Bangkok Avenue is by far the best thai food in the world! Always fresh, very flavorful and excellent service with many smiles. A warm and friendly experience.

Just an ordinary storefront Thai restaurant in yet another strip mall. But delivers excellent food at great prices with wonderful service. Highly recommend their scallop dish, this is our new«go to» Thai place.

I’ve read the reviews and we finally made it there to try it out. I like the décor and how it laid out. We were seated promptly and we started with the fresh rolls which were very tasty, but a little pricy having no protein inside. We liked the peanut sauce that came with it. We had the Thai Chow Mein and the Rad Nah, which were both very good and had good flavor. The prices are overall very reasonable and we definitely will be regular customers, especially with the very good service we received.

Bangkok Avenue is the best Thai food I have had stateside! And that is saying a lot as I have sampled hundreds of Thai restaurants from east to west. Their salt and pepper chicken wings are truly delightful! Fried to the perfect crispiness, with the fried basil and garlic, they are heavenly! I would come for these alone. But the crab cream puffs are insane as well! They call Thailand and the land of a thousand smiles, and that spirit is alive here at Bangkok Avenue! Treat yourself to real Thai food.

Ok thai food, I’ve definitely had better. I had my go-to at thai places– chicken pad see ew. It was dry and tasted burnt– needs more sauce and moisture. Had the wonton shrimp for an appetitizer– had 6 pieces for $ 8. My companion had the chicken sweet and sour but it tasted like fish which made it unappetizing. I am not sure if they used the same pot without washing it or what… Also had the crab fried rice which was the best thing we ordered. Their lunch specials are mostly wok dishes– nothing I was interested in. They should include popular dishes and an egg roll in their special. Includes soup and salad for $ 9.

This place has good food, nice atmosphere and good service. This time they weren’t on their game, unusual, as usually its a good experience. This time the wontons were not hot, the pad thai noodles were over cooked. They were gracious and offered to replace, but we were hungry and in a hurry. It was not horrible just not great they did discount the bill. I would come back again tho. I like this place and it has great memories with the woman of my dreams.

Pros: very authentic Thai cuisine(pahk glang). Really delicious and well priced. The staff are friendly and tons of fun. Cons: we live in west LA/Beverly hills– it’s too far for us to come here regularly! Tips: use the first time checkin to get the Thai iced tea. It’s rally good(not excessively sweet like some)

Wow. I’ve been driving by this place everyday and finally went in. By far the BEST Thai food within 10 miles… if not more. The papaya salad was out of this world. We also got the crispy honey duck which was amazing. But whatever you do, make sure you get the crispy banana dessert with the coconut ice cream. You’ll be thankful you did.

Friendly service and good food! The inside of the restaurant is very modern and not decorated with the usual authentic Thai decorations. The place was very clean and the servers were attentive. — Seafood soup: would definitely get it again! Tasty broth with a good amount of seafood inside(fish, mussel, crab, fish, squid) — Pad See Ew: good noodles but burnt meat :/ — Thai iced coffee: everyone complained it was too sweet but I thought it was perfect. I’ve had a lot Thai iced coffees in my day and this is one of the better ones. Reasonably priced place with good service and food.

In the area and hungry for some Thai food, my boyfriend and I came back here for round #2. To be honest, we were both salivating for some Thai iced tea, and the first sip was just as excellent as last time. Hooray! We came during lunch again, but this visit we decided to mix it up and order an appetizer and main entrée to share. For starters, we had the tofu crisp($ 6.95), which was nice and something I wouldn’t ordinarily make at home. The sauce on the side was good and brought it to a whole new level. We were a little unsure as to which entrée to pick, but after conversing with our server, we went with the panang curry with chicken and brown rice($ 11.95). It was bordering on too spicy for me, but since my boyfriend and I were sharing, I agreed to try and up my spice tolerance for this meal. It was delicious, and we enjoyed tasting all the ingredients in the curry, like the coconut milk. Another great meal at Bangkok Ave!

If you like Thai cuisine, if you’re in Thousand Oaks, come eat here. This is the first restaurant in a very long time that exceeded my expectations in every way. Every server is so friendly and helpful with recommending good dishes and refilling water several times without being asked. Tried and recommended: 1. Red curry with tofu 2. Sauteed green beans with tofu They even took our leftovers from the table and packaged them up for us! At the moment it was alarming because we thought we were losing our leftover food, but they reassured us that we’d get it back all wrapped up. Private parking lot, too! A+

My family came here on a Sunday night, so the place was not busy and we had no trouble finding parking in the plaza. Walking in, I was impressed by how trendy the décor was(unlike many asian restaurants that look chintzy). The staff is extremely friendly and polite, and it seems like the entire restaurant is run by one family. The 4 of us ordered a chicken pad thai, beef drunken noodles, chicken eggplant, and garlic almond shrimp(chef’s special) to share. The pad thai was okay. I have no problem with fish sauce, but I thought the taste of fish sauce and lime overpowered everything else in their pad thai, and the noodles felt soggy and wet. The drunken noodles, on the other hand, were excellent. The medium spiciness had a surprising kick, they gave us a good amount of beef and vegetables(onions, peppers, bamboo), and the noodles were very soft. Definitely order the drunken noodles over the pad thai, if you can handle the spiciness and you want more vegetables. We all loved the chicken eggplant. The eggplants were pillowy and soft(as well cooked eggplants should be) and the sauce was well balanced, not too sweet and not too salty. My mom is extremely picky, but she loved this dish. The garlic almond shrimp was not listed on the menu, but we asked if it was available(we saw the pictures on Unilocal) and the waitress told us that it was their most popular special. The dish comes with a surprising amount of fried shrimp with broccoli and roasted almond slices. The sauce is very good, albeit a little salty, which is not a problem if you eat it with rice. I would definitely recommend both the chicken eggplant and the garlic almond shrimp. Overall, the food here is very very good. The portions are just the right size to leave you feeling satisfied but not uncomfortably full. I would probably give the place 4.5 stars(but I will round up) because I was disappointed with the pad thai, but everything else was near perfect. If I ever want Thai food in Conejo valley, I will definitely come back to Bangkok Avenue. **Make sure you check in on Unilocal to get your free Thai Iced Tea/Coffee!**

