Had a hostile experience making the appointment(used a Groupon). I brushed it off as she was having a bad day. The massage was really ordinary I am not over playing the experience, it was just a very ordinary experience. The hot towels were scratchy, the vibe was negative. I would really like to promote this small business but I just can’t. Hopefully the owner takes this feedback with the spirit which it is intended.

I had a great experience here. I had a massage with hot towels. Lubica was my therapist and did a wonderful job. She focuses on where you tell her any problem areas are. Very pleased and I will go back.

I bought two groupons one for me one for my boyfriend. I called and talked to the owner once, we couldn’t find a time that fit mine or her schedule. I had called back 7 – 8 times trying to make an appointment and she refused to call me back. I wrote groupon and they contacted her and she still never called me back! Groupon at least refunded me my money for mine I’m waiting for my my boyfriends refund but still it’s ridiculous. you want a massage in Thousand Oaks I would recommend nirvana day spa parking lot it’s not as cheap as this groupon but they did a good job, and call you back!

I rarely buy a Groupon without Unilocaling the business but in this instance I did, and then read the Unilocal reviews and my heart sank. Obviously there are a lot of negative things said about this place and I was nervous, but that’s why I felt compelled to post my own review. First off, I was 10 minutes LATE to my appointment, and was not made to feel badly or guilty about it. Secondly, the massage was excellent, head to toe(literally) very well done. This is not a fancy flashy spa for sure, but for the price and the quality of the service I absolutely recommend this place, and will go back. Cara was awesome :)

I was so excited about going to this place! Finally found a place that perfoms EFT. My friend sent me the Groupon deal so I checked there website out and left a message for them to call me. Well, a few days later they did call and I can’t believe the person who called just hung up on me because I asked her who is it that does the EFT, what is there back ground, who am I speaking with and she said«We don’t give that information out unless you make an appointment.» I told her that I always do my due diligence before I go to any new practitioner. She said she was uncomfortable with this conversation and hung up… Would you trust going to a place like this?

My wife purchased a couples massage on Living Social. I was skeptical because I had never heard of Aviente prior. So, I looked it up on Unilocal and was pretty depressed by all the bad reviews. So, I went in expecting the worst, hoping that it would be over quickly. To my surprise, everyone working there was pleasant, and so was the atmosphere(unlike some of the reviews). It was comfortable, modest and the very opposite of pretentious. There was a family vibe to it. An hour later, I realized that I had just experienced one of the best massages of my life, and I’ve had more than my fair share. My masseuse(can’t remember name) is insanely good at what she does. She seemed to have an almost surgical expertise when it came to isolating muscles. She took her time and I was practically transported to another dimension. Perfect pressure, perfect duration in each spot. I will be back for sure. My wife was equally impressed. A few weeks ago, she had a $ 350 massage at the Four Seasons. The space is breathtaking, but her massage was not. The moral to the story is, don’t judge a book by its cover and don’t think that a big price tag and fancy lobby ensures quality. It doesn’t.

We read the reviews on Unilocal and were already expecting disappointed. Glad we took a chance. My husband I both had a wonderful experience there. The 50 minute massage with hot towels was amazing. The quality of the massage is better than any high end spa I have ever gone to. I highly recommend going here, not sure what went wrong with the other folks that left such horrible reviews. We are definitively going back!

I found the deal on living social. However I don’t feel like that should be any excuse as to why they should perform so poorly. The massage itself was pretty good. She didn’t really read my notions to stop so hard but I know I should’ve spoke up. I didn’t speak up because it was my first time and I knew it would be rather painful. however afterwards the mention some club thing and it was just very unprofessional.

I bought a groupon for a massage here. A little difficult to locate but managed to find it after walking around the parking lot. I had a very good experience. I was a little worries because of the previous reviews but it’s a nice little place. Very friendly staff I am happy with their service

I am writing this review on the urging of my wife. She used a groupon just a few days ago and was pleased with the facial and the service she received. She wanted this review written, in all fairness, because the previous reviews are not so kind. The owner is a kind woman, who greeted my wife with a smile and offered her coffee, tea, water. The location is a bit off the beaten path but they are refurbished duplex houses. The service was good, the facial was good, the groupon deal was excellent. My wife said she will continue to look for the deals and would definitely return.

I purchased a Groupon for the«50-minute integrated massage with hot-stone on back or paraffin» deal. Silly me. I actually thought this meant I would get a hot-stone massage. Nope. The massage was horrible. She used her elbow the entire time, even when I told her it was too hard. Her response was that she needed to be hard to work out the knots.(I’ve had plenty of massages that worked out my knots without inflicting pain — thank you). The hot-stone consisted of piling a bunch of hot stones on my back after massaging it. Oh — and by the way — you have to sign away your rights to EVERYTHING before they will serve you. State, Federal, liability, etc. — sign it all away. When I asked if they offered hot-stone massage, the owner said yes, but the Groupon is only for hot-stone«treatment». What a misdirected mess. I cannot recommend this facility when there are so many others available that follow better contract, liability, and advertisement practices. Oh, and provide better massages. I couldn’t even get a hold of anyone to schedule an appointment for weeks.

