Muna Market

I ordered the family platter one and the family platter two to feed a group of 15… There was not one single person that could keep from raving about the food! I will definitely be coming here again and trying even more off of the menu. The food that I thought being delivered to other people makes me want to go back really soon!

I came to Muna after a friend had suggested it to me…
The atmosphere is wonderful and full of Mediterranean smells and vibes!
Literally THE BEST HOMEMADE PITA IN TOWN!
It’s soft and had a light cinnamon flavor to it, which really brought out the lemon in the hummus I also bought there.
From the grocery-​side of the store, everything was authentic and inexpensive.
Household items on the back wall (almost like what you’d see in an Asian market)
Towards the door/​seating area, there was a wall of Honey and sweets that is absolutely amazing.
In coming here, I didn’t realize that is was a restaurant also! So I’ll definitely be back to try their food. The man behind the counter was helpful and very sweet, he noticed it was our first visit and gave us some Date Croissants to try out — they were delicious!

Excellent family owned market that has a small eat-​in area. Food is very, very good. They have a brick oven that they make their own breads in. Specials are different every da, for $ 2.50, you can get a personal meat bread that is excellent. Highly recommend.

Loved there Turkish coffee !!!
Finely there is a place with good Turkish coffee and home made dessert. Plus I like to do my grocery there for the Lebanese and Mediterranean ingredients. And there home made food is grate and the fresh bread right off the oven … Mmmmm lovely.

My husband went there yesterday, he stood in front of the counter for 10 minutes while a man and a lady behind the counter where helping a costumer. After that they just ignored him to help the people who came after him!!! They are unprofessional to say the least.

One side is grocery area and the other side is dinning area. People are polite here, helpful and foods they make here is really good. Reasonable price for what you pay on your food.

I can’t believe this place only has 9 reviews. The BBQ Ribs were FANTASTIC. I love BBQ Ribs, these Ribs were absolutely sublime: fell off the bone, the flavors were exploding in my mouth. To finish off this monster meal, I enjoyed chocolate & raspberry (?) croissants. I didn’t want to leave. I wanted to eat and eat. One girl in particular behind the counter was gorgeous to boot. Love this family-​owned establishment. I encourage you to go out there and order the Ribs and desserts. You will not be disappointed!

A very nice place to pick up some great Mediterranean/​Middle Eastern food. The prepared food is exceptional. I’ve had lunch here several times in the past few weeks, and they are extremely slow in getting your food out. There are available seats to sit down, but the ordering is done at a «carry out» style counter. I ordered a gyro and fries one day and it took 25 minutes for me to get my order. The next time I tried the place for lunch it took almost 30 minutes to get my chicken shawarma sandwich and salad. Both times were at peak lunch times, but there were only 2 other customers in the store each visit. If you are in a hurry and they have a prepared lunch special on their counter, I would recommend it. However, if you want to order off the menu, then you’ll be waiting a bit.
Additionally, I have tried their grape leaves. They are decent, but they were not the freshest at the time and tasted a little bitter. Most everything else I have tried has been very good.

This has become my favorite middle eastern deli/​store in Toledo. The menu goes beyond the basic shawarma/​hummus/​falafel things to include offerings like braised lamb shanks, yogurt kibbe, a huge selection of meat and cheese pies, besides a number of «Americanized» choices. The chicken shawarma is excellent, nicely seared but still juicy. Salads have been very good, with strongly (but not too strongly) lemony dressings, Falafels are crisp on the outside, a little soggier than I’d like on the inside – not that that stopped me from scarfing them down! Hummus is about as good as you’ll find. Good as the food is, the service can be a bit slow.
The market side is small, doesn’t have a huge selection, but still a solid representation of mediterranean cooking basics (and seriously… just how many brands of tahini do you need???). And it’s clean! A very economical olive bar and well-​stocked meat case are musts for a visit here. In the latter, you’ll find a little bit of beef, a little bit of chicken, a little bit of goat, but a whole lotta lamb, everything from tongues to trotters, at far below supermarket prices.
While I like to sample a variety of places, Muna is taking away my incentive to explore other middle eastern restaurants in Toledo. It’s a pleasant rut to be stuck in.

It’s honestly the best Mediterranean place in the region! Better than you’ll find in most places in Dearborn imo. This place is definitely a unique find in Northwest Ohio. There aren’t many places anywhere near here that have such amazing authentic Arabic dishes and for such good prices. I highly recommend this place for shopping for Mediterranean groceries and for eating out any time of the day. Mediterranean breakfasts are easily the healthiest breakfast options and they have authentic Arabic breakfast options. The people who work here are extremely friendly and very helpful. We went out to eat here the other night and they made the best meat pies, cheese pies and zatar pies that I have tasted on this side of the ocean. Definitely try it for yourself and you’ll see.

You might have to do a happy dance after eating their food. It is fantastic. I tried a gyro and came back a few days later because I was craving it. But, this place is more than just gryos. They have ready to eat food for lunch or you can order food that is made fresh from their menu. Also, they have anything and everything you might need in their market and deli.
One of the best places to go for Mediterranean food in Toledo. Plus it is Halal (if that pertains to you). So stop reading and go eat!

Best Lebanese market/​restaurant in town.
I recommend anything from the deli. The hummus is great. And a great selection of good that I have not seen anywhere else in town.

If you are hungry for an authentic homemade dishes such as Bamiah (okra) Molokhiya, kosa (stuffed zucchini) then you need to go to Muna’s Market. Also consider trying their hot out-​of-​the oven Za’atar manakeesh …
Love this place and the friendly staff.

Excellent authentic arabic food and bakery items such as meat, cheese, and zaatar pies! They bake them right in front of you! Always fresh, they also offer deli items and a different lunch special everday, its the perfect home cooked meal. There is a olive bar that im just obsessed with if you love olives and they even have PICKLED LEMONS! Ive never even heard of them before but they’re quite delicious and now im hooked. They also have a grocery and produce section for shopping & a meat market with halal fresh meat everyday! Staff is always so helpful & kind.
