Best BBQ on I75. Stopped in on our way down to tifton for a day trip to site see. Your welcomed in the door by passing a display of different deserts on your way to be seated. The chopped BBQ platter was awesome. Fried okra and fries were the best.

4 stars for the restaurant overall but 5 stars simply for the wings! The wings here are some of the best wings I’ve ever had. They are a hidden gem on the menu being found in the appetizer section. The wings are smoked and then tossed in a barbecue sauce that is to die for! Make sure you get them spicy, the heat level is very mild but very tasty. If you go to Pit Stop, wings is the way to go!

Great stop! We found the place on Unilocal traveling back to Atlanta from Naples. We will definitely go back on future road trips. I had the ribs and my son had the smoked chicken plate. Plenty of food — we got a to go box and that was at lunch. We will save room next time for the home made desserts!

This is our go to place when traveling from Archer to Atlanta, in fact we usually plan to make it here right after the lunch crowd. Service is consistently fast, though some servers are not as friendly as others. Proportions are large so there are always leftovers and IMHO they have the best beans and ribs in the south. Other sides include great fries, potato salad, and cold slaw. Even the sweet tea is great.

Great place to stop on the way to Florida. Can’t miss the flags and watch out for the parking. Got to love a place that is so busy they park on the street. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The wings were crunchy and sweet. The BBQ was yummy. Their slogan is the local eat here and the travelers will be back! We will definitely return.

The ribs were baked not smoked. Definitely not a bbq place. Maybe a Golden Corral type baked rib at best. On a plus note the bbq sauce was pretty good.

I have to admit after several subpar reviews I was a bit skeptical to stop here on our way back from Florida. I was even a bit more worried when the restaurant was nearly empty but we did go out a down time during midday. Once my brunswick stew was brought out however, I knew we had chosen wisely. The stew was seasoned perfectly and just spicy enough to add that little extra kick. Then the entrees came out. Wow. Both my friend and I had the chopped pork and half chicken combos. The portions were crazy huge, the price ridiculously cheap, and the quality phenomenal. The normal bbq sauce was a bit sweet, the hot bbq pretty spicy, but combined they were perfect. I had the beans also which were more than adequate. The potato sticks as they call them(potato wedges) were homemade and exceptional! Maybe the best I’ve ever had. Seems they always offer a drink togo which is a nice touch to the already friendly and efficient service. Would give a 4.5 but considering all the positives, this place was more a 5 than a 4 ! Would definitely frequent whenever I’m in the area.

very tasty with really good service! not the best barbecue I’ve ever had, but way better than average, especially for the price. we really enjoyed the brunswick stew and chopped pork sandwich. hot sauce was fantastic! definitely a very good value and worth the stop if you’re in the area.

Driving from Florida we looked up various places to eat and we landed at Pit Stop BBQ Grill. It was a good stop! I got the wings, my wife got the combo platter with chicken and beef and my daughter got the burger. Good food and very fresh. The waitress was super nice! This will be another stop added to our list when we travel. It totally beats stopping for fast food.

Surprise! We would never have thought to stop at this place flying by on I75, but boy am I glad we did. Right off the highway is this fantastic BBQ restaurant, complete with the southern charm you’d expect from Georgia. The staff was awesome… polite and forward thinking. My wife likes to take an iced tea to go and the waitress suggested it before we did. Plus one point! I ordered the sliced beef sandwich. The meat was tender, smokey and very flavorful. I could bite right through the sandwich without resistance. One of the highlights was the fried okra. Our 7 year old is a connoisseur and deemed it «one of the best he’s ever had». The only downside was the temperature. Way to cold. Might be kept that way to accommodate a later crowded room, but at lunch it seemed like a refrigerator. If you’re planning a road trip that takes you through Tifton, GA on I75, this is a great stopping point.

Food was ok. Servers were friendly. Tea was great. definitely not a place to stop if you are on a schedule. Only about 4 people in the restaurant when we arrived. Drinks took about 10 minutes to get. Food took another 20 – 25 minutes. Prices were reasonable but nothing really outstanding about the food. Our group had a variety [chicken, pork, beef, and a burger] meats were moist but nothing really wowed us. Server delivered our food an almost immediately asked if we wanted drinks to go. Biggest downside to the food was that every plate included a pickle spear. Its ok if you like pickles, we do not. The juice from the pickles seeps into the surrounding foods. Overall, if you have time to spare, its an okay place to stop. I will not be returning to this one in any of my future travels.

