her for the water, to which she made absolutely no reply. The meal she plopped in front of us before wordlessly walking off was an insult to Phở itself. A few slivers of greyish meat sat in a warm bowl of flavorless broth and noodles. There were no vegetables or any other ingredients in the bowl. She left a small side dish of basil, mint, sprouts, and two meager slices of jalapenos, which we were both expected to share. The basil was blackened at the edges, wilted, and clearly unwashed, leaving a gritty feeling in the mouth. She was kind enough to snatch the condiments from the group sitting at the table next to us, silently dropping them beside the wilting basil, before storming back into the kitchen. The drink I had to swallow down was clearly an overly-sweetened pre-made mix, blended with ice. The tapioca balls at the bottom were a little hard and tasted as if they were either expired, or very near to being expired. They left an unsavory flavor in my mouth, quite unlike any boba drink I have ever tasted. While we ate, another couple came and sat down at a table(there was no one there to seat them, so they simply picked a spot and managed themselves). The woman came out, and for no apparent reason, forced them to move one table over. It was a bizarrely rude thing to do, but it was far from the worst. There was no one to attend to us for a long while, and wanting to pay, we had to go up to the counter and wait for a good long time before she came back out and gave us our bill. The cherry on top of this awful experience? She called us back up to the counter and complained about our tip. Yes, for her terrible service(for which we actually did leave her a small tip) she COMPLAINED that our tip was incorrect. I simply stated that it was, in fact, the appropriate tip, and left it at that. I don’t understand the hype this restaurant has based on other reviews. Rude service, terrible food, depressing décor, and virtually no redeeming qualities other than it happens to be the only Phở restaurant in town. I would give zero stars if I could.

Locally owned and an Authentic Vietnamese. I’ve been to Vietnam and this is just like it! The food is spectacular. And the owner is a sweetheart. Highly recommend a Veggie Phở with Vietnamese coffee!

Whenever I am in Toledo I stop at Phở Vietnam or what I like to call«soup of hope.» I religiously order net 17 which has all of the good stuff in it. The broth is comforting, flavorful and not too salty. They are generous with the amount of meat they provide in the soup too. This is a hole in the wall restaurant and easy to drive by. The décor is nothing to talk about but the food is all that matters. An older woman takes care of the front and food comes out of the kitchen quickly. I believe it is a family run restaurant. I definitely recommend stopping by for some«soup of hope»

Gotta knock off a star… Phở Viet Nam stopped serving the chicken banh mi(a little while ago actually). WTF?! This leaves only the pork banh mi, which isn’t worth eating. If this recently changed back, let me know. With Amango down, maybe for the count, I’m not sure where to go for a «Vietnamese Sub» in this town. The phở, here, is still pretty good.

I don’t know what all the hype is about, but I can assure you this is not the best Vietnamese restaurant in Toledo. First of all, this«restaurant» is in some really strange house and the atmosphere is non-existence. I can look pass all that if the server lady was at least a little bit friendlier. She was cold and acted like we were bothering her. The phở price is a little bit outrageous here. Given that you can get better quality phở in Los Angeles for $ 6, $ 9+tax for this mediocre phở was a rip off. The spring rolls were ok. You can tell the shrimp was not fresh; it had a weird taste to it. I urge you not to come here unless you want bad customer service and lackluster phở. Toledo please open a better Vietnamese restaurant soon!

I hate when a Unilocal rating lets me down. I went to Phở Vietnam last night for dinner and it was by far the worst phở/experience ever. I had the phở with rare steak & tendon and my boyfriend had the phở with steak and brisket and we got some spring rolls. I feel like this was one of the worst food decisions I’ve made in a while. The spring roll was slimy and fell apart once I bit into it and the phở was lackluster. We asked the server for some soy sauce and she told me I couldn’t have any because ‘it’s not right’ at that point I was ready to go. We left all our food and she looked at us like we were crazy. Never again. If you want good Vietnamese, go to Amango.

Our man forever and so percussion crew rolled in 8 deep to this unassuming spot. No one was eating but that wasn’t a bad thing as all attention was placed on us. Super bad ass Vietnamese coffee. Iced and hot Then the meals. Folks got vAriety of entrees I jammed what was a vermicelli rice noodle soup with fish shrimp pork and squid. Total boss. Spring rolls were bombed out. Fried rice looked hot. Bahn mi yum. Excellent service. Hit this spot up
