I ate here years ago with my mother so when I found it again on Unilocal,I wanted to try it again. I was not disappointed. I believe the restaurant has cleaned itself up since the negative review in August. I had half a meatloaf sandwich and a cup of split pea soup. Both were great. My husband chose the salami sandwich. We both order them on the delicious marbled bread, and the meat portions were large. He liked his side of pasta salad; I chose fresh fruit. Staff was friendly and prompt. I would recommend Kloibers.

Went here earlier today with my parents and LOVED it! The service was friendly, incredibly helpful and fast. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was GREAT. We ordered the meatloaf sandwich(great), the firecracker sandwich(great), and the taco salad which was a large helping and also great! We also got two cobblers to go, peach and black berry which were fantastic. You can actually taste the berries in the cobbler and they weren’t too sweet which I really liked. If we are ever in the area again we will be going back!

Okay — I think these were the best croutons I’ve ever had! Great breads, sliced thin, toasted(but not dedicated). Lots of flavor without salty seasoning mix. And the chicken-avocado salad those croutons were on? Equally well done. My wife had ordered this and it was a delight to help her finish it. I had the Titusville Chili, and that was also very well done. The flavors where distinct, and blended well. As much as I liked the chili, I’m glad I only had the small bowl, as that left room for cobbler! So clobbers — AWESOME!!! We tried both the peach & the cherry-chocolate. The peach was above average — well seasoned, and perfectly heated peaches atop house baked crumble-biscuit. The cherry-chocolate cobbler was heaven! Delicious flavorful cherries in a light sauce poured over a rich chocolate brownie. With a quality vanilla ice cream slowly melting, it was an amazing taste sensation. Try it — you’ll like it!

It looks like the place remains closed. Stopped the other day and no signs saying anything? Never was really good. Perhaps sombody else will buy it.

Unexciting food, unexceptionable service. Pretty much sums the whole place up. We did enjoy the old building it is in, but the chairs were rock hard.

***UPDATE*** I just found out this place was recently closed by the health department which validates many of the points in my review. This is truly sad but it sounds like the management of this establishment has totally self-destructed. Kloibler’s has been a Titusville staple for many years and I’ve really enjoyed the food and the value as well as the historic building. Regrettably, this place seems like an establishment you would see on Kitchen Nightmares. It’s kind of a disaster. There are a few issues with this establishment that are getting worse every day… the seating, other than one round-top table, is old and terribly uncomfortable; the stool cushions are nasty; like something you’d find in a dive bar. There have been some upgrades to décor like pictures and wall art, which is welcomed, but there are easy-fix cosmetic issues nearly everywhere that need addressed. Worst of all, the men’s restroom is really, really bad… and it’s been that way for many years, and without any apparent repairs, is getting worse. Small things too; the broken urinal that has been in there for 10+(20+?) years… the faucet which is old and leaky and is missing the screen that one of the pot-heads probably took out 25 years ago to use in their pipe… still hasn’t been repaired. The constant piss smell of the restroom which is somewhat rafter-connected to the next door kitchen. Look, I realize all of these things, even the small ones, take money but many of these issues are decades old and are small fixes. Another annoyance is the rear entrance(where all the parking is so where most people come in) takes you right through a smoking area that is nearly always occupied by a smoking employee of some kind. I don’t want to take away the right/ability of the workers to have a smoke-break; I just question why I have to walk through it with my family every time I want to come in the restaurant. All of the above items I have been sidelining for many years because of their pretty good food. The servers are usually very friendly too even if the other employees seem to be indifferent to my presence(never has anyone said«hello» when I walked in other than a server). Unfortunately, a few weeks ago management raised the prices of their usual specials. And not just a small increase; we’re talking a fairly large increase in prices… this would be actually okay with me if the food wasn’t getting worse tasting and in quality. There is a huge drop in the past year of quality at this place both in food and in overall cleanliness of the establishment. To top that off, the food prices have gone up without us the customer seeing any improvement or upgrades being done to the poor conditions of this restaurant. I seriously hope that someone who works there takes this review as constructive and makes some changes. Is there a money management issue with the owners? I don’t know but something desperately needs to be done to save and re-invent this classic Titusville establishment.

I’ve been to Kloiber’s many times but it’s been years. Today I made a mental note to make a point to dine here more often. This place is old but that’s the charm of it. I love the old time feel of Downtown Titusville. The prices are great. The service is great. The food is pretty good. Today I got a half BLT on wheat bread without mayo and I asked them to add avocado. They were happy to do so. I got it with a side of fresh fruit(red grapes, watermelon, and an orange wedge). I also got a cup of the Famous Titusville Chili with onions and cheese on the side. My mother got a mini salad(that was pretty big… not so mini!). I do love that you gave the option to get whole or half sandwiches and there are different sizes for the salads. I remember the quiche being really good years ago. I wanted to get some but I’ll have to go back and get it next time. I did get some Peach Cobbler, however. It was delicious. You can get it with or without ice cream. I chose without. All in all, a wonderful little place. Definitely go. After you eat, go across the street to this cute little store called Hotpoint Boutique. It’s a woman’s clothing store owned by a friend of mine. You won’t be sorry.

