Just checked out this location for a quick lunch. The food was obviously very good and as consistent as always. One thing stood out to me though, the service. It was more than accommodating, and everyone working was incredibly friendly. They seemed to have such a good camaraderie in the workplace, they were training a new employee and were always lifting him up and praising him for the good work he was putting in. The inside seemed to have a very different décor than what I usually experience when eating at Jersey Mike’s. It felt like I was actually on the jersey shore in a cool surf-style spot. I will definitely be returning to this location, and if you live in the area, I highly recommend that you stop by as well!

I got a veggie wrap which was just a load of slop. Tired limp lettuce and a load of unmelted cheese. Things feel fresher at subway. This place is expensive and the sandwiches are below average at best.

Let’s be honest here, Jersey Mike produce at best a 3 star sandwiches. It’s not like they’re throwing down Bay Cities, Ike’s, or even Dan’s style of subs. This review isn’t even about the food, but more about the positive customer service they provided. I went in here expecting to get my average sandwich, but also let’s take a minute to acknowledge the lack of good open face establishments. Anyways, I’m pretty much limited to two items on their menu, good for me. Upon entering we were promptly greeted and asked what we would like to consume. So ordered up the number 14(veggie). The girl knew what was up and asked if we’d like the spinning thing cleaned. She proceeded to clean the carcass off the said spinning thing and followed up with slicing some fresh provolone. She passed off the sub to the next employee who began to lace the sandwich with the limited produce they offer. We interacted with about 4 to 5 employees; they were all pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work environment. 5.0 — Employees. Will return at some point, just wanted to give props to the customer service. 3.0 — Sandwich

This place is awesome if you’re looking for a samich. The employees are all very friendly all the time. You can tell Jersey Mike’s makes a point to treat every customer with great customer service. I have been to the one in Newbury Park, and they are just as nice. JM’s is pretty much subway to the next level. Yeah they don’t have as many toppings or breads to pick from, and you’re going to end up paying a little more probably. But I feel that the quality that JM’s brings to the table makes up for that. They actually slice the meat and cheese after you order it! If you haven’t had JM and are wondering give it a chance. My favorite is the #9 turkey, roast beef, bacon. The reward program they have is awesome too.

It’s a sandwich shop people, you wait in line, order your food and eat it. Yes, it gets busy at lunch and might take you 15 minutes to get in and out. Parking is not the best. But the people who work here always have a smile and give you what you want. I’ve never had a bad experience, and it’s very consistent.

Do not come to this place when it’s busy. They have about 5 people working there and they all don’t communicate with each other. I got there at 6:35 and was third in line and I didn’t get out with my sandwich until 6:55 which made me late to work. Also, when I got to my car they had given me the wrong sandwich. They could obviously see I peeved and all they could say was I’m sorry about that.

I am not sure what it is with location but every time I come I don’t offer the student discount — even when I have my ID hanging from my neck but anyone in front or behind me gets offered the discount. They get 2(½) stars just because the last person to helped me was nice about asking me how I wanted my sandwich — but like some of the reviews here the meat ratio to the price is rather depressing. Others than that — I think my last time here at the spot. I wish I had taken a pic of the sandwich.

This outlet of Jersey Mike’s is in a shopping center with Vons and McDonald’s at the corner of Janss Road and Moorpark Road. We came in at nearly 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon for a submarine sandwich. Unfortunately for us, the small store was PACKED(post-soccer families). Because there is one meat slicer, it takes a long time to get through the line, despite the number of staff on duty(all of whom were polite). There are three booths(2×4 and 1×2) and three tables(2×6 and 1×4) inside and a few tables(4 or so per) on the patio. They have a soda machine and three televisions packed into the little shop. We ordered the GIANT #13, which is their classic Italian submarine sandwich. This is the second one that I have had in as many weeks but in a different location. This locations is REALLYCHINTZY with the meat. Seriously, for a $ 13 sandwich, you should have A LOT of meat. Not a mere 4 oz. on a 13″ sandwich. We had the rosemary-parmesan bread which was topped with a layer of provolone cheese and then slices of prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni(we got double pepperoni and omitted the boiled ham). Then, we topped the sandwich with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, onions, oregano, brown mustard and pepperocini. Because there was SO little meat, I could not eat the bottom half of the bread(you couldn’t even taste the pathetically small amount of meat with this amount of bread). Such a shame, because the bread was really good — very fresh, crusty outside and soft inside — and the veggies are very fresh too. But, you need to MEAT up this sandwich or charge WAY less. I have no problem paying top dollar for a premium sandwich but don’t CHEAT me. Two giant subs, two regular subs, four chips and two drinks equals $ 58+. Considering we probably had 1 lb. or so of meat between all four sandwiches, we felt pretty ripped off. Oh well, when you are starving and not from the area, your choices are limited. I will not come back to this Jersey Mike’s, and I recommend that you avoid it too.

Was there yesterday during the lunchtime rush. Very ineffecient and somewhat disorganized even with the supervisor standing behind the«assembly line». They got a few things wrong on my order and the order of several people in line ahead of me. Writing things down perhaps spearheaded by the supervisor when more than 4 ppl are in line would be more helpful.

