Hands down best breakfast burrito in town. Get the sausage breakfast burrito and don’t forget the verde salsa and avocado sauce. You won’t be disappointed.

We visit this resturant at least 2 times a month. My kids love Taco Tuesdays! Authentic Mexican food with great flavors, fresh salsa bar, beer.

Fantastic authentic tacos! Had a carne asana and a carnitas taco! Both delicious! Also would recommend the tamales!

Bland. I will have to agree with many other visitors. I came to this spot with an open mind, but I also had a mediocre experience. I’ve tasted better tacos at Taco Trucks in Aloha, OR than this spot. Sure, they have lots of choices of meats & cuts. Sure, taco Tuesday is quite the attraction, all tacos $ 1, except the carne asana at a measly $ 1.25. But… I had to drown my tacos in lime, salsa & the avocado sauce to make it somewhat delicious. I got 5 different kinds on this Taco Tuesday, and I wasn’t wowed by any of them. Also spent a good amount on side of fries, side of chips, bean burrito kids meal, mango white wine smoothie(6.00) & virgin strawberry smoothie(3.50) for our daughter. For a Taco Tuesday cheap night, we still ended up paying $ 30 plus tip on very blah food. If you need to take a newbie to taste some Mexican taqueria cuisine, then go here. The spices aren’t overwhelming & the food looks good. The best thing we had was sharing our daughter’s bean & cheese burrito. Yes, the chips & fries were good, but pretty pricey for sides. If you’re looking for cheap $ 1.25 menu, I honestly would rather go to Taco Bell down the street. Sure, this place might have real meat, but it tastes like chewing rubber.

It’s home style, so good. Nothing fancy, but nothing fancy needed. It’s like someones abuelita made you breakfast. Great prices too.

Hubby stopped by after a dentist appointment in King City, to pick up some lunch. The wait in the drive thru was pretty long, like 10 minutes long. They did get our order correct, points for that. I like my taco’s crispy and with ground beef, no lettuce. My taco’s were so bland, that seemed to be the vibe of the entire meal, bland bland bland. My taco’s were falling apart from moisture and so very bland. I tried all the sauces, including the green chili sauce and it was more of the same, where is the spice or flavor. Maybe I have ruined my taste buds from so many years of eating super spicy food, but I seriously was not impressed. I just had taco’s for lunch yesterday, so I am a lover of Mexican food, but I am also picky about it. Hubby got the traditional street taco’s and remarked they were just OK, not anything he would order again. The Taquito’s were more of the same, fairly flavorless, but nice and crispy. The guacamole that came with the Taquito’s was also bland, no hint of spice, garlic or anything else. They are inexpensive, which may be a plus for some, but I would rather pay more for tasty food, I will stick with the best Mexican drive thru around, and that would be Don Chilito’s, no comparison!

Taco Del Sol attracted my attention with several colorful flags flapping in the wind in front of their parking lot. I was in the mood for some tacos anyway so I stopped in. Right away, I noticed their low prices: $ 1.25 for almost all tacos, except fish, tripe, and tongue tacos were $ 1.50. Nice! I ordered three kinds: carne asada, pastor, and fish. The carne asada was flavorful but just a tad bit chewy. The pastor had a «tingly» spiciness to it. Many pastor recipes contain pineapple which sort of «cuts» the spiciness and this didn’t have it. This was one of the spicier pastors I’ve had. Fish had a light coating and was fried crispy. Everything was OK, but nothing special.. .however, with those low prices, I have no complaints. Overall, Taco Del Sol’s tacos were about average for a taqueria.

We weren’t so sure about this place at first but we’ve been here a few times and enjoyed it each time. They aren’t super speedy but the food is good. Our favorite is the burrito del sol with Carne asada.

Walked in and placed a to go order. The person taking then order was slow and couldn’t figure out how to out the order in the computer. The food took more than 15 minutes to come out and then I only received half of my order. I ordered a taco plate with chorizo, pastor and fish tacos. The fish taco was inedible from being so overly cooked. The pastor was just alright but not something I’d order again. The chorizo was good but the beans and rice were bland and basic. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who actually likes Mexican food.

Yes, I am a fan. Taco Del Sol is a great place to get your Mexican kick satisfied. I always feel good when I am one of the few ‘white guys’ in a Mexican restaurant. I know it is good, if those who know good from bad Mexican food, frequent the establishment. TDS is the place to go for breakfast burritos. A size of a small dog, or child, with egg, cheese and choice of meat, for less than $ 5…what more can you ask for? And their green avocado sauce is the bomb! I try to score as much as I can, but they do like to scrimp on handing it out. They also have a pepper bar, with the hot sauces and such to compliment your dish. Prices are good. Portions are plentiful. Service is friendly and efficient. And the place is clean and neat. And where else can you get your Mexican soap opera fix? TDS, that’s where.

