Oh boy, let me tell you about this one… First, and I acknowledge its just me, I don’t like their pizza. The sauce is too sweet and gives me shits. Everyone else likes them, shits or not, so more power to them. But they ran out of sausage. Really? I don’t know if you know this, but sausage pizza is mostly a Chicago specialty — you can’t even get it in other parts of the country. HOWTHEHELL do you run out of your most popular topping? And then, ANDTHEN… We call them, and they said yes, they have sausage this time, but they won’t deliver anymore today. Should have been our sign. Two hours later, an hour after they told us it would be ready, 40 minutes after they said 20 more minutes, they won’t even respond to our inquiries anymore. And I know why. They still haven’t put it in the oven. Edit: So it turns out a cook walked off mid-shift. The amateur help filling the gap are presumably doing the best they can, given the circumstances. Cut the pizza through, boys, and and cut along the separate toppings. It doesn’t change how I feel, there are other stories where the moral is: their operations are inconsistent.

I live in Oak Lawn and although there is a Palermos right down the street from me(read my review on Palermos Oak Lawn), I was forced to come to Tinley. In the beginning, they were top notch, as good as a pizza could be made, just like the old days. They kept this standard up for years. However, the last 3 times we ordered from there, big time problems with the wait. The first of the 3, I ordered a pizza for pu and was told 30 min. I arrived in 30 min but had to wait another 20 minutes. The second trip I was told pu would be ready in 25 min so I came after 30 min and had to wait an additional 10 min. The last time I went was the final straw. Same order, 1 cheese pizza for pu and I was told 40 min. Hmmm, I wondered, pretty long eta but at least maybe this time they’re giving me a «true» eta. I got their after 42 min and from what I gathered, the pizza hadn’t even begun to be made! I not only waited almost an additional half hour but my worst fears came true. I’ve noticed throughout the years whenever waiting for a pizza in the pu lobby, pizza places always try and«rush» the pizza out of the oven because the customer is waiting. This was no exception as when we got home, the pizza was not fully cooked, way too much white cheese and not the traditional golden brown. I’m guessing they have problems with cooks showing up on time if at all. These 3 incidents coupled with the fact they keep raising their prices way too much(I understand inflation but only in reasonable time frames), once again I’m done with Palermos. Now whenever I’m in Tinley and we want a pizza, it’s Barraccos again, this one in Orland Hills.

Worst Palermos on the planet. The one on 95th is a real pizzeria… the one in Tinley is slinging pizzas inferior to Dominos. I couldn’t believe the pizza I got today. Ordered a medium sausage, pepperoni, mushroom pizza and it was horrible. It was made fresh and was piping hot when I got it home… it just tasted terribly cheap. Worst 21.73 I’ve spent in a while. Skip this craphole.

Customer service is terrible. If the pizza was not the most incredible pizza ever I would not go back. I can not stay away from that sweet sauce no matter how bad customer service is.

Don’t use their online ordering — when I picked up my pizza they double charged me and it took 4 days for reimbursement into my account. The sauce had WAY too much sugar — a crappy way to sweeten sauce — plus for the price there’s way better pizzas than theirs.

I love the dish chicken limone. The first time I ordered it from Palermo’s in Tinley Park it good. The next three times I called, they were out of lemons. The following time the person answering the phone said they were out of lemons but she would go out and buy some so the delivery may take longer.(They were also out of mostacolli noodles for the dinner I tried to order for my daughter.) The next and last time I ordered chicken limone from Palermo’s I opened the container and the chicken smelled rancid and the sauce resembled and tasted nothing like lemon. It did not even come with the same side of potatoes it had the other time and indicated on the menu but instead included spaghetti noodles(I am sure they most likely ran out of potatoes but failed to mention that when I ordered.) I threw the whole dinner out and did not even risk feeding it to our dog. I have to find another place to order from that is consistent with its presentation, has all the ingredients needed to make the meal when you call to order, and does not serve spoiled food.

