I agree with the other one-​star-​reviewers: BEWARE OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS! I also was asked if I wanted to receive a free copy of Parents magazine back when I was pregnant. I EXPLICITLY asked the girl if I was signimg up for any future issues by saying yes. She assured me this was not the case. Long story short, all of the sudden I started receiving monthly issues of the magazine as well as several invoices and demanding letters to pay my subscription. I was pregnant, hormonal and pissed — it took me several phone calls to get things straight and cancel the subscription I never even made!
On another note, most of the clothing is of poor quality and way overpriced. Thanks for taking advantage of pregnant and breastfeeding women who are trying to find a wardrobe that works…
I will give a second star because there isn’t much too chose from when it comes to halfway affordable maternity and nursing wear and some of the basics and dresses are pretty and survive a few washes.

Problem number one, the merchandise is cheaply made and falls apart very quickly. No wonder they only have a 30 day return policy. Almost every item I have purchased, especially from the motherhood maternity line, has either shrunk or fallen apart after only one or two washings. If you have to stay away from items with buttons or snaps what’s the point!
Problem number two, when you go back to return your cheaply made defective merchandise, the store clerks are less than helpful. I was given the gift of a jacket. Once I washed it a month or two after it was purchased for me, the item shrunk by a full size making it not nearly the cozy jacket I had once loved. (By the way one of the snaps fell off within a week). I called the store to report the problem and was told once I my gift giving aunt gave me her receipt, the store would give me a store credit so I could purchase another jacket online. When I went into the store I was told that the clerk I spoke to was wrong and that I would have to find something that day, to get in exchange for my jacket… Guess what? No jackets in the store, not one. Their response… sorry this is all we can offer you. Terrible products and terrible customer service. From now on I’m sticking to Macys and Target, at least they stand behind the products they sell.

So the girl who helped me was great. Can’t recall her name, but she was very sweet. When i decided to purchase a dress i had tried on, i paid with cash. She asked if i wanted a free issue of parents magazine & i said sure. She proceeded to say that since i was paying with cash, i wouldn’t be charged any other fees in the future. All i gave her was my email & my cell phone number & i don’t believe i even signed any paper or left an e-​signature.
She called me the week of my baby shower to wish me well & let me know about some offers & sales they were having in the store so i thought that was really nice of them. But a few days later, i get an email saying that i owe $ 20 to
for my 2 year subscription. The email even had my full name & address!
I looked it up online & apparently Destination Maternity & Motherhood Maternity have been doing this continuously for the past few years where they ask you for your info to give you a free issue, but they don’t tell you that they use your info to subscribe you to a magazine for the next two years.
The associate was very nice & i’m sure she was just doing her job, but the company &
are SCAMMING women. There are plenty of women online who say that they said yes to the free issue & end up getting $ 20 taken out of their bank account a month or two later. I absolutely abhor shady businesses.
Either don’t shop at destination maternity or just be careful what you say yes to.

I came here when I first found out I was expecting. Everyone was so helpful! If Jennifer is there, trust her, she will find you some cute things that will work!