I like to think of myself as a sushi aficionado AND spa connoisseur so I think you can trust my opinion on this pathetic excuse for Aviante«Wellness Center and Spa. I wouldn’t even compare the nasty owner, Susan, to anyone who runs a business ANYWHERE!!! Susan has no idea how to run a «wellness» spa, in fact, I think she is the complete antithesis of her business name. After trying to reach her for a few days and playing phone tag, I finally made an appointment for 2 Saturday’s ago, November 17th, at 1:00 pm. As soon as I told her I had a Bogopod, she became downright rude, but still booked me for my HOUR hot stone massage. I called to see if I could extend my spa time but never heard back from her but still got there in ample time, in fact, 10 minutes early. When I arrived I also had a 50% off coupon that I wanted to use for a cold laser treatment on my piriformis/gluteus medius/sciatic but she didn’t have time to do that because she is so «BUSY» and not from the Bogopod coupon but because she has so MANY clients. She told me that if I stayed and had the now 50 minute hot stone massage, I couldn’t use my 50% off coupon because I wouldn’t be a new customer and if she let me use it after my ONEHOUR massage, which was really only 50 minutes, she would have to do it for everyone else, and being the«HONEST» person that she is, even though she lied about how long her massage is, she couldn’t make an exception. She wasn’t even NICE about trying to encourage me to come back for what I really needed and had discussed with her on the phone before I bought the Bogopod coupon, so who is the DIS-honest person here? Okay, sorry for ranting but read this part. I actually rescheduled my appointment for the following Tuesday, Nov 20th at 1:30 pm. I had another appointment that day until 12:45 so I knew that I made it at 1:30 pm. I arrived at 1;15 pm and the cottage was open but there was no one at the desk. I called out for her and she didn’t come up front. I went out then came back in after 6 minutes and she still wasn’t there. I called her on both phone numbers, and the voicemail picked up. I went outside to move my car closer, then came back again at 1:42. She came out of one of the back rooms and said that I MISSED my appointment which was at 12:30 pm. Now, honestly, I KNEW that I had to be someplace else until 12:45 pm that day so OBVIOUSLY, she said that because she had NO intention of providing me with the service I had made the appointment for OR being able to use the BOGOPOD coupon that I had already paid for. She was very rude in a matter of fact kind of way and said it was MY problem for being late and not hers for booking it at an earlier time then we had AGREED upon. Please, everyone, be warned that even if she was the Sciatic GOD and could cure you with her bare hands, it wouldn’t be worth enduring her NASTY and icy COLD personality! !! Thank goodness that the nice people at BOGOPOD were more than happy to credit my account for this very unfortunate experience!!! BUYERSBEWARE!!!

I bought a Conejo Deal for Valentine’s Day… a couples package. I exceeded the time frame due to circumstances and they were great about it! They very nicely extended it for me with no argument. The Valentine’s Day couples package was fantastic! We loved it!!! The first time, allow extra time as the location is difficult to find. If you are not familiar with Thousand Oaks… there is an entrance off of Thousand Oaks Blvd and one from the side street. I like the property… I thought it was quaint. And for the other reviewer… most people know that an hour massage is 50 minutes… so for future reference… the 10 minutes is for changing, etc. and is part of the appointment.

I got a conejo deals coupon for a Micodermabrasion /AHA peel /massage. And yes I called the SPA pretty late. I mean before coupon expiration date. There is no receptionist so you have to leave a message and they call you back /from a restricted number. Don’t understand why. I personally don’t answer blocked calls. So we played phone tags for few days. Unfortunately they are not open Saturdays, so when a working mom can get a facial? They are open late Wednesdays so I could get in after work at 5 pm„ and they honored my coupon, after expiration. The owner lady was kind, she did the facial. The microdermabrasion was gentle, to me it was too gentle. Next day didn’t even feel my face smooth and clean. When I woke up next morning I had giant pimples all over my face, I looked like I was 17 and teenager and have full blown acne. I don’t know what she put on my face but didn’t work for me. Than I got a massage. The lady was kind, I liked the way she massaged me, when she actually massaged me. She massaged my shoulder, it was good, put cream on me legs and kinda left it there. The cream was so oily than a needed a body curb at home to take all the oil off of me. I like body lotion but that was just too much. She didn’t even wiped it off with a hot towel as most places do. I don’t think that’s my place. Just didn’t get what I expected.

I am thrilled by the treatments I’ve received at Aviante Health and Wellness in the past month! I play tennis and recently had a swollen knee as well as a long-lingering rotator cuff problem. I received the low level laser treatment and the swelling and pain disappeared the very day of the treatment. I was shocked by how quickly the treatment worked. The sooner the injuries are treated the sooner the recovery. My rotator cuff injury is also feeling so much better! Aviante is one of the few commercial places in the country that has this machine which is primarily used at universities. I also had a dermabrasion treatment and I like the«brush» approach as it’s not as aggressive as other dermabrasion methods. My skin looks and feels better and I’ve received quite a few compliments. Susan, the proprietor, has been great to work with, very responsive and I’ve received reminder phone calls about my appointments. So happy to be going there!

This place is fantastic. I went there on a deal and was pleasantly surprised when the massage was theraputic and the facial was amazing. Not the usual fluff you get. I liked it so much I joined. Been going for several months now and love it. The location is really quaint. A little hard to find the first time, but once you do you’ll want to go back again and again.

I purchased a Living Social deal for Aviante for a brow wax, and I really wish I’d seen the reviews for them first. Trying to make an appointment was so annoying that I’ve decided it’s not even worth it, and I’m just going to swallow the $ 10 I spent on the deal and save myself any more of a headache. When you call they don’t answer the phone; you just get a recording, and you have to leave a message saying when you want to book your appointment. The first time I tried, they never even called me back. So I had to try again, and when I finally got to talk to a real person she was totally rude. What a waste of time! Just glad I didn’t waste too much money… too bad they’ll still get paid for the deal.

This place was so hard to find! It literally looks like someone’s house, which I though was super weird. I had a Living Social deal for an hour long massage, and she definitely only gave me 50 minutes. I was a little annoyed, but since she was kind of rough, I honestly didn’t mind that much that the time was cut short. I would never pay full price for this.
