Today I had a pair of Art-​Craft Art Rim Clubman sunglasses broken on the metal bridge and I was in despair as I could find no frame replacements in my size available on the internet. My wife remembered using Gabe’s some dozen years ago and suggested I give him a try. Gabe took a look at the glasses, said he could have them welded back together and straightened out — and I could pick them up in an HOUR! An hour later, my glasses were restored to good as new and for a VERY reasonable cost. They even threw in a hardshell case (which could have protected my glasses if I’d just used one ahead of time). Gabe’s Lab is, hands down, the best anywhere!

I have spoken with several «frame repair» places in Orange County, Ventura County, and in Northern California. All were either overpriced (cheaper to get new glasses) or unable to repair my «unfixable» glasses. I went in to Gabe’s today and spent less than expected, waited 15 minutes, and played with two cute dogs. The result? My hopeless glasses were good as new! Awesome. Super happy with the service and quality. Will definitely recommend to others! Thank you!

I thought the frames I have had forever, and can’t be replaced, were gone after both arms broke off. It was ugly. But Dana did her magic, and they’re as good as new. And in less than a half-​hour. And at a great price. What more is there?

I had two pairs of high end sunglasses repaired (nose pieces replaced on both and multiple screws and nuts fixed) for $ 35. So spend $ 35 to fix or spend $ 300 to replace 2 pairs of glasses. Seems like if you care about money, the decision is a no-​brainer. This place is a great resource here for us Thousand Oaks residents. If you’re looking to get some glasses fixed, this is the place to get it done. Also there are pair of very friendly Shih Tzus there to entertain you while you wait, which was about 5 minutes for me.

had a broken pair of Chanel glasses and was really disappointed that the eye doctor where i purchased them couldn’t repair them, and suggested that i buy a new pair of frames and lenses (since i’m not eligible through insurance, presently). i found gabe’s and he repaired the arm in less than $ 10 and saved me about $ 700! so happy, and really quick. definitely would recommend and will go back.

Great experience! I had some bad luck with a rather expensive pair of sunglasses. I came in on Monday morning and the young lady at the front desk took care of me faster than I could have expected. She fixed my glasses with ease. And it only cost me $ 10! I’m definitely coming back here for any optic needs.

Does an excellent job in a short amount of time for a reasonable price. If your glasses are broken take them here before looking for a new pair. You won’t regret it.

I had a pair of glasses with a broken hinge. I had brought them to Lenscrafters where I was told that they were irreparably broken and that my only option was to buy brand new frames and lenses. I went to Gabe’s as a last resort, but should have gone at the beginning. My hinge was replaced in 10 minutes while I sat there for $ 45. Don’t give up on a pair of glasses if some salesperson tells you to give up and buy a new pair, bring them to Gabe’s instead.

I took in some glasses I got at Ross for about $ 10 because a small screw came out. I couldn’t screw it in without a small screw and screwdriver. I came here see how much it would be to get a new screw because I liked these glasses. When I went in I talked to a girl at the front desk and she gave my glasses to someone who could fix them. In a matter of less than five minutes a man gave me back my glasses and said just take them to the front and pay for the repair. When the girl told me it would be $ 15 I told her thats more than I paid for the glasses. She then asked if I wanted them to take out the screw and give them back. I said if thats the case just keep them. And they did! I walked out confused about why they would keep my glasses and then went to Ross and bought a brand new pair for $ 10.

David is the best! I thought my only pair of glasses was unrepairable, and really needed them for a concert that night. Instead going to overpriced «eye glasses in an hour» place, he was able to fix them in about 15 minutes. He is a real pro!