A friend decided to take us out to lunch and raved about this little historical place that had some bomb pasta salad. I thought to myself, «It’s just pasta salad. You can’t really mess that up.» This exceeded all my expectations. We drove up to downtown Titusville, passing all kinds a beautiful historic houses along the river and parked in the back of the building. There’s more parking available in the back anyway. He told me that this place was old and it certainly shows it. I did feel a little weird walking in to the restaurant from the back but I was assured that it was ok. This place had to have been over hundred years old! We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was already packed. We got the last available table downstairs and ordered sweet teas. When the drinks came out, they were in at least 32 oz glasses. Holy crap, they don’t play around here. My friend insisted on the Dijon Pasta Salad but only the half portion because the full portion was humongous. The dish is a house-made pasta salad with ham, turkey, or salami on a bed of lettuce. I ordered the half portion and I went with turkey. Tomatoes and Olives are also available upon request and I just got tomatoes. I love olives but I was watching my salt intake. I also saw«Titusville’s Famous Chili» on the menu. I didn’t know this town had«Famous Chili». How could I pass that up? I ordered a small bowl with cheese and onions on top and crackers on the side. The chili came out first loaded with my toppings. It smelled good so I dug in. The chili wasn’t fantabulous but it was good. I’m used to my chili having more tomatoes and spices in it so I wasn’t terribly impressed. Not long after, our pasta salad came out. WOWREALLY?!? My friend misled me in thinking the half portion was smaller. It was big and piled high. I was afraid to see what the full size portion looked like. Of course I couldn’t eat it all thought that didn’t stop me from trying. That thang was good so I ate half and boxed up the rest. The place is well-known for their cobbler so I took some to-go. I chose the blackberry cobbler and ate it the following day. The filling wasn’t overly sweet like additional sugar was added which made it just right. The biscuit portion tasted very homemade, similar to shortbread which I love. I’d definitely come back again to enjoy more cobbler and other items on their menu. Go give them a try and sit on the 2nd floor!

Ate here with friends because they said it is wonderful, Titusville wonderful. They said afterward that this was an «off» day and usually it is better? But this day the food was, and I don’t say this lightly, terrible! YUK no good! I am one of those people who order a Reuben every time it is on a menu. This one was gross! The sandwich was cold, the sauerkraut was cold bordering on frozen, the 1000 island was on the side and the meat tasted OLD. Worst Reuben I have ever had and I have had a lot of them! It was a tiny thing too for $ 8. Ewww cannot even think about it. My friends ordered two different sandwiches and a cobbler. They both said the food was not as good as usual on this date so maybe just maybe their cook called in sick or something??? Anyway the ice tea was okay, the service was okay and the atmosphere was pretty good.

Somehow they managed to make a sandwich that had almost no flavor. I needed water to wash down the dry bread after eating each half of my turkey club. The only flavor I had in my meal from this eatery was from the pickle and the burnt bacon. Even the chips were pretty flavorless. My father had the same experience with his chicken salad. I’m not a fan of fast food, but we should have gotten Wendy’s instead it would have been a cheaper and better tasting lunch.

Complete home run. Great food, great atmosphere, great service… and great iced tea. We just stumbled across the restaurant while walking downtown during the digital art show. The show was just so-so, but our stop at the Eatery made the trip to Titusville worth the effort.

