Simmons Bond is an awesome place, for a reasonable price. The host, Todd, goes out of his way to make sure your comfort is key. And, he makes an awesome 4– 5 course breakfast!

I have been to a few b and b’s for work travel and usually they are not ideal for business ! However the Simmons Bond is great. You have your own coffee maker, there’s a fridge, breakfast is AMAZING. You feel right at home. The inn keeper is great and very down to earth. The rooms are clean, well-lit, stocked with amenities and the television is even great. One of the best night of sleep I’ve had in awhile, very safe spot. Also location is prime! You can walk wherever you’d like in town!

This was the first time I’ve stayed at a B&B and didn’t quite know what to expect really. Was it going to be like the bed & breakfast on the Gilmore Girls or was it going to be like the«Psycho» house? Well, I’m glad to report I didn’t see Norman Bates at the check-in desk. Actually, there wasn’t even a check in desk. You just ring the doorbell and the innkeeper(Elizabeth) comes out to greet you. I arrived late on Friday night so I didn’t get to check out all the parlor rooms but upon entering, you immediately notice all the effort they made in the little touches in keeping with the Victorian style. I stayed in the largest room called«the Elizabeth». Lots of dark wood and antique furniture dominated by a king sized bed in the middle. It was too large of a room to be considered cozy but I loved my room anyways… made me feel rich… like the villain from Titanic.(by the way, all the rooms can be viewed on the website’s virtual tour) So being a B&B, I excitedly looked forward to breakfast. We started with: Roasted Apples with cinnamon & sugar Variety of toast & bagels w/raspberry jam Egg Soufflé Bangers Lemon pancakes Everything was cooked by the innkeeper(she also has a wedding cake business on the side) and was delicious. The spread was PLENTIFUL and I was so full afterwards I couldn’t eat til that evening. After breakfast, Elizabeth’s father(who also owns the place) gave us a quick tour of the house. He is very knowledgeable in local lore and the history of the house. If you’re in the area, and want a different experience, I definitely recommend this place.
