We are an older couple and do not eat out very much. I love cooking and eating at home. My husband is a professional chef. We are on a fixed income. So it was unusual for us to stop by Four Brothers Pizza after 9PM tonight. We expected to be treated rudely for coming in so late. After all, running a pizza shop is a grueling business, the temperature was still in the 90s, and the staff would probably groan to see us coming. As far as the pizza, we held no great expectations. Man, were we in for a surprise. Ronda, the owner, was a gracious sales lady. The menu is extensive, and moderately priced(12 inch house pie is $ 11.35) We ordered a pie with half house and half pepperoni. I excused myself to the restroom. Holy moley, it was whistle clean! Back in the dining area I found the same sense of deep cleanliness and order. A TV blared. I wished that it was off. We availed ourselves of the free newspapers at the entryway, and settled in for a long wait, as there was only one cook. I peeked over the counter to see him stretching the dough the old fashioned way, twirling and tossing. No mass produced, commercial, precooked shells here. We were somewhat surprised when our pizza was personally delivered to our table by the owner, 15 minutes later, bubbly hot. Now this is really why I decided to make a Unilocal review. THEPIZZA! The crust: made-from-scratch, a perfected crispy shell with a soft, chewy interior. The secret recipe tomato sauce, a bit creamy, with a soupçon of sweet. The cheese, just stringy enough, without being intrusive. The topping: my side(house) was heaped with bacon, sweet sausage and ham. My hubbie’s side(pepperoni) was liberally dotted with crisp coins of the salty stuff. Then came the miracle… When all of that came together in one steamy hot mouthful there was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Not just flavor, but texture and nuance. There was love, right there in that pizza; love and art and pride. Craft. When I questioned Ronda she beamed. «I want everything to be perfect. I’m even learning to make my own sausage.» Will we go back? You betcha.

Stopped here on a chance for pizza and pasta on the ride home. Our luck was with us! The pizza crust had excellent flavour and was not too thin/not too thick. The sauce had just a hint of sweetness and was just the right amount. The toppings were fresh and very good. My kids loved their pasta(spaghetti and a chicken parm). The guys working were friendly and the service was quick. A definite place to stop by again when we are in the area.

Four Brother’s pizza really deserves five stars for using quality ingredients. The crust and sauce are both stellar, but I can’t get over how wonderful it was to taste quality pepperoni on a standard store/takeout pie. Most places seem to think they can get away with whatever is cheapest especially for ingredients like pepperoni that can be pricey, but it seems Four Brother’s has great interest in making a great tasting pizza!(They have to be with T-Hop right down the street). We’ll defiantly be back here.

Four Brothers Pizza of Tilton opened recently next door to Dunkin Donuts(same building), just east of Dairy Queen. Formerly Constantly Pizza and now under new ownership, the Four Brothers Pizza is very casual which is an order at the counter place with open kitchen area and there is ample seating for eating in. There’s also a TV mounted on the wall. This pizzeria serves up Italian style pizzas(12″ &18″), calzones, pasta plates, subs, burgers, chicken fingers, steak tips, fried haddock, salads, appetizers(fries, rings, wings, garlic bread, poppers, mozz sticks, pizza muffins), desserts(dessert pizza, cannolis, cheesecake), and Coke products. A kids menu is offered. Pizza slices available until 4PM. Several coupon specials are offered on the menu. I stopped in here very recently on a Tuesday evening. I decided to get the Special #8 Tuesday Special: Buy Any Lg Pizza & Get 1−2LT Soda FREE and ordered an 18″ Grilled Chicken Pizza($ 11.25 plus tax) with the free 2-LT Diet Coke. The pizza was ready to go in about 20 minutes. This Italian style pizza was surprisingly excellent! The thin crust was firm on the outside dusted with flour on the edges and bottom with a soft moist dough texture inside, spot on! The pizza was topped with the right amount of zesty tomato sauce, plenty of cheese and slices of grilled chicken, which was not greasy and very tasty to eat! The crust was a bit softer towards the center from the weight of the generous toppings. I would definitely recommend 4 Brothers Pizza for great Italian style pizza! * Not affiliated with the Four Brothers Pizza restaurants in NY(Hudson Valley), MA(Berkshires), and CT, which serve Greek style pizza. 10% Senior Citizen Discount offered here FREEDELIVERY($ 15 min)