Service and above average sandwiches in a historic setting I visited this location for a solo business lunch on a Thursday late afternoon around 2:30PM for lunch. This place runs several specials throughout the day and the turkey with brie caught my eye on the small blackboard located outside on the sidewalk by the door. This location is nestled in an old historical building smack dab in the middle of downtown Titusville. There is plenty of parking either on the street or in lots within walking distance. The pricing is reasonable with sandwiches available in half sizes as well. My sandwich was available with a wide assortment of side item choices including fresh fruit pasta salad or chips and a pickle. Initially I asked for fresh fruit and then after contemplating the rest of the menu and realizing that they had cobbler,(yes, yes, I know the name has cobbler in it but sometimes that doesn’t mean anything) I chose chips and a pickle instead. The chips were nice and suitable served up in a decent size bag and were of the«wavy» variety. There was a sizable portion of meat and cheese on this sandwich. I found it to be quite tasty. Although this location is an historical building, it doesn’t feel rundown at all and they’ve done a good job of upgrading the restrooms. There are some interesting photographs on the walls and knickknacks of interest as well. This location also has a decent wireless connection for guests as well. I saw a poster that explained that they had a live performer on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. There is a bar at this location and from what I gathered they only served beer and wine but I may be wrong and it could be a full bar. The service was good and thorough, with the waitress bringing ice tea when needed and providing plenty of opportunity for me to express my concern over any issues I might have had with my meal but not to the point of hovering. I had unsweet tea with lemon and it wasn’t cloudy or chalky which is a plus. It was a bit expensive at $ 2.50 however it is unlimited and it is served and a large glass. They offer several varieties of cobbler including peach, blueberry, blackberry, and Apple with oatmeal. I asked which one I should get as I would like them all and I was told that they rarely have the Apple and that it was worthy of trying. She also suggested that I get it with ice cream which I did. I found the presentation interesting as it seem like the small bowl contained an outer rim of apples in a heavy sugar sauce with what amounted to be an oatmeal muffin in the middle stacked with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. To be honest it wasn’t very good and it felt excessively sweet to me I did attempt to mix the«muffin» in with the rest of the apples, but it still seemed a little odd to me and I also found it to be excessively sweet. Things to note, they do not take American Express and you pay by bringing your ticket up to the bar/counter. Overall I feel like this place would be worthy of a second visit, based on the sandwich itself and the level of service but unfortunately I’m reluctant to try the namesake dessert again if they’re all prepared the same way. I’ll let you know next time I’m in town.

When determining my experience in any restaurant I must consider the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Even the most delicious and well prepared food can taste awful if the service or atmosphere is poor. I have to say that I have had many delicious meals at Kloiber’s. Their jalapeño bread, salads, and soups are usually very good. An area Kloiber’s needs to work on is their service. On my most recent visit, the waitress was rude and even went so far as to blame me for the incorrect order. It was embarrassing. The exchange ruined our meal. I have to rate low for poor service.

I came here on a Friday evening based on reviews on Unilocal and I have to say– Orlando’s Elites didn’t let me down! This place is great! It’s in downtown Titusville on the quaint main road. Great décor, fabulous servers! The spinach quiche was really something to write home about! It was delightful! It came with a side and I chose the pasta salad that everyone is raving about. It was good and not overly creamy, which I appreciated. The portion of the side was big enough to share, so don’t order any extra! I also tried the fish tacos which were very fresh and were exactly what one wants this close to the coast! I finished with some organic chamomile tea(they have a great hot tea menu!) and the blackberry cobbler. I’ll admit that the cobbler was not my favorite– which is odd considering the name of the restaurant… It definitely was fresh, with great chunks of blackberries, but the topping was a bit too biscuity for me and something about it didn’t excite me. It was my birthday and the server brought out ice cream with a candle and comp’d the dessert! The cherry on top of a good meal was the entertainment. R.G. Evans, the Friday night act, was AMAZING. Folksy. Understated. Genuine. Really great, legit folk music from a great singer. He sang all of my favorites quietly in the corner with his guitar. It was a real treat! So much so that we stayed around ordering beers to enjoy the music and great feel of the place :)

I put my pictures on here from my visit. This place was just as good as my fellow Unilocalers said it was!!! I loved the décor and the ambiance! Food was top notch. I had the special of Shepard’s Pie and house salad with homemade croutons!!! It was best Shepard’s Pie I have ever had anywhere!!!

Titusville isn’t exactly know for its restaurants. Basically you have your choice of fast food, greasy pizza, or greasy bbq. However, in a city that needs a seriously foodie overhaul, Kloiber’s is a rare gem and always my first choice for lunch when I make it home to visit my parents. On a recent visit I met an old high school friend and my Dad at Kloiber’s for a quick lunch. The three of us were seated right away and were able to order right away without a problem. I started with a side salad(which was huge and covered with fresh toppings). I could easily order the side salad for the croutons alone — they’re made fresh on site from a variety of day old breads. The bread is actually from another local favorite(Sunrise Bakery). I could pick out whole wheat croutons, marble rye croutons, and regular white. I’m not usually a fan of croutons, but theses, I can get behind. I’m always tempted by the soup, but my hands down favorite item on the menu is the turkey firecracker sandwich It’s a spicy turkey sandwich with jalapenos, fresh tomato slices, and hot sauce served on black bean bread with your choice of a side. I requested the fresh fruit and was impressed with the whole pieces of fresh fruit(grapes, pineapple, orange slices) instead of the typical boring melon. The real reason to go to Kloibers is the cobbler. I mean, they do call it Klobers Cobbler for a reason. We split the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream after our lunch. It was fabulous.