Pretty good little bbq place. Stopped in on our way home from Florida. Had the chicken salad-it was alright-there was enough for two sandwiches! Waitress was very nice. Great service!

Great pit stop off the highway! Took food to go & it was great! The BBQ sandwich was the best! The chicken was also very good. The ribs fell off the bone but the chicken wings & turkey sandwich weren’t so good. The BBQ sauce was wonderful!

We stopped by on our return trip to Atlanta. Everything was great! The staff was courteous and prompt. The restaurant was clean. We both had chopped pork sandwiches which were actually pulled pork, not chopped but with good smoked flavor. The cole slaw was fresh and crispy and the cob of corn was fresh instead of the usual frozen coblet. We definitely will stop by for lunch on our next road trip.

Ribs, wow! Their Quarter Rack is big enough for three people. They were falling-off-the-bone tender. They are at I-75, exit 63B. On the SW corner, I think. Four and a half stars.

Best BBQ south of the Mason-Dixon Line! Had the pork platter and EEG platter with their baked beans and potato salad, and hubs had some pecan pie for dessert. YUM! This is must stop when you’re near Tifton on I-75!

Now I’m not a fan of BBQ but my husband is and found this place on his way home over a year ago. So he had to take me on our way back from our vacation. First was the drinks and I downed lots of their wonderful sweet tea!!! I just wanted a hamburger but he insisted I get ribs. So I did and I was not disappointed. Fall off the bone perfect!!! So so good! I was so surprised and it was a very happy surprise! Its so hard to find good ribs. The okra was very very good and the potato wedges were huge! So tasty too!!! The dip sauce with them was my favorite part! If you go order the ribs! You will not be disappointed!!!

Stopped in here for dinner on the way home. The hostess promptly seated us and we were served with our drinks. My wife had the brunswick stew(outstanding-had a smoky bbq taste to it) and I had the chili(only served during the fall and winter months). It also had a smoky taste to it as well. Definitely good. My wife then had the BBQ sandwich with fried okra and cole slaw. The pork was very moist, the okra was fresh not frozen, and the cole slaw was okay. My wife is a sweet tea connoisseur. She claims this is some of the best sweet tea she has every had. She actually took a glass to go. I had the shredded bbq pork with cole slaw and fries. The recommended hot sauce was«semi hot». The pork was moist and went down easy. I took half of the plate home for another meal.(The chili did me in). My wife finished all of hers. Would I go back: yes.

During our drive down to the deep south for a business trip, three of my co-workers and I stopped for lunch at Pit Stop Bar-B-Que & Grill. One of them had dined here before and told us they had very good BBQ, so we were eager to try it. We arrived around 1 pm on a Thursday afternoon, and we were seated soon after we walked in. I was excited to see that they had lunch specials(11 am to 2 pm), so I didn’t even bother to look at their full menu. I ordered the Sliced Beef Plate with Cream Corn and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. My co-workers also ordered off the lunch menu. Each of the lunch specials come with your choice of two sides and a dinner roll. Not long after we ordered, we got our food! Our server asked if we wanted any spicy BBQ sauce, and she brought some for each of us. Although I initially didn’t even think to ask for hot sauce, I’m glad she offered it and brought it over. It had a slight heat to it that was a great addition to the BBQ. * Sliced Beef Plate(Lunch Special, $ 6.99) — The sliced beef was fairly tender and good, but I’m not sure if I can say that it was the best I had. Additionally, the mashed potatoes and gravy was good. I guess it’s hard to mess that one up. However, my favorite thing about my entire meal was the cream corn. WOW. That was delicious! Its slightly sweet flavor was great, and its creamy texture was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better side. =) Overall, Pit Stop Bar-B-Que & Grill gets 3.5 stars for their good BBQ and sides as well as their friendly service. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but there were several other tables of customers. My co-workers and I were pleased with the service and the efficiency of our server getting our separate checks to us. I would recommend Pit Stop to someone if it’s on their way to their intended destination, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to return. [Review 317 of 366]