Food was cold, dry, and cheap. I understand its a low dollar location but the food was terrible. The only fresh ingredient was the cilantro, which was slightly crunchy. Ordered the fish tacos, and I’m not sure what was on it was even fish. Disappointing. Went to order and I said«Can I please get the fish tacos» and the server stared at me like I was speaking an unknown language… flustered, I repeated myself and same look, absolute silence on his part. Finally, he asked«how many?» So make sure you know what you’re ordering or they won’t talk to you I guess.

First time here, mostly because it has a drive-thru and I was craving Mexican food but wanted it quickly. I bought four tacos: fish, lengua(tongue), al pastor, and carnitas, a side of guacamole, and a horchata. Total was eight-something. The fish wasn’t seasoned at all and dry. The al pastor marinade tasted strange, like it was a pre-made sauce base clinging to the outside, not a full-on deep-marinated-in-chili quality to the pork, it actually tasted like a tomato base with hot sauce and a bit of sugar. The carnitas lacked the crispy, deep golden brown caramelization that good carnitas has, nor was it seasoned very well. Half of the carnitas taco was big chunks of fat that I had to spit out. The lengua was good — moist and juicy, seasoned okay. The guacamole was also very good and fresh — huge pieces of avocado. The guacamole was the best thing I ordered by far. Needless to say I’ll continue my search, along with others, for good Mexican in Portland. As a native Arizonan, perhaps I’m picky, but I know good Mexican food and this wasn’t it. Thankfully I work in Woodburn where excellent Mexican food does exist and I can get my fix.

Great tacos at very fair prices, $ 1 each on tacos Tuesdays and I think just $ 1.25 regularly. Good fresh made guac is available that goes nicely with the fresh made tortilla chips. I haven’t tried much else here but I do keep coming back for the tacos, although they have a huge menu for those that are not tacos obsessed.

The place looks nice and clean, the workers are cordial, and the music playing is great and sets the mood for Mexican food, dancing, and sombreros! … oh! el paraíso… As you are living the dream of a Mexican beach, you are abruptly awaken up with a Meh-food flavor. I ordered the Sopes and my husband got the steak plate. The Free salad and peppers were not covered and at room temperature, putting in question their hygiene & freshness. The only great thing is that they have a drive-thru & they are open late. And if you are driving thru, you don’t get the whole in-house experience. The place was empty on a Friday night. Will I ever go there again? No. My palate was not impressed, going to Taco Bell maybe be cheaper. For real Mexican food go accross the street.

One of my all time favorite taco spots! The asada(steak) tacos are to die for and only $ 1.25 each! They have a little station with fresh toppings and the sauces are all amazing. The avocado salsa is my favorite by far! Today I tried the pork tamale and it was so good! My boyfriend loves the rice and beans as his side and I always get fries as my side. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is all very nice every time we go. Try this place out you won’t regret it :)

Is it morning? No? Oh, too bad for you. If it were morning, you could drive over to Taco Del Sol and get yourself a breakfast burrito. I guess you’ll just have to wait. After an unfortunate food poisoning experience I had at another restaurant, I had stayed away from BBs for a while. You can only go so long, you know. I had an early morning appointment out in the Tigard area and when I was done, Unilocal guided me over to Taco Del Sol. There were a few people eating breakfast, but no line so my wait wasn’t too long. The employees were nice and didn’t roll their eyes at my ridiculous requests like no egg on one of them, add beans to two of them(but not the one that doesn’t have egg). Seriously, I’m like Seinfeld’s Elaine when it comes to ordering burritos for my family and we usually end up getting one of them wrong. That wasn’t the case here, though. It was a to-go order. They labeled each one, included containers of salsa and were pretty nice. The burritos were just what I had been missing. They were pretty big, like cut it in half and eat half now/half later big. Realistically, I don’t know how often we’ll be back, though, but it’s only because I’m too lazy to drive out to Tigard for this. Maybe if I was already on this side of town. ..

As a «fast food» taco joint place goes — this place beats taco bell and others hands down. You order, sit and they bring it out to you. Made to order, tasty and they offer three types of sauces. They have yummy breakfast burritos as well. Tuesdays is «taco Tuesday» .99 for one. It’s worth a stop it and then you’ll get sucked in. Enjoy.

yes, one of my favorite taqueiras in the Portland metro area. super authentic, super good food. they have GIANT portions. even their tacos have more meat on them then pretty much anywhere else in the area. worth a visit, likely a top 10 mexican restaurant in the city. however, don’t expect too much from the interior it looks like it used to be a wendys.