Typically I love Jersey Mikes! I’m a huge fan & seek them out everywhere I go. Unfortunately this location is a total dive. The staff was totally disorganized & the restaurant was anything but clean & tidy. Looked as if, a bunch of high school kids with no managerial guidance, were trying to hold down the fort. Will not return to this establishment even if they paid me to come back

I love how they cut the bread and slice the meats and cheeses to order. Seeing your sandwich come to life in front of you is a fun experience and you’re sure to get it your way! The giant subs feed two people easily. My favorite thing to put on the sandwich is the banana peppers cause they give it this tang that you just can’t describe! It’s a nice healthy lunch stop, fast and reasonably priced.

Had the«hint of tuna» sub. At the prices Jersey Mike charges, if he served a sub that was bread, lettuce, tomato and tuna essence, in Jersey, he’d be sleeping with the tuna.

Always a courteous and friendly staff at this location. It’s small location, but I usually take it to go. Their prices are a little high, but I think they are worth it. Definitely tastes like an authentic sub from Jersey… where I grew up. I usually go with a 13 mikes way or a 17 with cherry peppers.

This is a very good Mike’s. I say that because some of them slip down in quality after they’ve been open for a while; they don’t greet you in a friendly manner, the sandwich making gets sloppy, they ask multiple times what you want on your sandwich, etc. This one appears to be recently opened and maybe that’s why its so good, lets hope not. Its a shame when these stores start out really cool and slide down to meritocracy. A big part of the fun is when the employees really get into making your experience a memorable one. Anyway, people are very friendly here, sandwiches are great.

Jersey Mike’s is a great alternative to other chain sandwich shops like Subway and Quizno’s. They have numerous combinations of sandwiches, and slice the meat and cheese right there in front of you. Though it’s a chain, there’s really a pleasant, neighborhood quality to Jersey Mike’s. You won’t find a five-dollar-footlong here. The«giant» sandwiches, which come in at over 12″ will run you about $ 10, and regulars are in the $ 7 range. But the quality of the ingredients is heads and shoulders above the other chains, and you’re usually able to find a coupon online to help out with the price. In this particular location, it’s everything you’d want in a chain sandwich shop: it’s clean, it’s stocked and it’s staffed. And I mean staffed. It’s not uncommon to walk in and see up to seven employees, all busy with various tasks. They are all friendly, and on more than three occasions, I’ve ended up in conversations with more than one employee at the same time. They seem engaged and interested in their work, which for the typical high-school or college-aged sandwich shop employee isn’t easy. From time to time, you’ll notice a little distraction — maybe the girl making your sandwich is distracted by a date from the night before, maybe the guy who’s slicing the meat is shouting over you to his friends seated on the other side of the restaurant. But nothing is unforgivable, and the employees’ general attentiveness forgives any moments of distraction. The employees also appreciate tips. I routinely use coupons at this location, and when I do, I give a larger tip to compensate for the free sandwich I got. I always get an enthusiastic«thank you» and for awhile were even offering free cookies as a thanks for the tip. The food is consistently good, and employees will take the time to explain things to you if you don’t know what it is — which really seems to happen only when a customer asks«what’s in the red relish?» By the way, have the relish — it’s both spicy and sweet and a good addition to any sandwich. Now, serious business here: a one-star deduction has been made for forgetting the bacon on my Sub Club in my last visit. Coincidentally, I’d ordered the same sandwich at a different Jersey Mike’s location and they nearly forgot the bacon on that one as well. There must be some disconnect in the process of making the sandwich and adding the bacon. Or maybe they’re just hoping you’ll forget so they can enjoy your sweet, sweet bacon. Either way, it’s a one-star deduction. This seems unfair, but if it makes you feel better, lump my other minor complaints into the one-star deduction. Also, if you’re looking for a complaint: the parking is terrible. The location is nestled back-to-back with a busy Starbucks, and the 20-or-so parking spots that wrap around the building are rarely open(probably from all of the employees in the nearby businesses). I’ve never been able to park in my first lap around the building. But this is admittedly, not a huge problem and certainly not the fault of any of the employees. Overall, this Jersey Mike’s location is wonderful. It’s well-staffed, clean, bright and pleasant. They rarely flub an order, and the employees seem happy. I have no reason to take my business elsewhere, even after moving a couple of miles out of the neighborhood.

Jersey Mike’s is the new fad in Subs. Restaurants seem to have 10 year pockets of success. These guys have put Quizno’s and SubWay on the side lines. Quizno’s use to rock until they downgraded the quality of their ingredients, approached $ 10 for a footlong and stopped toasting the bread. Subway is the nastiest sandwich on the planet in my opinion but if flocks in dozens of patrons because of the LOW pricing. Jersey Mikes is not the cheapest sub on the block but it’s good eats. They’ve been able to snake some sub market share for now!

Like: — friendly staff happy to talk about their products and history — staff asks if you want it Mike’s way, which is nice because it creates a sense of connection with the founder’s taste and how it all started. — next door to Starbucks, which offers wifi, making it a nice place to blog from the patio. — cheese is sliced in front of you — meat is sliced in front of you Dislike: — Nothing. I’ve been swinging in here a lot lately, as it’s right down the street from Los Robles hospital. Great alternative to McDonalds, which is right next door.
