Great local hiking, kayaking, climbing store. Toledo is lucky to have this shop. The staff here are always more then friendly and not the usual uninformed arrogant sport store type. They have frequent crazy sales on seasonal and close out items. They will also order in just about any item you wish. One time I was trying to locate this crazy rare 1 mm rope for my father-​in-​laws kayak building. They told me they would look into it. I figured that is the last I would hear. About a month later I received a voice mail detailing how they called and searched several different resellers and manufactures only to find that the rope type was discontinued. They really went the whole nine yards. They also have started to match any online price!

Beartooth has a good selection of hiking, backpacking and kayaking supplies. If they do not carry what you want they can get it. I do most of my backpacking shopping online, but if I need a few more esbit tabs or a new cap for my nalgene, this is where I go. The staff is always nick, and the level of knowledge varies among the staff.