Located next to Rhineland Deli. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s nice on the inside. I came during lunch and their specials include salad, soup and rice. Also, if you check in on Unilocal, you get a free THAIICETEA or Thai ice coffee. I got the PADTHAI lunch special. This one doesn’t include rice. The salad wasn’t anything special, but the soup was a hearty veggie and tofu soup. The pad thai was really good… so much so that the next time I came for lunch I skipped the lunch special and got the regular pad thai so I could have more of it! The Thai ice tea was also excellent and you get a big jarful.

Visited on New Year’s Eve because boyfriend and I were craving Thai and we were staying at a hotel in the area. This place showed up on Unilocal as one of the highest rated Thai/Asian cuisine spots in the area so we decided to give it a go. The place was busy when we arrived– only two tables were available and they were helping two large dinner parties in addition to smaller groups of 2 – 3 people. It seemed like a family owned and operated type of vibe so the entire restaurant was serviced by the same 3 people but they were hustling and were very gracious. The menu has all your typical Thai dishes at good prices so we ordered some of our favorites– Thai chow mien, Spicy Basil Chicken, steamed rice, and a Thai meatball appetizer. It was our first time trying Thai meatballs and they left something to be desired… kind of chewy, not very flavorful on their own, but the sauce they were served with was delicious. The Thai chow mien and the Spicy Basil Chicken were both delicious! Lots of flavor and very filling! I love family owned places like this and both the food and service are great! If we’re ever back in the area, this will definitely be a «go to» place.

I want to give this place more stars but I couldn’t actually eat inside. I had to leave with a terrible headache before ordering because the place reeks of acetone. The owner needs to have a serious talk with the landlord because the nail place is at least two doors down. I ended up going home and my family stayed long enough to have appetizers and bring the food home. Glad they did, because the one dish I had was good. I would consider take-out again, but that headache and any damage to my family’s lungs wasn’t worth it. I feel bad for the workers in that building.

I had the Gods on my side — I got the last parking spot available, and the last table available. Obviously, I was in for a treat! Casual and«wanna be» trendy style. The décor, well, a bit of a hodge podge, made even more so with Halloween decorations. I didn’t like the rustic wood wall with mirrors mixed with the brick wall along with Edison light bulbs at the bar and some Chinese décor like the gold/red decorative shelf. Alas, it’s the food that counts, but geesh. 1. Make sure to «check in» on Unilocal for a complimentary Thai Ice Tea or Coffee. Yep! Giddy up! 2. Shrimp Chips($free) — I always like free, so the little plate of shrimp chips works for me. A little nibble to bide one’s time. Easy to make no matter, very oily but appreciated.(4.0 stars) 3. Spicy Basil with Shrimp — Absolutely delicious shrimp made so but wonderful spices and perfection cooking. Unfortunately, a complete bore around the shrimp. Loose veggies, mainly slivered red peppers and onions. 8 shrimp wasn’t enough to carry this dish, and I wouldn’t order again.(~$ 12, 3.5 stars) 4. Chow Mein with Chicken — very oily. But the saving grace was two things, the only 6 pieces of chicken and noodles were very tasty. I would order this again with prefacing«a small amount of oil».(~$ 12, 4.0 stars) It’s very clean. Maybe because it’s newish, but they’ve been open for 2+ months, and I have to say, it was immaculate. I like this. The bathroom was well taken care of as well. Lovely service. Happy, smiley, and prompt despite very busy. This newcomer, Bangkok Avenue, seems like a force to be reckoned with. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I was so happy to finally make it to this great new(ish) place for Thai in Thousand Oaks. Parking is a bear, so allow lots of time to find a spot. The restaurant was surprisingly empty. Service is really, really friendly and attentive. Most importantly: the food is really good! Loved the Thai chow mein and the tofu salad. The tofu vegetable soup was tasty, too. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and not too heavy. They will accommodate vegetarian/vegan requests – just ask. After our meal, they brought complimentary dessert… some sort of tapioca situation with corn and red beans. I loved it, but I’m down for Asian-style desserts. Not too sweet, a bit salty… tasty.

What an absolutely great find in TO area! Didn’t know where to go and found this place on Unilocal! It is located right in the plaza next to the Lakes mall. SO glad we tried it. It’s a fairly new restaurant, and OHMAN it’s delicious! And the service is amazing. Not to mention they have my favorite type of ice – the small, crunchy ones that feel like shaved ice. AND redeemed a free Thai iced tea using Unilocal App:). Ordered the glass noodles, pad Thai, eggplant lover, shrimp appetizer, chicken satay, pad see ew, green curry, pineapple fried rice, and drunken noodles! The heat on each dish can be adjusted too in case some can’t handle all them peppers. My favorites were the pad thai and the pineapple fried rice. Portions are good for sharing. To top off the yummy lunch, they gave us all free dessert – purple sticky rice! Nom nom! I definitely plan on coming back with my friends and family soon! Must try if you’re ever in Thousand Oaks.