I don’t know where to start. Let’s just say don’t ever order from this place its a joke. You’re better off eating a dollar banquet TV dinner. I ordered my children’s dinner at 5:30pm it did not Come until after 8:30pm cold and soggy! I called at 7 o’clock to check the status of my order they said it has been ready since 6:30 for pick up when my food was a delivery. They said they can deliver it within the next 30 minutes I stated I do not want food that has SAT there for an hour before it gets to my house I had breaded cauliflower and a pizza they stated it would be ok because it has sat in the oven I had them remake my cauliflower and they told me my food would be on my way at 7 o’clock p.m. I had to call at 7:30 to check on the status of my order again she mentioned the driver kept hanging up on her and was now not answering the phone. My kids had to wait past their bed time on a school night waiting on there dinner for 3 hours. When it showed up at 830pm is was completely cold and my breaded cauliflower was soggy and tasted like fish if we weren’t starving and it was so late I would have never accepted what they call food. When I gave up hope on the driver at 8 o’clock thinking he had quit his job because that’s what I would do if I worked in this joke I asked them just to please remake my pizza and I would pick it up because I cannot wait any longer they told me it was 8 o’clock and they don’t take any orders after that time because they close at 9 it was a complete mess when the driver showed up he looked half crocked and stated they are really messed up there. I’d say so. I would like to see them eat a 3 hour old pizza and fish tasting cauliflower I am completely disgusted the worst part about this is let’s hope my family and I don’t get sick from eating 3 hour old pizza.

I have had the thin crust and it was good however this review is for the thick crusted pan deep dish piza. HORRIBLE. The crust was so thick at 5/8″(like 2 crusts put together) that is was dooey and nearly burned on top. The spinach was on;ly about 5 leaves and meager. It was awefull and we had to throw it out. We live about 20 minutes away and it’s not worth a trip back. I am a pizza lover and hesitate to leave bad reviews but I had to this time.

Customer service is terrible. Always something wrong. Order messed up-out of food-closed early-if they tell you 20 min its 40– no cook in the kitchen. Really? rarely a smooth transaction. They are a joke! I live right behind them so I have given them so many chances but no more. Maybe they will close down and a professional company will move in.

Totally sucks! Used to be good, they are using cheap cheese now, they never get phone order correct, I just got a pepperoni pizza, I’m a vegetarian, big deal, they gave me a credit but now have nothing else to eat. Goodbye Palermo, not going to last in Tinley, I’ll make sure of that!!! I’d put zero stars but it won’t let me!!!

Website says open till 10pm, we placed an order at 8:53, website said 35 minutes, arrived at 9:20pm to pick it up. Upon arrival we are told they closed at 9 and they would not be making any pizzas. No call to say it was canceled — the girl acknowledged she received it. We love Palermos so we keep trying — this was the third strike for us at Tinley and will not be ordering again. We will take the annual trip to 95th or 63rd. If this is a franchise Palermos really needs to train their owners — if this is one of their own, they need to fire some people.

This was the worst experience i have ever had. Called in order they said it would be ready in 35min. Wife gets there to pick it up and the order hasnt even been started. She calls to notify me that they are out of beef for my beef sanwich. I changed my sandwich to a chicken parmigian. To wich she was told that would take another 35min. They did offer to deliver. So the food finally arrived and it was the worst chicken parm ever. The hot wings were cooked in low temp oil so they were oily. Wife got shrimp that was also horrible. I WILLNEVERBEORDERINGFROMHEREAGAIN.

So done with this place. I placed an order at 5:07pm told an hour. Then vcalled at 6:25pm to check my order, was hung up on twice, then told they weren’t taking anymore order, gung up on a third time. Finally got the girl to NOT hang up and without even checking my name and order, informed me 2 hours. WTF is THAT??? NOTMYPROBLEM they cant keep up with their customers and orders. They already charged my card so guess Im screwed. Last damn time I order from Tinley Park store.

The pizza is great. The sauce is sweet just how I like it. The customer service is horrible. Sometimes you are put on hold for what seems like forever. There is no thank you or anything. This is a pickup or delivery only location. No sit down. If you do not mention specials they charge you full price.

This review is for the Tinley Park location. The pizza is GREAT. I would give 5 stars for the food. Some of the best pizza in town. It’s the service that is terrible. Palermo’s please upgrade your phone lines! When you call, the phone lines there are awful. They often can’t hear you, and it’s not my phone line(I’ve ordered from my work line), it’s theirs. Not to mention the people answering sometimes have difficulty understanding spoken English which makes it a frustrating experience. So then I tried ordering online figuring that would be easier… NOPE… I get a phone call a half hour after I placed my order online saying they lost the order online and need to me re-order over the phone. My first order I asked for Thin Crust and got a Deep Dish. This place is delivery or carryout only and perhaps I should just go and pickup my order as the delivery service is slower than molasses. Each time they say«45 minutes to an hour» and three times it’s been 1.5 hours. I live about 1 mile away from their building. Don’t make promises you can’t keep — hire more delivery drivers if the ones you have can’t keep up. You food is good… but your service really needs work.
